After a long flight, I was happy to be offered a quiet, comfortable room in their new building at the back of the property. It was spotlessly clean, modern and had a small kitchenette with dinnerware, etc. I liked the fresh air coming in the windows. Breakfast was amazing, with healthy, fresh food, plus homemade cookies to go with their espresso. The owner is lovely. The location is great because it’s an easy walk to Newmarket, where visitors can find all kinds of shopping, banking, hair salons, lots of different cuisine, plus public transportation. If you don’t feel like walking, you can catch a bus across the street. No services or products were exchanged or offered for this review, as usual.

Absolutely stoked with the room, clean comfy and lovely.... receptionist should not be in hospitality I could have put a 5 star review if not for her, I have never been treated so rudely by anyone let alone a hospitality worker. We are going to a funeral of our brother times arent easy.... I tried smiling, have a nice day everything I asked should I wait in reception while they check our room to get bond back and she near on yelled at me to wait where ever the hell I want 😱 I'm in absolute shock !! Wont be going back even though we thought the room was lovely

We stayed for a week in a great room with all our needs taken care of. Our room was serviced well and the reception stall were great we had a few visitors as live in Nelson they were very accommodating staff.plenty of parking and room for the motorbikes that were ridden up. Will definitely book again thank you Best Western Epsom.

Wow ! BW staff put us in the new building. Much more comfortable and stylish. Feel like stay in the apartment. Full facilities for the rest. Super convenient to Newmarket and train/bus station. Plenty of parking spot under the building.

We booked online was all fine, when we got there to sort out room. The staff in the office first off was saying no I don't have a room she couldn't find my details. Took us 45 min in total just to get keys to room, when we gave them our card details over phone when we booked room. The room was OK, tho so many things didn't work in our room! like the spa bath and I had to clean the bath of black hairs. Not just a few. Banging doors all night, Kids running up and down stairs at 11pm at night. Was told this place had no winz clients, they lied there definitely was. All in all never will go back here

Need to take the pool pictures off the website- as the whole place is under construction and the pool is no longer- had a lot of issues with rooms stinking like smoke and could not stay in them. The showers leaked and were very old- bathtub plugs do not work- had a lot of issues with hot water and staff coming into our room 4 times in one night very late. Okay stay, but should not be a 4 star motel

The photos do not show a true reflection of this hotel. There is NO pool despite the photos on the internet and even in the book in the room it has information about the pool (that I repeat does not exist) The room was ok, could hear everything through the walls tho. The best thing was the water pressure in the shower.

We (large group consisting of over 20) booked here because it LOOKED clean and tidy. Another was the POOL??!! One of our rooms smelt like an 80s pub that hadn't been aired since the 80s. Smelt so bad of smoke. We removed ourselves from the room and demanded another. Not before we were offered a candle to mask the smell!!! But we did get another room in the end thankfully. The tiled walk ways are a death trap and a ACC Claim waiting to happen. One room smelt of damp. Then another couple of rooms lost hot water, showers leaked and a bath tub plug didn't work. Then the NO POOL!!!! I REPEAT NO POOL. There is NO POOL!!! They did however allow us to use the conference room as our common. Walls paper thin. The best bit about this was the company we bought along for this terrible experience. We aint coming back!

Didnt spot the Swimming Pool. This motel is handy to Newmarket. A bit tired looking in its decor. Staff a mixture of friendly and not.

I stayed here a while ago and it was fine (although they didn't have breakfast even though I paid for it) so thought I would come back. Again no breakfast even though I paid for it, room smelt damp when I arrived, then a night of listening to my neighbours late night telephone conversations and late night TV viewing till about 4am! When I went to call reception at 2am there is a sticker on the phone to say reception shuts at 9pm. Not good!

Travelled for work, lovely clean room, quiet large and safe. Free wifi and reception lady was friendly and welcoming after a long day. The shower was amazing. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Customer service is absolutely revolting. Being pre-judged on the colour of someones skin and someone elses wrong doing is gross. We are in 2021 and its sad there is still racist tendencies of people when we are PAYING our way like everyone else. Disgusted to see these narrow minded people are the first face when you walk in the doors of this establishment. Seen some great reviews pity i couldnt do the same. Would discourage anyone staying here. Go learn some manners and respect.

I'm happy to change my review when they remove the photos of a swimming pool from google's Business Profile Manager. I showed them how to remove it on my computer and they still have not done it. They said the pool has been gone for many years but they still haven't managed to correct this.

We stayed here for 3 nights, great size for a family. Rooms are dated and it is very noisy. The last night we could hear the people in the room next door snoring, we gave a couple of smacks on the wall so they would hopefully realise, we got a smack back. At around midnight I called reception to ask for some assistance, they said they would call them, there was no communication at all and the snoring continued all night long. I have been to reception as I was leaving and they didn't want to acknowledge my issue. If it wasn't for the lack of customer service I would of probably stayed here again.

No signage or notification over phone about needing a vaccine passport. A friend booked, and turned up with 2 very tired children and was told they couldn't stay. After complaining about lack of notification she was told she could stay. She went to her room, then the police turned up after the owner had called them on her. She was then left out on the street with her children.

Clean and tidy. Shower awesome. Aircon great. Good parking very central and reasonably priced. Cleaner very helpful but a lack of communication from reception.

Good location near to CBD (15 mins drive). Tidy rooms & comfy bed. Has some outside work being done, so lhas limited car parking at the mo.

