A must stop is the PEI Handpie Company! I have never tasted anything like it, I had the All Day Breakfast and it was absolutely amazing! They have a big selection of already warmed up pies to go and Frozen to bring home with you , Staff are extremely helpful and it's neet to see how they are made on site. everything is fresh and they are not shy with the fillings, great place to stop for a nice hot lunch!

Great lunch spot to get locally made handpies. The PEI pasty, cheese potato and onion, and cheeseburger were all yummy. We liked them so much we packed frozen handpies in a cooler for our flight home!

Just happened to pass by the store on my way back to the bridge and even though I’d never heard of them before I felt the need to stop. When I went in everyone was so nice and enthusiastic. It smelled wonderful. Warm savory and sweet pies were ready in the case. The maritime meat pie sounded interesting and this impulse buy turned out to be the best meal I had on the island. Similar to the Michigan pasties I’m familiar with but so much better.

Wow!! How did we not know about The Handpie Company before now?? We placed a large frozen order (60+) handpies and picked them up before leaving the island. We also got 4 strawberry Rhubarb pies to go and ate them in the car. We were all blown away by the decadent & fresh flavour, the flaky and tasty pastry and the perfect cook! Staff were very friendly & helpful and we felt like welcomed customers from the moment we walked in. This place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I was so excited to get our order that I totally forgot to take a photo of the sweet pie! You'll just have to go and see/taste for yourself. Update 8/28/2022: Today we tried the All Day Breakfast 🥞🍳 and it was AMAZING 😍 See added photos . Flaky & tatsy pastry, sausage, scrambled egg, cheese, maple baked beans.... Just so so delicious 🤤😋 9/3/2022 - Maritime Meat Pie 🥧 Move over Turkey Dinner - this Handpie will give Christmas Dinner a run for it's money! Just add some mashed potatoes, carrots and cranberry sauce and dinner is served!

We were on our way to the Anne of green gables house and saw the billboard and then the store, so we decided to stop. Smart decision!!! Stop here!!! We got their two most popular hand pies and a cherry hand pie. They were so incredibly yummy!!! Like really yummy!!! They look smaller, but packed a huge punch and kept us full through dinner!

Never had one before and I’m glad we stopped here for a quick snack. The cheeseburger pie was our favourite!! The chicken pot pie was good too.

We visit PEI every year but always pass by, but not this year! We were happy with what we had: PEI pasty and pie with potato/cheese/onions. Pies were full of fillings. Not very cheap (around 10 CAD for 1 pie).

The handpies here are DELICIOUS. They are fresh, flavourful, and filling. However they are quite expensive ($8 for frozen/$8.50 for take out) and the location is quite a hike out of Charlottetown. I’d like them to offer them out of the Charlottetown Farmer’s Market and have a deal for buying multiple frozen pies at once.

We've been driving past this place for several days and today we finally went in to try it. Yummy! We got the frozen pies and baked them at home. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. The lady at the counter was super nice and helpful. Highly recommended!

If you haven't tried these guys, you have to. These are beyond tasty, delectable, delish. Can throw them in the air fryer. They come out crispy in the oven as well. Stop in while driving by coming off the Confederation bridge grab one hot and take some frozen to go. Sweet and savory options AND you can order online and have them delivered. Do it!
