MAGGOTS IN CURRY!! We got Mutton nihari and paya from paradise and it’s sickening to find out that our curry has maggots and their eggs in them. I was so shocked because I have been a regular and loyal customer of this establishment for at-least two years now. But after this incident I don’t think I’ll ever go back to that place or recommend it to anyone.

(Disclaimer: Personal experiences and feelings may vary for each individual. This is purely a sharing.) 📍 Paradise Takeaway 🍛 Handi Chicken curry Deliciousness 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑 🏮 Review 🏮: Priced at $17.5, the portion is generous enough for three people. The slightly spicy flavor is appetizing, and the chicken pieces are plentiful, although a bit dry in texture. Rice is not included, so you can order Naans separately as the main dish. 🫓 Naans Deliciousness 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑 🏮 Review 🏮: Nothing much to say, three for $8 is very affordable, and they go perfectly with the curry! 🍗 Fried chicken Deliciousness 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑 🏮 Review 🏮: Only $6! It has a slightly spicy and flavorful seasoning that leaves you wanting more. The marinade is finger-licking good! 😋 Hygiene 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 Service Attitude 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 Will Visit Again 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗 Overall, it offers great value for money! Even those with small appetites can have leftovers for another meal. I work in an area with many Indian people, so I asked an Indian colleague if there are any good Indian restaurants in Auckland. He recommended this place to us. While I saw online that they have dine-in options, I couldn't find the seating area. However, it didn't affect the taste at all when I took the food to go! The grilled chicken leg was still delicious even after cooling down. The storefront is clean and tidy, and the staff are patient in explaining the menu. There's a wide selection of dishes, including various curries and desserts, and many people are queuing up! You should definitely give it a try!

Thats customer service of Paradise. Forced to place order online, than no option to pay on pickup(forced to pay $8 extra for no reason). Had to call more than 7 times just to request to change pickup time. Finally answered at 11:30, we asked if we can pickup food at 1(original time was 2PM) but she said not possible. Sent mate at specified time for pickup. CSR Handed over $15 chilli chicken after charging $65 dollar online and missed Kadai paneer. We said thats not right order. Than his answer was NO, THATS WHAT YOU ORDERED. ITS YOUR WHOLE ORDER. NOTHING MISSING. YOU ORDERED SMALL PACK. Made to wait another half an hour for correct order, even after placing order a day before. ended up ordering somewhere else in meantime, because guests arrived at right time, but food took ages. LESSON not going again, unless got nothing else to do in life

I ordered chicken lollipop and chicken dum biryani family pack yesterday for a family who doesn't eat mutton (beef, steak). As soon as they opened they found that there were mutton pieces in the biryani which was totally unacceptable. Tried to give them a call twice but no one even bothered to pick up. Definitely won't recommend to anyone.

Can't believe I have to talk about the Chicken Pasinday at Paradise… ugh. Oh wow I’m the holy grail of creamy almond texture look at me I’m a treasure hunt for your tummy. Just what we all needed… Another battle won by the overlords of Sandringham cuisine. Another feather flaunted in our faces with this incredible nutty curry.

I use to love paradise food but meal I bought today was just incredible. Chicken bones were coated with flour.there was no meat. I bought 150 dollars worth of food and it was all disgusting. This was my last time buying meal from here. The Naan I bought was so hard to chew. Lamb biryaani literally got 5 pieces of meat in it. No one ate the food it was just a waste of money

Had to give a 1 star rating because couldn't give a zero star rating. Worst chicken ever!! We have been shopping at Paradise for almost 6 years now and it is more evident that the quality of the food has been declining. We bought chicken Manchurian today and frustrated about the quality if the food. The chicken was super hard as if it has been heated multiple times. We ended up throwing the chicken as it was not consumable.

Service and ambience was very poor. I literally had a waitstaff yell at me saying they were too busy to serve me. The staff there were barely able to keep up with service let alone providing a good service. Being an Indian myself, the food was also disappointing. The only dish that I would recommend was the vegetable biryani.

I used enjoy paradise food 3,4 years. Today I visited them for my favorites Naan and a chicken curry. Once I reach home I realized that all three naans I got are barely consumable. I really disappointed how they care about customers. If at least one naan was edible i would not have put this review. But all three?? One more update to the review: Frankly staff has been very thoughtful with the butter chicken. And they have given me only 2,3 pieces of chicken and a container full of gravy, Adding more gravy make it a little easier to eat those ‘burnt butter naans’

We ordered veg Paneer make to order curry and we were advised 25 min wait time. After 45 min when inquiring at counter. I was advised they ran out of Veg biryani waited another 20 min. When traveled 20k wwnt home. Find out it was chicken instead of vegetarian curry when we sit on table. Call restaurant advised me they will call me back after 15 to 20 min. Than some other staff called and told me they will refund only wrong curry. But they didn't realize our whole experience was ruined. Not a professional staff. Will never recommend my colleagues and friends now. Thanks for encouraging me to try other restaurants now. *Next day on 10/4/23 - phone call came as they were supposed to issue voucher for wrong service and bad experience but after uploading honest review over the Google now Management was very unhappy and they trying to tell us that we should not have upload review. Now they can't issue voucher. I am sure this is not paradise original Management. Very unprofessional conversation 🙄. All the best to all vegetarian ppl if you buying please check your order before you get out from take away.

