Never happened to me before like that. We arrived at the hotel at 2:00pm and we were told to wait one hour for the check in or pay a half of day price for 1 hour since the check in time is from 3:00pm. Really? It was very kind that she let us to wait in the loby and not outside where at the moment was 100F πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… Forgot to tell, that my husband and me both of us we are Hilton gold members. The receptionist didn’t offer any water too. Though another receptionist that works now is super polite, very friendly and helpful. The hotel room is very nice and clean, everything looks new.

From check-in to check out our stay was wonderful and comfortable! The rooms are big, clean and the toiletries provided we're premium quality and full, that was great and unexpected. Multiple USB ports are provided in the rooms, making charging several devices a breeze! The pool was refreshing and the continental breakfast was better than Denny's! I highly recommend a stay at this location and look forward to our family staying again in the future. The parking lot is well lit, and they have surveillance cameras all around the facility, nice added security for your property and belongings for sure. If you are towing a trailer or have an RV the parking lot is smaller, but there is room to park, just have to get crafty or take up a few spaces, we did. If the lot is full the owner of this and the neighboring hotel permits parking along the roadway between the two hotels, which is decently lit from the parking lots as an option as well.

I don't usually write reviews but we recently had such a wonderful experience at Hampton Inn Alamogordo that I had to look up the hotel and write a review. Thanks a lot to Jessica and her team for making my son's birthday celebration the event of a lifetime. We were all very impressed with the birthday room decorations she and the team set up. My son was pleasantly surprised at the Harry Potter themed gift basket he received! Jessica and her team have put a BIG smile on all of our faces! Our room was very clean and every staff we interacted with was super friendly. In addition to the amazing service and accommodations, the hotel is very close to White Sands NP. We were able to enjoy the spectacular sunset at White Sands without worrying about driving long distance back to hotel at night. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We must have hit them at a bad time! It was clean and the staff was friendly. They had just had carpet on first two floors cleaned and it was still wet so they were limited to 3rd floor and the elevator went out so we had to carry suitcases up and down 3 flights. The coffee machine had gone out and they were brewing elsewhere so coffee was slow coming out and full of grounds. The juice machine was out of order and they were having a hard time keeping up. Out of gravy, grey sausage should have been browned, no bacon and eggs over salted. Whirlpool out of order. Great property either needs new management or just really bad luck.

Staff is great! Everyone that I've had the pleasure of interacting with was so friendly, courteous, helpful, and just all around really nice people. Probably the best stay I've ever had in a hotel. Highly recommend

Excellent service very clean rooms. I didn’t get to use the pool or exercise room but everything was superb to me and my liking. My friend and I went for PASSOVER and FEAST of UNLEAVENED BREAD and had a wonderful stay in ALAMOGORDO.

Ive never had a bad experience until now. Elevator πŸ›— was brocken/down. So if you stay at the Alamogordo location make sure you ask if there Elevator is down. My room was clean but didn't have that clean fresh smell. The breakfast was good but the use the same Menu daily?

Are you kidding me?! Wrong, just wrong. 3 floors and no working elevator? And of course the room is on the 3rd floor. Tried to switch but was told they were sold out, ok, maybe. Not prioritizing getting the elevator fixed shows badly on Hampton Inn Alamogordo. Maybe won't stay with Hampton again. Hotel shows it's age. Room was large and sufficient but the beds were not queen size as told. Service was appropriate.

4.5 stars. The rooms were really spacious, the decor was bright, cheery, and modern, and the hotel was clean. The biggest drawback for me was the mattress was firm to the point of being hard.

The staff was helpful and friendly which was the only positive to our stay. AC was broken in our room, there is no maintenance in the evenings and they were booked so we ended up using a desk fan to keep the room from being unbearable. Your only beverage option at breakfast is coffee/tea because their juice and water machine is broken. The elevator is terrifying (rocking, creaking, etc) but I'm unsure of the NM code regarding inspection so πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Definitely stay elsewhere if you have the option.

Our room was spacious and very clean. My review goes mainly to Andrew at the front desk he was very professional and made us feel right at home . Every time we passed by the front desk he asked if everything was ok in our room. We visited multiple hotels to pick our favorite and Andrew talked us right into it… highly recommend this hotel no issues at all !!!! Great customer service!!!

Very nice hotel, stayed three nights and everything was in order. Great employees, every one we interacted with was friendly and professional. Only oddity, was that we arrived in Alamogordo a few hours earlier than we planned, and wanted to check in, shower, and rest a bit. We called and asked about this and were told that if we wanted to check in before 1500 that we would have to pay for half a day. We anticipated getting there around 1300 and have never had this type of experience before at any Hilton/Hampton property so this certainly seemed off-putting. We pretty much drove around, ate lunch and then parked in the parking lot of the hotel until about 1515 when we checked in. Again all the staff was great so I don’t fault them for following whatever policies they are directed to. We plan to visit Alamogordo more often, and had hoped to make this our hotel of choice; perhaps this was just a one-off scenario, but we almost always try to arrive 1-2 hours early so we have time to freshen up and relax a bit so again this experience was a bit unexpected. I realize and understand staffing shortages are a big thing presently, but expecting to charge a patron a half day when arriving 1-2 hours early seems shady - I’d expect this if I wanted to check in, at say 0700 in the morning and would be happy complying under that circumstance. All in all, again nicer hotel than I expected, good breakfast. -1 star for the half day charge situation, but again no ill will towards staff for doing as they’re told.

