This place was a real surprise. Fantastic audio guide. Amazing art work. When we went about an hour before it closed it was so quiet there was only a handful of people which is great. It’s so much nicer to appreciate these ancient places without the hordes of tourists. It’s well worth a visit.

We organized an event in the Monasterio and it was a very good choice. The Monasterio is simply amazing. You would not expect such an excellent handmade craftwork when you get in. Plus, the fact that you can organize a private event there is simply astonishing. I would recommend anyone both to visit the Monasterio and to organize an event if they want to.

Although a bit faraway from the city centre, it is worth coming here. The interior is very beautiful especially the chapel. There isnt a lot of tourists compared to the other sights so u can spend a lot of time there. Would be better if we are allowed access up to the second floor to take pictures of the orangerie.

Incredibly beautiful place plus photos allowed! The free phone audioguide (via an app downloaded by the front desk via the free Wifi) is incredibly detailed and helpful to understand the history and sites. I bought a ticket under the multipass option: this, the cathedral and Capilla, and one more monastery, for €17.

It’s a bit out of the way but it’s one of the places you can get a ticket combo to visit. Good audio guide.

A bit distant from the town centre, but definitely worth the visit, especially as it is very quiet and nice to enjoy. The church is loaded with details to see. The sacristy is very beautiful, and considered by the monastery the most beautiful in the world; which is hard to challenge: the use of light and art and architecture makes you feel peace and wonder around every corner. In my opinion this place is a must visit while in Granada.

Absolutely beautiful interior, which you wouldn’t expect from seeing the exterior. There is free parking outside the monastery. Tickets are €5, and it’s absolutely worth it.

Surprisingly beautiful and quiet place away from busy Alhambra. Very calm from the outside but inside boasts with rich interior that leaves you standing and looking up with your mouth open. Extremely well kept and restored.

One of the most beautiful monasteries I have ever seen. Behind the relative simple outside wall you find a world of luxery. Fine art, detailed building work. Stone, wood, all materials are nicely decorated and done. Surprising how inside is a complete different world than outside Almost impossible to find all the aspect of the stories to be told. Clear audio guide with historical details. One of the most beautiful places I have seen in Granada. Definitely worth enterance fee and time. Wonderful collection of paintings.

A jewel of extreme baroque. The exterior is quite austere, but the decoration of the interior chapels is absolutely spectacular. Recommended not to miss it.

This monastery is really impressive. It is not far from the city centre, and you can easily get there by bus, which takes less than 15 minutes. For me, it is one of the most beautiful monasteries I have seen. There is a lot to see and take in. The audio guide they provide is great, giving you lots of interesting information. And honestly, the photos speak for themselves. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Granada.

Very beautiful place to visit. Please note the opening hours, especially on weekends. Buildings are full of beautiful decorations and the sacristy is the most beautiful I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Go see that!

Definitely visit... I was in the Cartuja for the second time in a year. Most visitors enter the magnificently designed church and its “most beautiful sacristy in the world” with their mouths open. Who would expect any splendor behind the simple façade? The paintings in various rooms bear witness to the persecution of monks throughout history.

It was worth a visit and the price was fair. It is far from the city center, but there is a direct bus connection. I would not put it on top of my to-do list, but a nice one if you have free time that you want to fill.

A totally forgotten place in Granada. It's a very interesting place that people should visit right away. You can enjoy murals, architecture and paintings. A bit religious, but also historical. It's a pitty they don't have more services there. It's only a museum and there is a small souvenir shop. The owner (maybe the church???) should take over and update it a bit.

This monastery is located a little ways away from the main attractions of Granada but it's worth a visit if you have an extra hour or two. The entry was 5 euro and you are able to walk around the entire first floor of the monastery. It's interesting to walk around the grounds and see the many morose paintings, but the real gem is the sacristy (the sacristy is the place where church members get ready before a service). It's decorated like no other in the world. The colors and intricate carvings in the columns are truly incredible!

A must see place. I was not expecting much of yet another monastery and I was definitely blown away by this one. It’s architecture is just wonderful! Not to be missed!

Impressive monastery, definitely worth a visit. It takes about 30-40 mins to tour it all but the church is just too pretty to miss, really beautiful ceilings and sculptures everywhere making it more interesting than most churches.

Beautiful monastery with a very good audio tour explaining about the building, the Carthusian way of living and the art. The chapel is also stunning and full of details. The contrast between the area's for the monks and the chapel is fascinating. Just a little outside the city center. Easy to walk to or to take the Granada tour train

Astonishing Renaissance arts within a relatively unassuming building. A gem.

Don't miss out on it. If possible not in summer, there are huge groups visiting the monastery.

This feels like another hidden gem. It's a but out of town so you need to catch the number 8 bus, only 12 minutes though. The return bus stop is a bit misleading, use the one to the left of the entrance on the hill. Inside you find a wealth of beauty and artwork. A good historical narration is included so prepare to be educated. Much quieter than town, nowhere to buy drinks si bring some water. A relaxing and peaceful but piece of history. Hope you enjoy it.

It is very beautiful ornate inside. I was pleasantly surprised and highly recommend the visit. There is free parking available in front.

Worth every penny of the admission price. Stunning paintings showing man's inhumanity to others. A quiet place for contemplation even for people with no religious following. Highly Recommended.

One of the most stunning baroque churches I have ever visited! Must see in Granada. I liked the interior so much. Bus stop directly in front of the monastery. I recommend the combined ticket with other monuments and places in Granada. (Visited Aug 22)

Bonkers place. 2nd time I've been and would go again. Just an incredible experience. Don't want to say too much to ruin the WOW factor. But there is one so go and see for yourself 😊👌🏻

This monastery is the best place ever. We came out and were lost for words at the detail seen on the ceilings and walls. No cathedral could ever match it. Absolutely breathtaking.

They say this church has got the most beautiful sacristy in the world and it 100% does. Beautiful, secluded monastery with some absolutely stunning sculptures, paintings and furniture. Definitely worth its price and definitely a place to visit if you are in Granada!

Well this visit was awesome. The architecture was outstanding this has got to be one of the best tourist places to visit. To appreciate the work put into it's construction and layout it has to be one of a kind. Brilliant.

The monastery itself is absolutely beautiful. The paintings are stunning, and the courtyard is beautifully designed. The staff isn't the friendliest though, especially if you don't speak Spanish
