Do NOT trust the Expedia images. Checking in at a late hour not only guarantees there's no one in the lobby - but when they do finally answer the door bell they try to speak to you through a closed window like you're going to cause issues. Hard to communicate with persons at lobby due to language barrier. When you get to the rooms: Water was running from the tub faucet non-stop and what is that smell coming from the water? It stank! Showering was awful. The pictures on Expedia made this place look "okay" because the paint appeared fresh and it looked cozy.... nope, it's run down and the room had a broken (but taped!) window in the bathroom; the bedding had cigarette burns (in a smoking room - only taken because of language barrier); the microwave is a lot less modern than the advertisement photos leads a person to believe. Can't even lock the door properly, as there is no deadbolt or chain, etc. It uses one of those self-locking door knobs... they also don't actually lock? My partner opened the door from the outside when it was locked. Left after maybe an hour, and decided it was probably better to just sleep in the desert.

The cleaning person opened my room door in the morning while I was still at sleep. They are all very incompetent. It was very embarrassing, I strongly disapprove this place, I don't recommend. My girlfriend was very upset.

The staff is very friendly and just all around awesome. The bed was huge and very comfortable, but the rest of the room was subpar. Appliances are old and faulty. TV is tiny and has sound issues. The room's space is very small. The AC/heater didn't work very well.

Rough around the edges sure but is no hundred bajillion dollars either. A truly lovely place where it counts…mattress free from bed bugs YES. Such a sweet family of innkeepers. Classic clean and affordable. Thank you! Will say though, after staying a second time… better to get room 19, than 18.

Very rude owner, he said a price first and when we were about to book it he put it up. When I asked why he just said that he would not rent a room to us anymore and to leave his property. He is extremely rude and hostile! Also the place stinks to rotten food when you get into the reception. A place to avoid!

Only good thing about this place was somewhat safe location and rooms was clean. The owners wife was rude when my wife called to make a reservation. She barely spoke English and hung up on my wife trying to make a reservation. Was quoted 35 a night over the phone but the don't do reservations. But since we got hung up on he offered the room at a discount. Sounds great but when I went there the lady said 55 before tax .my jaw dropped I said you told me 35 with a discount but not it's 20 more before taxes even. No you like you mistake was my reply. At this point I was to tired to argue or fight from our drive and just took the room. Was $60 after tax and the. He said ohh room won't be ready for an hour and a half needs cleaned. Unless you pay 10 more for double bed. $70 dollars ended up spending because honestly we had no where to go for the hour and a half and was very tired from our trip. Just felt ripped off and left a bad feeling about it all. If you can get the room for the rate they promise it wouldn't be bad. Just prepare to be ripped off if they feel like it at the moment.

They were rude and very unprofessional, they sat there threatening me over a problem they caused. The room was absolutely nasty there was dead bugs Everywhere so they obviously don’t clean. This is absolutely the worse place I have ever stayed and I will never stay there again. When I tried to go about it a professional way they wanted to yell and scream at me. Horrible staff, Horrible owner. I definitely don’t recommend staying here.

New owner and property manager. Both are crooked. They illegally evicted people who didn't know their rights. Cops are here day and night. Trash is piled up, weeds are out of control, they harass people and try to change the conditions of your lease agreement. They have broken into my room and it's on surveillance, but lied to the cops.

Price is nice ...bed sheets didn't look changed more detail on cleaning..to close to RR tracks..small single room ..good hot water though..

Much better than expected. Owner bought this 2 years ago and they are working on updating. The bed was comfortable. Great shower. The air conditioning was not working when we arrived. I called the office, he came right over. Seems a previous guest had broken something. He offered to move us, but we waited just a bit and it was fine. Requested extra pillows, which he brought over himself. Very friendly and helpful. Close to a lot of stuff and 15 miles from White Sands.

Small motel complex, but very nice, quiet, and clean. The classic inn is almost the center of Alamogordo, so anywhere I want to go is close by.. The owner lives on site and is very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again when I return to Alamogordo.

For a cheap stay this was great, service was great with super nice staff. A burkes outlet & convenience store across the street a bunch of restaurants down the street. The place was updated and really clean. I expected the worse but glad I read the reviews and gave it a try. Near cloudcroft, lincoln national forest and an hour away from Ruidoso =)

Very unfriendly, got looked at and judged, could immediately tell they didn’t like us. Bed covers with no actual blankets, extremely thin towels for the shower, rude reception from the owners. A little friendliness and customer service can go a long way to make up for what you lack in amenities. Do yourself a favor and give your money to someone else.