I stay at this hotel once every week and there's a reason for it. Rooms always super clean and the front desk staff always very accommodating. The cherry on top for me is they always provide free breakfast if your staying here and it's actually good quality food not like what I've experienced at other hotels. I'd recommend this place as I'm always staying here any time I'm in Alamogordo. Can't go wrong with this place. 5 stars

The location is very accessible from the freeway and has many restaurants around, considering it's in a small town. The property is old, and you can feel it all around. The rooms had a solid, damp, burning odor, which was surprising as the hotel is non-smoking. It should do the job for a night's stay, considering the remote location and limited options.

The entire staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room I stayed in was very clean and the hot breakfast was delicious. The Hampton Inn is close to the restaurants and to nearby parks & museums.

So You'll find one of the best hotels ever Here. In Alamogordo, New Mexico period if you ever travel through the area stop and see them, that's the Hampton Inn there. Even chili's was amazing. And I'll be doing the review. Thank you. Folks for always following me and letting me know that you are looking at that the place is that I'm going and like I said, if you're ever traveling through them. And you get stranded in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This is the place to be Hampton Inn right off of Hampton boulevard, and next to the chili's period the front desk staff was amazing. I'll be getting pictures as well as. I'll be getting his name at the front desk. He was the best 5 stars.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton Inn, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel's amenities were fantastic, especially the refreshing pool area. The pool was not only inviting, but impeccably clean, providing a delightful atmosphere for relaxation. One thing that truly stood out was the abundance of towels available. It's often a small detail that can make a big difference, and the Hampton Inn certainly excelled in this aspect. I never had to worry about running out of towels, ensuring a hassle-free and enjoyable time by the pool. Moreover, the cleanliness of the entire hotel was impressive. From the lobby to the rooms, every corner was meticulously maintained. It was evident that the staff takes great pride in keeping the premises spotless, which further enhanced the overall experience. Speaking of the staff, I cannot praise them enough, especially Teresa and her colleagues. Their warmth and friendliness made me feel genuinely welcome throughout my stay. They were attentive, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any request or question I had. Their positive and approachable demeanor added an extra layer of comfort and made me feel right at home. Overall, my experience at the Hampton Inn was absolutely fantastic. The pool area, with its cleanliness and ample supply of towels, provided a refreshing and enjoyable retreat. The outstanding service and genuine friendliness displayed by Teresa and the entire staff were commendable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a positive and memorable stay.

Not the best place if you want a good nights sleep. The floor above is paper thin and you can hear everything. Front desk staff was nice. Checked out exhausted and wish I would have stayed elsewhere.

Love this hotel! Great employees that are all about making your stay a pleasant one. Great breakfast. Has a small gym but has a contract with Anytime fitness right across the street. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and near a main street. Walmart is down the road. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Rooms and bathrooms have plenty of space . Will be staying here again for future trips.

This was the perfect place to stay! Our family of 8 was welcomed and made to feel at home. We really appreciated the staff and the ease of checking in and out. The room was clean and the location was perfect. Sleds were free to check out from the front desk which made the stay at this hotel even better. I would definitely stay here again with my family and recommend this hotel to anyone.

Refreshed hotel with clean, comfy rooms. Nearby Anytime Fitness accessible for guests was a nice touch too. Hot breakfast free in the morning as well. Nearby restaurants within easy walking distance and White Sands National Park a 15 minute drive away make this a solid choice for your next adventure.

From the moment I arrived I felt warmly welcomed and taken care of. Front staff was VERY friendly and helped me change rooms to a quieter one when I experienced a loud upstairs guest. Breakfast staff was SUPER friendly making sure all the guests had what they needed. They even offer a to go breakfast bag which is helpful when you’re running out the door and don’t have time to eat! 10/10 would recommend.

We made the reservation here for the quality price, hot tub and the tempting breakfast. I was sorely disappointed when we arrived and discovered the hot tub was out of service, elevator broken, the shower had NO pressure and faulty (I could hardly get the conditioner out of my hair ). The breakfast and bed were the most desirable parts of our stay.

Good: Firm comfortable bed; Clean bedding; Decent breakfast with good varieties; Friendly staff; Nice shower; close to White Sands NP Bad: Sewage noises; Construction in early morning; Close to highway (this seems to be common with NM hotels); Old room smells

Older hotel that was recently updated. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The elevator was out, but they call ahead of arrival to make sure they could accommodate my team.

I was disappointed because our room had a slight odor and older than expected. We had a second floor room and flooring was loose. The shower diverter was not working properly. The worst part was that at night, we could hear every foot steps from the third floor. The location of hotel was good. Our room was generally clean and we appreciate it came with breakfast.

I have been staying at Hampton Inns for many years now and know what to expect. However, this place exceeded my expectations because the room is the first time I ever stayed in any establishment that there was not a spec, a spot or a smudge on anything anywhere. The cleanliness was far beyond my expectations. As always the room was comfortable and quiet. When we arrived the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the Hamptons is always good and this was no exception everything was as expected or better.

Overall it was ok. Shower was warm and not hot. Room was pretty clean and beds were pretty comfortable. Even though the person above was not noisy, you could hear every footstep.

Hampton Inn is always so nice comfy beds and plenty of space to relax and unwind for the day. I especially loved the wall pictures of white sands national park. It made me feel home away from home. Definitely will be here again in the future.

Older hotel but it was super clean and the staff was very friendly. Water pressure could be better but the shower was hot! Pool still closed, but full hot breakfast available!
