The mosquito bites were horrible. They should keep provide fan to have good air flow and also keep flies away. The pizza was okay but not to my expectations that of Domino's or Favourite Pizza. The light ambiance was okay. Yet felt on the darker side. Menu list was small and no much variety was there. It was okay considering the covid situation. Would like to see more non veg items on the list. Could have basic chicken and meat items. Also being on the beach side I expected there might be some fish items but sadly wasn't there. Definitely would come again in future for another try before getting dark to have a hopefully good more recipes. The support staff was good and helpful. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's a good cafe. There are very limited options for food and beverages. But they are good enough. The taste is good. Have tried Chicken tikka masala (4.5/5), Kerala style chicken roast (3/5), tandoor paratha (4/5) and lime juice (3/5) here. They play English songs. It's close to the beach. You can see the beach while dining. There are 3 types of sitting arrangement to choose from.

One of the best cafes i have ever visited in my lifetime. Their ambience and total things were pleasing and awesome. This beach side cafe is highly recommended to hangout with your people peacefully. My review will be a repeat of what the others have mentioned. Had the chicken pop corn and grilled fish (spicy variant). The former was spot on, good scrumptious snack. The grilled fish was something totally different. A masala thats unique to them, not too spicy and flavourful. The place has a good ambience, unhindered view to the sea. Also, offers multiple seating options. Easy to locate also. Wish there were more options in the drinks section.

Cudnt ask for more when it comes to the ambience. Loved the fresh air beach side seating the most. The service was commendable with a pleasing hospitality. And the live music adds on to the already beautiful serene atmosphere. It's like a cherry on top. Would definitely recommend this place. The only suggestion, they can improve on the juice and shakes. Mint lime ordered was not so good. Loved the noodles and sandwich, especially the fries.

This restaurant has a stunning location overlooking the nice part of the beach! and the restaurant beach side and at walking distance. Its a good place to chill in the afternoon or evening. People just lie down and enjoy the sunset. The chef will take his own time in preparing dishes. So if you are in a hurry just avoid. But if you want to relax then its a good place to be. Food wont disappoint you at all.

The atmosphere of this place deserves 6 stars. You could sit there for hours. The beach view is amazing and it is always breezy. The food is good and the price is reasonable. My train was delayed and I had checked out of my hostel. So I went to catamaran at around 12 pm and sat there till 5pm. And I didnt realise the time fly. The service was great. They kept coming back every time I wanted to order something new. Evenings are a bit more crowded. But they have ample space. One star less because the food wasn't spicy enough for my Indian taste buds. Everything else was good

A beautiful rooftop beach cafe with great ambience. You can definitely enjoy the sunset view while having your food/ beverages. We had Veg Fajita Pasta with a mix of Red-White sauce along with Cold coffee and a Red Smoothie. I really liked the pasta and cold coffee. Prices are little expensive when compare to other restaurants nearby, but given the view, service and food taste, it is worthy.

Great Atmosphere with decent food. We tried their chicken pizza. It was good. The place seems to be crowded at night. So reserve a table before you go. We have to wait for around 10 - 15 minutes for a table. Service can be improved.

Its one of the best locations ! It was easy to reach and they have variety of food, you can find both traditional Indian food 🥘 also 🐠 many seafood meals. The food was so Good I tried the garlic butter lemon 🍋 fish! One of the best. Staff are so kind and friendly they have always been helping and happy to meet new people.

You get to onlook the sea while having a meal. In terms of price and taste of the food it was good. We ordered lime juice, orange juice, club sandwich, chicken pizza, chciken wings and sea food roll. The club sandwich was a bit of a let down. The chicken wings were yummy. The let down related to covid safety was the waiters were not wearing masks or a face shield. They have plenty of mosquitoes in the evening. Tye staff are friendly and they did go beyond their job and removed two bikes so that we get parking.

One can always feel the breeze of the Arabian sea here at Cafe Catamaran. The atmosphere and the view is so beautiful, you might overlook ordering a drink. Top floor has two levels that lets you sit on floor chairs and dine, while the other one has conventional tables and chairs. The sitting side may let you smell burning skin on a really sunny afternoon, so not recommending that side during noon time. Menu options are normal cafe items and tastes fine, but then again you are here mostly to enjoy the air.