This places used to be a good takeaway and dine in for me but after a few orders in the past weeks we have realized that food is getting worse and seems like they reuse their food from unfinished meals like the chickens usually on the rice are hidden on the bottom and just bones no flesh and the price has gotten higher a HUGE amount and the food has seems to fallen even with the price up rate.the picture seems like we have eaten the chicken of the bone but we have not.and the biryani taste too old. And has the coloring is fake it seems like I tried to call them many times to do complaining about it but didn't answer no happy at all .

Last year I went to this restaurant very often. It was boasting itself for serving the best biryani in AKL and yes it was, also food was good, quality and price wise. However, it was a disappointing experience to us today. Food was slow, price has increased by at least $4 each dish, and the curry tasted like old oil. The only highlight was the naan. Not sure if imma come back. Just so disappointed.

Me and my wife come here a lot, and yesterday we ordered $90 worth of food. We found pieces of metal in our lollipop chicken. We came back to ask for a refund or another order free of charge. But the lady at the front got really angry and said no we could not get a refund or another order made. Our family come here often but this will be our last time coming here. Don’t waste your time and go elsewhere.

The food is GREAT. BUT!. The line is REDICULOUS!. There's 4 check outs 1 person serving customers. So There's ALOT of customers waiting at pickup. These pictures are only ONE line of 2. Online orders will still have to wait also.

. The lady who was adding chicken was talking to some other colleague and just laughing(which means it was not a serious talk) and I saw that she added less quantity in the bowl and didn’t fill it up properly. I mean I could’ve taken $14 or $15 smaller container if I needed less quantity. You have bigger bowl and you are charging $18 for that. Atleast fill it up properly.

We arrivwd at around 8 pm and the restaurant was jam packed. We were told a waiting time of 20 mins before a table could be allocated which is understandable in a busy restaurant. Placing order was easy and food arrived well before our expected wait time despite full tables. Food was outstanding and usual a hearty portion. Our favourite Lamb Kolhapuri and kids butter chicken was exceptional. Naan was also fluffy and yummy. Waiters accommodated us very well. We will come back again.

Been a customer for a long time. Quality is going down faster and the price is getting increased every time. Usually this is what happened to businesses when they establish well and being comfortable instead of being competitive. Totally understandable. Let’s See where you go.

Outrageous, ordered uber eats and tforgot half our order. Spent nearly eighty dollars ($80.00). Rang the customer service line and could barely hear the person speaking on the other end due to all of the noise in the background. Had to drive all the way down there to sort it out. I suspect they are understaffed and over ordered (photo attached) Got there and the cue was so big it basically meant that my order went cold trying to sort it out. The person in front of me also had a order problem. They refused a refund but gave me the other half of my order for the long ride back home. Avoid this organisation and their restaurant at all costs. Do not order uber eats here, their system obviously doesn't work.

It’s been a couple years since we’ve last had, deterred by bad reviews during COVID. After seeing the reviews pick up again and it being late, decided to order our old favourites, the lamb chops, Indian butter chicken, butter naan & mango lassi. Everything was really good, just as good as before. Warning, the lamb chops are fairly spicy - maybe like a Nandos hot as reference. Looking forward to returning to an old favourite.

Friends and I went here specifically to try the buffet. I'd heard about the buffet years ago but never had the chance to go and the one night I was able to go I find out it's been closed permanently so bit of a disappointment as I was looking forward to a buffet dinner. I didn't pay much attention to the exterior as it was raining and I just needed to get out of the rain. The restaurant interior was quite tired and could use a face lift. Not much of an ambience either. The à la carte menu was alright in terms of choice. Ordered the chilli baby corn (didn't know we could have it with pepper) and paneer tikka as starters. The baby corn starter was pretty terrible but the paneer tikka was much better in terms of taste and experience. If the aim is to achieve a "Kiwi twist" with the corn starter then mini corn fritters with Indian spices would be far better. Mutton biryani and the SPL masala chicken were ordered as mains. I preferred the mutton biryani. Staff were friendly.

We got some takeaways. This is one place we always go for biryani.Tried their indian hot butter chicken ($19) and butter naan this time.Naan had a tint of sweetness which I am not a big fan of.Overall we liked the food.

Great variety of tasty food and large portions. They do family packs at reasonable prices which work awesome for unexpected guests. They also have a fridge with food for people in need.. Kudos for giving back to the community in such a dignified way.

We love this place for Indian takeout. The family combo pack feeds my family of 4 for three days! Delicious food every time! The atmosphere is not the best and the customers can be quite rude but the food is above all that!
