Lovely place for a picnic. There are open restrooms here, along with a nice playground, basketball courts, tables & benches. Nice paved walking pathways. A group of girls were making daisy chains for their hair, folks were walking their dogs.

This was one of my places of peace during Covid lockdowns. I love that it's a safe, family-friendly park, with great big trees and a nice, green field in the middle area. I come here to do yoga, walk my dog, and meditate.

Great neighborhood park and playground. All the play structures are always functional and well maintained. One of the few remaining playgrounds with the old school metal merry-go-round that can either make you hurl chunks or get clocked in the head and leave a memorable lump. Two sections, one for older kids and one for tots plus a small sand pit. Baby bucket and regular swings complete this gem of a playground, not to mention basketball and tennis courts, plus baseball field and restrooms that are typically clean.

Mix of recreational options for kids and adults, including a playground, basketball hoops, tennis courts, and a softball field. Beautiful redwoods and grassy area complete the scene.

Franklin Park is a great place to hang out with kids, or just sit under a tree. A bunch of us held a potluck sing-a-long day. Everyone had fun. Heck even the ice truck drove by while we were here. There's a pool here, but private membership is required.

Well I'm sure you don't want to hear the details at my own experience some thirty-odd years ago LOL. The park is changed and it is a lot better for the kids to play at I bring my granddaughter there. We ride our bikes there maybe twice a week. Stay for about 2 to 3 hours.

Only thing I didn’t like was the fact that I’m African American and I was the only one and when me and my son started having fun the park capacity went from 48 to 2 hell of a ratio in 17 minutes

We've loved this park before we moved to Alameda. It's small enough to be able to keep an eye on the kids, but still with ample space to do many activities not including the playground. The bathrooms are reliably clean.

Beautiful and peaceful place. The playground itself is not bad, some standout elements like a merry-go-round and a car-shaped bench with steering wheels. Overall a great place for kids, parking is also easy.

Franklin Park is amazing! There's a few big trees outside of the actual park that are awesome to climb on. The play structures are awesome and fun for all ages. There's a swing set, monkey bars, and a merry go round. There is a separate area for more little kids, and then a bigger play structure for older kids to roughhouse on. There's also a basketball court, tennis court, and baseball court! + an extra field that you can play soccer on, just lay down, or play any other games. Along with all of that there is a separate swimming pool that I think you need some kind of membership to get into? Well besides that, Franklin Park is perfect for meetups, events, or just going to vibe. Come check it out!

It is a good place for children to play, and it has a closed playground, which is important for the little ones.

Great park. I feel I can manage watching more than 1 kiddo here. They always ask to return to this park.

This is one of my kids favorite parks in Alameda. I love how the smaller play structure is separate from the older kids structure. My kids love it here, they always leave happy.

👍👍 This park is great! A wonderful park for children ages from 3 to 10yrs. The biggest attraction is the huge slide. ALL the kids play on this thru out the day. Theres a large sandbox, climbing structure, toddler swings, a zip line , a large saucer-basket like swing. It also offers a very long bike...

👍👍 I love this dog park! It's big enough for the dogs to run around and play fetch. It's even big enough for the humans that like to congregate and chat, Even those that tend to congregate too close to the entrance thus making incoming dogs very anxious... You know who you are!
