Spectacular piece of art. The Memorial is built with intricate detailing and looks amazing specially during the night time. The memorial also has an indoor space where they show a documentary on the making of the Memorial which you should not miss. The whole place is serene, calm and quiet.

The Constellation is a cuboid modernist art installation with a series of five polyhedrons, strategically suspended to form a 3D potrait of the Sheikh. They are lit up around 5.45pm. The Constellation is surrounded by an elevated walkway giving you an all-round view. Around this is the Heritage Garden, with Ghaf trees, Date palms, Acacias, Henna, Sewak and numerous desert shrubs. Entry is free to this absolute gem. Security are vigilant and place is always clean. Parking is available. Lots of areas to sit and observe. The visitors center gives a video coverage of the life of HH Sheikh Zayed.

Beautiful garden with a contemporary memorial, the constellation, sitting in the middle of it. It memorializes Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Father of the Nation, as he came forth with the idea of unification of the several emirates into a new unified country.

Squeaky clean place. Vast open space with lot of seating area but without shelter however you could find some place in tree shades. Pleasant place to spend the evening. Easy to access with wheel chair and strollers. Heritage garden has native plants and some has pleasant smell. Almost all the time this place is empty but with more than enough active security guards and house keeping people. Enough parking nearby. There is a air conditioned area to seat 20+ people to watch the founders videos and interviews in big screen. All concrete floor no lawn area.

I saw this place several times on my commute. Finally went there, I was very happy. There's a big screen with a small black room where they show you small clips about UAE founder. Once you come out you can take a small walk to " the constellation" it's an art work with threads and glasses. It looks really pretty with a view of Etihad tower and Emirates place. A nice place to relax and sit with your friends or in solitude!

Beautiful memorial, lovely walk with a small water feature and lots of greenery. The 3D face sculpture of Sheikh Zayed is very impressive although better viewed from distance. There is a small indoor "museum" one room really where you can learn more about the founder through digital display. The memorial is beautifully constructed, from architectural point of view, I loved the clean lines and materials used. Also it was interesting to read about the greenery/shrubs/palm trees planted within, they all have a link to the desert life and the last. Most you can spend there is maybe 30 minutes but well worth the visit.

Amazing piece of art. The architecture of it is simply stunning. The staff in the visitor center were all smiling and happy to see a baby entering and heading to see the monument. The whole infrastructure of this project is well thought through. And the fact this is a free place to visit should make it a must-see for any tourist (or resident/ local) of Abu Dhabi. We went there during the day and we were the only visitors which made the experience even more special. I'd love to visit it at night one day.

This is hands down, my favorite place in Abu Dhabi after the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. I do not want to write much as it may just spoil the experience of people visiting for the first time. If you read this review, just do not read or browse anything else about it, and just let it surprise you. It's beautiful, it's elegant and it's DYNAMIC. I know it does not make sense describing a memorial as dynamic, but wait before you see it. This memorial is so apt to the visionary the world knows as Sheikh Zayed. God bless him! PS: I really wish, they had left the old paining/sculptor there as well...the one which was there earlier. It was beautiful and symbolic in its own way. Or maybe they should put it somewhere else.