Wonderful sea facing restaurant, nice ambience..You can really enjoy your beach time here, I do repeat you should enjoy and feel just awesome here.. It remains open from morning ~8am to night 11pm, and you can spend 2-3hrs. over there easily and get delicious foods also.. All kind of common seafood and chicken dishes are available,with plenty of variety of juices..And most important is the very tasty food @ pocket worthy price..Very friendly staffs and nice behavior.. Loved it !!

We were at Alleppey Beach and searching for a cafe with a good sea view. We found this cafe which was full of customers. We waited for 10 mins and got a table. We ordered white Sauce pasta, veg Pizza, mint lime Mojito and passion fruit Mojito. Had the worst Pizza of my life which was chewy and tasteless. The best one was the Passion fruit Mojito which was really refreshing and we enjoyed it. Highly recommended for Mojito. Mocktails are pocket friendly there.

Amal was very helpful, ginger garlic prawns was really good for 450rs, the fruit plate for 150rs was moderate quantity compared to other cafes, the watermelon juice for 80rs was good. The place was a moderately clean and lost current 2 times for 30sec within 40mins, but nothing to complain as slow city slow life is the motto ! Good view of the sea and good chill music ! Will surely come back

The overall experience was nice here, this is a perfect place by the beach to enjoy with your friends or all by yourself. There are mostly non vegetarian options available. The taste was fresh and satisfying. The decor was amazing, the staff were smiling and the air was breezy. Perfect, isn't it?

The cafe Catamaran.If we say cool to say nothing, we can say that cool is a hidden place that no one who comes to Alappuzha will miss. A place where we can eat food after seeing the beauty of the beach and watching the waves and seeing the sunset view. The interior of this place is foreign touch and they are the main thing that can be seen here. We can spend more time here. I came in the evening and it was very quiet. Speaking of food, the menu included an English breakfast. The food was awesome and the price is normal rate for everyone. Service is good . This place is very near to Zostel Allepey, shalom beach residency. Tried breakfast, brunch and dinner there. Not enough varieties for veg indian cuisine (only dish available was paneer butter masala). Plenty of breakfast options available, pancakes are my favourite. Nice view and soothing ambience.

Great vibe, place has great potential. Will definitely recommend for a lazy evening. Orders take too long though, needs to be improved! And recommend having food here itself rather than a takeaway, since packaging def needs help!

Its a must visit cafe in alappuzha. Such an amazing ambeiance with the cold breeze and can enjoy the beauty of the beach, yummy yummy pizzas and juices. Super friendly staffs and combo of good food and good music.Nice cafe with a selection of local and international dishes, cold (non alcoholic) and hot drinks. The cafe is open air so smoking is permitted whether people are eating or not, but that reflects more on the selfishness of the smokers than the cafe. It has an excellent sea view, ideal for watching and waiting for the dolphins, we saw them on our last morning.

Amazing location for this cafe. It is located right on the beach. It starts to get crowded towards the evenings. It is the only place that we could find that was open a little late and walking distance from the hostels and homestays near the beach. Food is decent but the milkshakes are good. Definitely recommend this place just for the view from the first floor seating. The seats are cushioned mats on the floors. It's a fun place to hangout a catch an amazing sunset.

I must say that the ambience provided by the cafe is topnotch. Food is good. For somebody who is looking forward to have a coffee time with a great view of the sea shore, this is a must go place. This place is a must visit place of Alleppey but I don't think they completely justify that. Don't get me wrong. The place is not bad but also not a must visit. Firstly the views. They are good and you get a direct sea view while enjoying your food. But the seating arrangement is such that if you don't get the right seat then the view could be blocked by the people in front of you or you might not get a direct view. The service is dead slow. Like slow to the pace of a snail. And this is when the place was not even 50% occupied. You will need to check the status of your order with the staff multiple times. And even to place a order, it might take some time. The good part is food. But it is not something extraordinary or out of the world. It is good and above average. The noodles we ordered were not that great. 3.5/5 to noodles. The fish dish was 3.5/5. And the drinks specially lemonana were good. 4/5 there. All in all it is a good place to visit but next time I am in Alleppey I'm surely going to try out other beach restaurants.

