We tried to stop here before but we were always too late - they're only open to 1 PM. Finally made it here for breakfast and, wow! We will definitely be back. I got the Country Scrambled and it was delicious. Perfect country gravy and lots of sausage and bacon. My wife had the Build-Your-Own Omelet and loved it as well. The price is right and friendly, fast service too. Highly recommended.

Our first time here and the food was great and portions were good! The server was rude and made smart comments to us which made us uncomfortable. She was an older lady. Recommend totally just hope the server has a better attitude next time.

Super friendly, down home cooking! We stopped for breakfast before our White Sands visit and couldn't have been happier. Definitely a locals spot but don't let that stop you... They were a bit short staffed but you'd have never known it. They were so gracious apologizing, etc but we were in and out in less than 30 minutes! The O.K.C. breakfast sandwich (fried egg & cheese on toast with bacon) was perfect. But the winner to me was the Tammy...egg, green chili, ham and swiss on grilled (to perfection) sourdough. Wow! The hashbrowns were definitely better than the breakfast potatoes (which were cold and slightly undercooked) but I didn't even need all that...just give me those breakfast sammies!!!

We're here in town visiting our daughter and son in law. This place made me feel uncomfortable. With their weird propaganda flyers at the front door to the most unfriendliest old waitress serving us. It's definitely a diner that gives one the old country hick vibe, and outsiders aren't welcome. The place is old and worn.

My breakfast had a curly black hair in it. I asked the waitress if the cook had a beard, and she said yes and took it back. Then, the head waitress came over and proceeded to argue with me about the hair. I would not waist my time or money here.

Good food. I had the breakfast special and it was really tasty. Not as warm would have been great, thoug. However, definitely will come back when passing by Alamogordo. Really nice place🇺🇸

First time here. Atmosphere is good but wait staff was okay. The Mountian Man which is biscuits and gravy was dry and had no flavor in either gravy or biscuit. 1 star for me even though I was told it was a great breakfast place.

For the most part food was good but potatoes, bacon, and toast were cold so must have been precooked. The corned beef hash and eggs were quite good. Service was friendly and timely with good prices.

A MUST! I stayed overnight in Alamogordo, NM and in the morning searched out the Our Country Kitchen restaurant based on a recommendation from Joseph from Las Cruces Coins and Collectibles. I almost missed it, except for the big sign in front. It is off the main route and in a mixed commercial-residential zoned neighborhood . The building sort of blends in with the residential homes. Parking is mainly along the front and parallel. Nothing spectacular about the inside, EXCEPT for the WONDERFUL LADIES who greeted and attended to me and the FAST, WARM-HEARTED and GENUINELY FRIENDLY SERVICE that blanketed me. The food is something mom would make you for breakfast, and for prices I haven’t seen for years, even prior to this recent streak of high inflation. I can’t remember when I last paid 10 bucks for 2 eggs (sunny-side up), 2 sausage patties (not small), country potatoes, toast, and coffee. Besides the wonderful folks that work there, the guests were upbeat, friendly, and open to conversation to a stranger like me. I really enjoyed my breakfast there and left with my spirits uplifted.

Hands down, the best country fried steak in all of New Mexico! This "Country Kitchen" is Outstanding!

Oh my goodness, the food at this place is absolutely out of this world! And let me tell you, the staff here are simply phenomenal. They go above and beyond to make you feel so incredibly welcome. It's like dining with old friends every time you step foot in the door. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this brilliant combination of incredible food and the warmest, friendliest staff you'll ever meet!

Wonderful folks with great home cooking. Specials are terrific. Super place to get to know the locals- a very loyal customer base. They work very hard to support the community. Please tip well. They deserve it!

Brilliant place for breakfast. I am from England on a New Mexico road trip and this is the best place for breakfast so far on my trip. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is wonderful, fresh and tasty. The prices are very reasonable as well.

This place is awesome. The very best fresh chicken fried steak and biggest I have ever had. It was sooo good. I really hate to pass on this gem of a restaurant, but they deserve it. You gotta try this place at least once. They are getting more and more known, therefore busy, busy. But so worth it. Try it, enjoy your food, and spread the joy!!

If you're looking for some real down-home food; then look no further. This is the place to come and experience just that. Where the staff knew their customers by their first name, were very kind and courteous and let's not forget about the food! My taste buds were every bit of satisfied. I definitely will be returning, and I most certainly would recommend.

Decent low quality food for the low price. The “Country potatoes” were mushy and strangely brown. My “omelet” had the toppings cooked separately from the eggs, so not a real omelet. And they used CANNED mushrooms. The friendly service and homey environment was nice though. However, I will skip this place next time.

Me and my friend came here as tourists visiting White Sands National Park.. The wait staff here was great! Everyone is so friendly. This is a hometown style diner so don't expect all the bells and whistles of a chain restaurant, but you will have great service and meet great people.

Not the first time I've had breakfast from these guys and it won't be the last. Homemade biscuits done right, classic breakfast combos. I still need to try their green Chile but I can't seem to get away from the biscuits and gravy!

Fabulous food and service, I can't remember any waitress that had it all together and moved fluidly from one table to another. Every order came out of the kitchen much faster than I could imagine and all orders were exactly what was ordered.

Great experience! We were greeted with a smile, the restaurant was very clean and comfortable, and the food and coffee were perfectly prepared. I highly recommend the "Huevos Rancheros" with red chile sauce.

I love the Tammy Sandwich. I've gotten other things that are great, but I come back to this one. It's a good place for kids. They have cute pancake faces and a giant cinnamon roll. It's not expensive but good-sized portions and enough variety that you will find something. They do have weird hours/days and close pretty early.

You know you've come to the right place when you enter and see the big table of 6 seated with hard working men from the local community who've stopped in for their work day lunch. After sampling the food, it made perfect sense. Shared the Bruce Burger with my hubby along with a side of sweet potato fries and was stuffed! Big servings, tasty food, reasonable prices, and a friendly staff. What more could you ask? I'll be back, for sure, next time I'm passing through Alamogordo. -Las Cruces, NM

Local spot and best diner in town. Go for breakfast and brunch. Green chili is amazing and the buscuits are the best in NM!! Whatever you get make sure to get those buscuits and the green chili. And don't drive through town without eating here. Best food in Southern New Mexico for early AM to Lunch.
