Beautiful scenery and lovely experience! The waterfall hike is an absolute must to do. Experience is unlike any other, and the peace and tranquility of the beautiful reserve is unique. The horse riding is a great experience and the staff are all wonderful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to others and visit again!

Really great place to go and get some peace. Approximately 3 hour drive from Johannesburg. Well worth it. Lots of fun activities!.

A very relaxing off grid break. The place is beautiful and tranquil. We did not like the fact that there are no proper showers in the houses, having to clean bathtubs is definitely a turn off in this day and age. The other snag was lack of backup during load shedding. They need to get Solar and gas stoves as blackouts are part of our lives in SA now.

We visisted the Reserve from 9 to 12 Dexcember 2022. Stunning place! Lots of wildlife, nice fishing, birders paradise, tough but beautiful 4x4 route. (It rained a few days before our arrival.) Lots of things to do for the family such as horses and mountain biking. The place will see us again.

Very quite place, tucked away along the Kumati river, in a scenic valley. Many trout dams makes for verity fishing option along with fly fishing the river. This combined with several short and longer hikes, mountain biking and 4x4 trails, there is enough to keep you active. If this sounds like to much, you can see at least 25 bird species from your stoep and enjoy the wildlife coming down to river to drink. They sell good fire wood for braai outside or fire place inside for cozy nights. I was just disappointed to see all the invasive plants along to spread and litter along the roads, which distracts for the overall appeal.

Stayed for a week, September. Chalets and dams were well maintained. Dams were well stocked.

This is a beautiful place to just unwind. It's quiet, but there is still plenty to do. Fishing, walking, birding, game drives, horse riding. Also not a long drive from East Rand, Pretoria and Johannesburg.

When you really need quiet time to relax without loads of activities, stunning views, trout fishing ponds and a close by river this is a perfect hidden gem to visit. Take your MTB and trail running gear with, there are lots of trails to explore. Friendly staff, neat and luxurious accommodation. Had a great break from my cellphone and busy lifestyle.

We stayed in Unit 18 with only a twenty meter walk to two dams it was an absolute pleasure to fish while the family relaxed at the house enjoying the view and peace and quiet. The service was great and the fishing didn't disappoint. Between two of us we caught over 20 fish for the weekend and the sizes varied from 500g to 2kg. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff managing the resort contributing to us thoroughly enjoying our stay - booking again for October.

Beautiful scenery (even in winter). The managers of the reserve are extremely helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed my stay here and will most definitely be back !!!

Beautiful place for a getaway. The sleep there is so peaceful between 2 mountains. Highly recommended.

Very relaxing, not much to do for children with the exception of the pool and horseriding. Beautiful scenery.