Had lunch there. The restaurant is on the second level. It is open and airy. With a beautiful view of the ocean. Food is quite good. I like that they weren’t in a hurry to usher us out.

One of Alappuzha's BestCafes. I go there frequently since the Food and Vibe are so perfect together, the setting is quite beautiful, and there is parking available. You've fallen in love with this place because of the sea view. The selection of cuisine and drinks is excellent, with a special emphasis on pastas, steaks, and appetisers. They also have a fantastic breakfast menu. All in all, it's a gorgeous cafe offering a distinctive dining experience with a tranquil setting, excellent cuisine, and a wonderful view of the sea.

It is a great location with a lot of potential to be a hip spot for the town of Alleppey. But even though the ambience is good in the cafe (live band post 7pm), the beachside is a bit disappointing due to lack of any development in what could otherwise have been an amazing experience. The service in the cafe is great especially with one certain Joseph who was serving with a smile throughout. The menu is a bit limited and the food took quite a while to arrive (understandable due to the pandemic).

Just have a cup of coffee, enjoy the ambience and take off. The food was terrible. I got really sick. Spoke to my cousin, he also had the same experience. But the ambience is lovely. Improve the food and what a place this is !!!

Really nice place to chill out when you are in Alleppey. The food was a mixed bag, the service was on the slower side, we didn't mind that. The butter garlic prawn was yum. But the red snapper we ordered was stale. I did complain but the guy who served us just smiled. It wasn't cleaned properly or I don't know what but it tasted stale and bitter. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. The boba drinks were fab. All in all, like I said a mixed bag of emotions when I left the place.

Had a terrible dine in experience here. First of all about the cleanliness. The sand on the benches and cushions can be justified because it right next to the beach. But that doesn't justify the sticky fly covered tables and food on the floor covered with ants. (Which I cleaned on my own because even after repeatedly asking them to do so, they didn't) Secondly the service is absolutely pathetic. Screwed up our orders, flung ketchup sachets at us and made us wait 45 mins to say that a simple drink like lime soda was not available on their menu. And to top it all, The dishes are overpriced for the quality and quantity they serve!

Ambience is the one of the best I've seen in town. What more than a crimson sunset we need, to uplift the evening mood while we hangout. Food from what we've tried is below average. We ordered a pizza but unfortunately it was undercooked. Lemonade was alright. Some more attention on food will surely make this as a benchmark spot in the town

One of the best places I have been to while i was traveling to kerela Alleppey. I stayed at zostel and it was literally a few steps away from there. The staff is so kind and helpful, they always bring a smile to my face whenever we went to the restaurant. It was literally our spot for the time i was here. It is a sea facing restaurant and you'll have an amazing time here. The food is good and the vibe is good the staff is good, and the music, literally everything is just pure delight. I definitely recommend this place.

The place has a really nice atmosphere, sitting at low tables, with no shoes and the breeze from the beach, which is right in front creates a good vibe. They have really good ginger lemon honey tea. I didn’t eat here, but prices are a bit high but they have both Indian and western cuisine if you prefer and also vegan alternatives.

Great view and vibe at this spot! The shakes were delicious, especially the peanut butter and coconut shake. The food was average - the prawn fries and sizzler were okay in taste, but the oil used wasn't the best and resulted in burned french fries with a bad taste. Best restaurant/chill out terrace in Allepey beach. The place is very smart decorated and the staff were friendly and professional. What I loved most was the chill atmosphere (whith the right volume and type of music), to enjoy a good meal looking at the sea. I saw dolphins almost every morning. The place overlooks the Alleppey beach, there are live musical performances by really gifted musicians who make you wish that they delay the food😅. The food is good, the music is good, staff helpful. A nice place to get your mind restarted afresh. Wish them all the best!