I stayed in the older room. Arrived in late evening, and all windows in my appt were open - pretty cold inside! I jumped in the hot shower - good pressure! And put heat pump on - old noisy unit but heat up the room and I could turn it off - would be difficult sleeping with that on! Bed was comfortable. Place clean. Just a bit basic and dated.

The air ventilation system in this hotel makes me feel fresh all night long. The large comfortable mattress allows me to relax and fall asleep easily.The pillows are the fluffiest I have ever seen.

Excellent location, proximity to One Tree Hill, ASB Showgrounds, Newmarket shopping mall. Superb team and service, the owner was very nice and responds promptly. Her team of staff have been super helpful in arranging and setting up baby cot for my son. Amy and her wonderful team have made my staycation a pleasantly experience. Would highly recommend!

Me and my sister stayed here for the first time and we loved it. Bed are comfortable and rooms are so clean. Love the location and the rooms are huge and I enjoyed my stayed here . Definitely coming again

We stayed in room 51, the first thing I noticed was chocolate marks all over the curtains to the ranch slider. It was noticeable. the oven wasn't clean it started smoking out the room when we turned it on. The parking isn't convenient when the motel is fully booked. We had to walk from the back all the way to the front with small children. Other than that we had a good stay!!

I stayed for the first time here last week. I stayed in both the older side and the new building. Older side was clean and tidy, appears to be starting to get decorated on the inside. New building was lovely, rooms are nicely decorated, very quiet and super clean. Location was good, staff were friendly and helpful.

I stayed there last week for 3 nights for the first time in a while. I had one of the brand new rooms. Clean, spacious and the double/triple glazing kept out all the street noise. I had friends staying in one of the older rooms and they said they were great too. Perfect location for business I needed to conduct. Staff were friendly but had little interaction with them after checking in. Definitely recommend this place.

I recently had the opportunity to stay in one room in the newly constructed 3-storey building of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the modern and inviting atmosphere. The location is 10 minutes drive to the city centre. Quiet, safe and accessible.

Very good location, close to CBD. Can get any daily necessities in 5 mins. Also has parking lot with decent fee. The style and deco are a bit old fashioned, but are kept pretty clean and tidy. The customer services are actively responsive. Overall, this hotel has good cost performance. Very recommend.

Pleasantly surprised! The rooms were clean and comfy, great price and 20 minutes from the Sky tower.

This place is under construction, including work being done on weekends. I would not book here again while construction is underway. The rooms are very clean & the staff are generally very friendly and helpful. Rating based on construction starting very early in the morning and no mention of work in progress at time of booking.

Fridge in room was a tiny mini bar fridge and we booked for 22 nights so it was virtually impossible to stick the fridge for this length of time. Construction right outside of our apartment, drilling and banging all day. Worst hotel experience ever !!!

The location was fantastic, but the kitchen was a bit icky and the room smelt like cigarette. But why do I give it 5 stars??? THE BEDS WERE BEYOND AMAZING. I am very fussy with beds, and I'd be back here in an instant purely because it guarantees a wonderful sleep

At 1st we had issues with the shower pressure but after telling staff they replaced the shower head the next day. Works perfect now. They had trouble with some neighboring guests who kept me awake and caused damage to the motel. Only thing I could suggest is a night number for guests to call.

Construction currently ongoing here. It's a bit of a mess right now and a bit noisy in the morning. The shower head was broken (but still worked). It's a bit depressing. I would not go here again at least until the construction (renovation?) is finished.

Basic but reasonably comfortable. They should put a sink in the kitchen. Doing dishes in a bathroom by the toilet is not hygenic. Even a dishdrawer in the kitchen would be better. Shower cubicle has a platform extending from the cubilce next to the bathroom door which is a trip hazard going in. That is a health and safety issue which should be addressed. Staff member on the desk was ok. She did help with my bag up the stairs. Note: there are stairs with no elevator or ramp access so if you have mobility issues ask for a groubd floor room. My arm was in a sling post surgery so it could have been a big issue if she hadn't helped.

Best Western is an excellent place to stay. The room we stayed in was clean tidy, and the bed we had was super comfy. It was situated close to the new market Westfield mall and other shops, and a 5 min drive to ascot hospital green lane,I totally recommend this place.

Amazing property lovely staff very friendly & helpful. Beautiful comfortable property. Travel for work lots & must say one of the best properties I’ve come across. Stayed last night & was so happy with it drove back late to stay again. Will definitely be back

The upstairs shower water was leaking to our toilet, facilities missing, it's cheap because it's location but should not be the services in my opinion.

Room was a good size and very clean and comfortable,staff were nice. Restaurant was closed for refurbishment so had to order in but no biggie, one problem is the windows do not block much sound and as its on a busy road you will hear traffic driving past all night, would suggest checking the window seals, second issue was air con short cycling, third issue was no sky TV so if the rooms don't have it just don't advertise that they do. Overall good stay but couple of things could be improved.

I was in an older room. It was pretty average. I was expecting a king size bed as was advertised, not just two singles pushed together (which is much less comfortable). The ‘kitchenette’ did not include a kitchen sink or a stove-top. It would have been nice to have a bedside table on both sides of the bed. Apart from that, the location is convenient and the staff are helpful. I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Location nice and central. Rooms are tired, need refurbishment & updating. As for the receptoon staff, a smile, a welcome, a modicum of acknowledgment is a much needed investment instead of ID and credit card. Will not stay again.
