The room had bugs in it. The lady running the place denied my husband and I his service animal that detects seizures from injuries sustained in Iraq and I finally was able to pay her 25 dollars to let us stay and on top of it all she was beating on the door at 11 telling us we couldn’t stay there anymore because she thought we left our service animal in the room alone and there are several other reasons why we warn the readers of this review to take heed because this place is dirty and no hospitality by any means. Burn marks all over the comforter. Burn marks on the bath tub all along the edges, 2ft by 2ft holes behind the door that are duct taped that go into the room next door. Towels are so dingy and wore out they are turning black. Good luck to anyone staying in the future and I’m positive others that have already stayed can agree with this review

The room was $60 for 2 adults and one child got there around 10 pm. The A/C didn't work when we told the manager on duty looked at it said the compressor is working and left. About an hour later it still wasn't working told the manager again he came in took the front off the A/C gave us a small fan and left without putting the cover back on the A/C. At about 1 a.m it was about 90 degrees in the room. Went up front and requested our money back we were there about 4 hours and all we got was $20 the bathroom door was covered in graffiti and there was construction material all over the outside worst place I ever stayed

Wasn't the worst, but there's really no excuse for lack of cleanliness. The room I stayed in wasn't very clean at all, floor definitely wasn't mopped. I'm pretty sure my husband went through nineteen pairs of socks, and we only stayed one night. There were burn holes/marks EVERYWHERE and smelled like a smoking room..after being told it was non-smoking. Not much else to comment on. They need to clean A LOT better in between guests. I highly doubt I would stay there again.

Got a room at the Lion Inn last night..Only because All other motels in town were Full. My friend & I were Only in the room One hour & about 45 minutes..because BOTH Beds in the room were covered with BED BUGS..!! After literally Only being there just long enough for us each to take a shower, I went to the office at the motel, nobody was in there. I rang the bell, over & over again. Continuously knocked on the door & windows...still Nothing. I stood outside of the office for, at least, 45 min while knocking & ringing the bell...& Calling the motel office phone, but it just kept ringing & ringing. Never did get in contact with Anyone who worked there...Until about 8:00 this morning!!! The Manager absolutely REFUSED to give us any kind of Refund, even tho we were at the room for LESS Than 2 hours!!! It's really a Sad, Pathetic...& NASTY excuse for a motel!!! That place really NEEDS to be SHUT-DOWN!!!

This place horrible I stayed in room 112 and the floor had holes in it. The shower I almost fell a few times in it because the tub had a hole and it filled up and it was like you was standing on a water bed. If they was another hotel to stay in that night I would have and plus I was sooo dang tired and sleepy I just wanted to lay my head down. I would never stay there again.

I visited my son there and was not at impressed. Not clean and my grandchildren had bug bites from something in the room. I'm extremely disappointed in this place and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Nasty, rude workers/ owner, no help, checked in at 5am and paid 75.00 for room and still had to check out at 11am that day!! You would think I would get a whole nights worth I would never spend my money with them again

Why oh why did I check out of the Best Western next door to come here? I just thought saving some money would be worth it but this place should be no more than $19.95 a night. You know it's bad when you can see that the people next door to you actually live in the room and have set their front porch up like a south of the border casa. I lived in Thailand for 17 years and I can understand at a $4 a night backpacker hostel finding the same kind of thing in the third world country but not in the United States. I was too scared to take a shower because there was a big hole under the faucet looking into a dirty rust-filled cavern and I expected spiders and cockroaches to come crawling out. The Wi-Fi is almost non-existent and the non-smoking room I got smelled like this place has been sitting for 100 years with people smoking in it. The toilet seat was all beat up and there were rust marks on everything in the bathroom.

I hated this place the manager is nosy and always in your business and goes in your room without permission

I've stayed here before and didn't think it was too bad. Do wish they would have had WiFi to go with it though. But I do admit I have stayed in motels in other cities that were about the same quality but cheaper priced.

Super creepy, super sketchy, terrible maintenance. Everything you're not looking for in a motel. Paying more is definitely worth it I promise.

If you love bugs this is the place for you

This hotel needs major renovations, new carpets especially and they need to put amenities in the rooms, the parking lot is atrocious and full of potholes. The only redeeming quality is it's cheap.

First off I wanted to mention that they are under new management. My husband and I stayed the weekend for our anniversary. I personally am very pleased with the overall experience. The staff was very friendly, it was clean, and quiet. They are still renovating some rooms which I think is awesome as well! They are trying very hard to fix it up and fix the reputation of the place from the old management. Very homey as well, which I LOVED!! Thank you for an awesome experience, and wonerful weekend!!

Clean rooms

Was lied too when called to book a room. Drove to the Albermale, NC area and went to get a room after calling and confirming that 4 people could stay in the room with one small dog. Upon arriving at the Motel the operators told me that they did not allow more than 3 people in a double bed room. I went to another area motel and got a better rating room with better service. Therefore I am not recommending Lions Inn to any of my friends and family. For their service is terrible and they are all a bunch of liars. Have a nice day and God Bless