Cafe catamaran overlooks the sea in Alleppey and is situated right next to Zostel Alleppey. The first floor views are breathtaking at dusk with the sun setting at the horizon. We had ordered french fries, veg Hawaiian pizza, special non veg pizza with chicken and pepperoni, lemon juice watermelon juice and coffee. Food was average. Pizza crust were pre-made breads and not firewood thincrust which were a letdown. Beverages were good although we had to wait for 30 mins for a cup of coffee. Overall Food - 3/5 Ambience -4.5/5 Service - 3/5 Location - 4/5 Worth a visit when you are in Alleppey! :)

A good and hygienic international restaurant... expensive but worthy and tasty... One of the best view you can get here. Edit 1 : after 11 months visited this beach view restaurant but this time ownership taken by some other(not sure)- very few items not as like i visited before... But still the place is worth to visit.

The ambience of the cafe is just wonderful, but the cleanliness factor could be improved. Wonderful place to enjoy the beach and food with friends or even alone.

Awesome vibe

Open again post lockdown, catamaran has become my "go to" place in Alappey. Whilst im waiting for the full fledged menu to be up, currently the toasted cheese sandwich and the crispy chicken popcorns are my favourite. I think post lockdown, the place has become more family friendly than before, but personally for me this is where Id take my friends to or spend some alone time. Wonderful staff, always on their feet and very clean well kept space and aminities.

Beautiful place, Great view and ambiance but they don't have a soul for that. Very rude. Me and my friend came with two foreigner friends. They ordered breakfast and we asked the guy who served 'why don't you play some music' in a very friendly manner. Then he said 'order something good and then we can think about the music' (???) What kind of an attitude is that. I felt very uncomfortable. I would suggest the owners of this place to help that long haired guy with some manners... Please.

Great view. Decent service. Best of all: they have green smoothies. This makes me very happy. The red one is good too. They accommodated my request to not put yogurt in it and substituted with juice.

Great views & superb ambience..The cushions on the floor seating was quite unique & a welcome change..Food was very filling & portion sizes were more than satisfactory, we ended up packing the remainder of the Pizza & Club sandwich..We ordered a lemon mint cooler, Cold Coffee, Catamaran Special Pizza 7" & a chicken club sandwich for a total of Rs. 880..Service was quick & efficient..The only downside were the flies, which needed incessant swatting away..Wish they could find a solution to manage the flies, as we had to continuously keep waving our hand over the food to keep them at bay..Probably one of those UV type fly traps or so..Otherwise this is a great spot to enjoy the setting sun and sea breeze..

A beach side dine-in with a calming ambience. Ordered cold coffee, salted caramel and chicken pizza. Salted caramel and cold coffee were good. Pizza was oily and the fillings were not that tasty. Could have done better with the pizza part. On the whole a must try out place in Alappuzha. Rates are a bit on the higher side though.

Bilal's music choice is bonkers, really well curated. The spinach omelette is great and filling but the veg sizzler is not that good. Fantastic lemon nanas! Get some more fans because it can get hella hot on those leather mats! Nice spot and good staff. Keep up the nice place.

Beautiful ambience, good food but the staffs are not interested in allowing the guests to take their own time to finish and leave. They were kept on asking is it done, should i get you the bill. My husband had sore throat, there was hot honey ginger lemon listed on their menu, when asked for it.. a guy came in and told that we stopped serving anything that is hot and asked whether we need the bill.. basically they want us to go out as they have expat guests coming in. They were like, just go out once you are done with the meal, no sitting and talking encouraged it seems, especially from the waiter (the one with curly and short hair) Tourists visit these kind place to sit and talk.. these guys are definitely not good in keeping up their customers happy. Next day morning we went or breakfast around 9.30am , ordered for the same hot ginger lime honey and a coffee... we have been served happily. Overall happy about the ambience but not the service

The staff is friendly, the ambience nice (there's excellent sundown views), and the food is good. The only thing is that it's a little expensive. You pay extra for the views I guess. Anyway a very popular place and worth a visit.

Thumbs up for an amazing vibe with beach view at beach side. Their chicken mayo sandwich is a heaven made. Wanna have a different vibe from the local restaurants around the town then you should definitely head into this place.
