The first beach seen from the vantage point and walking further, we have almost a 2-kilometer stretch of beaches, all right next to the promenade and the heart of the city. It is worth spending time on the beach, but you must also take a walk along the sidewalk above and admire the views of the area.

A massive and absolutely beautiful beach in Albufeira! My husband and I stayed within a 5-minute walk to this beach for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. Easily accessible by free elevator or walkable stairs, we spent most afternoons soaking up the sun and cooling off in the ocean. A picturesque location with rocky cliffs on one end and sweeping vistas of the cliff-side buildings of Albufeira. There is ample space to set up a beach blanket and never felt crowded with other visitors. The lifeguard staff is attentive to changing water conditions, as it got quite wavy during our visits. The water gets deep quite quickly, so having swimming experience is a plus here. The ocean was still a bit chilly during the first week of June, but was a refreshing cool-off from the heat and water temperature was easy to adapt to. Highly recommend visiting this beach!

Nice place for drinks and having fun. However, the couches/benches (x2) with an umbrella would cost around 21 euros. That’s a bit too much, from my perspective, but the overall experience was good.

Beautiful wide beach. I love it in the winter as it's quiet and not crowded at all. Perfect place where to walk the dogs. In Summer I would probably don't like it as much

Lovely beach. Lots of people on a weekend. Hard to get sunloung and umbrella if you don't come early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Close by the restrourants and right next to old town. All the shops on the corner. Live music playing usually at the entrence from old town. Beach itself sandy, a bit bumpy going into a sea. Can get really wavy. Lost my sunglasses and seen people loosing more then that too 😁 as cought by surprise by big wave. Be careful. Water clear however as per big waves it was a lot of sea weed.

Great beach, efficient service. 2 sunbeds and an umbrella would set you back 15 euro. What makes this beach special is the lifeguards. Even in relatively stormy weather they never had a red flag on. We stayed in Can Picafort in Mallorca last year and most of our stay the flag was read. We had to go to a nearby unmanned beach for a dip. And the waves weren't even that dangerous. Here though the guys were happy to do their job instead of take it easy and just put up a red flag. A special thank you to the lifeguard whose name I sadly don't know who gave me first aid when I stepped on the weaver fish. The lifeguards noticed something wasn't right with my foot as soon as I got out of the sea and took great care of me. Oh and the sea here is really beautiful. Before choosing Albufeira I kept reading that the sea is going to be really cold in early July but it was amazing

very nice family beach with easy access, small waves, warmer water, but it lacks the gorgeous views and rock formations of the other beaches nearby

Really nice town. The beach is just steps from the town centre. There are many restaurants and bars. The restaurants along the beach tend to be a bit overpriced for the quality, but that’s to be expected in the more tourist heavy parts of any town. The beach is nice. There are many other (nicer) beaches just a short drive from the town.

Lovely beach with easy access points. Mostly calm waters with low lying water for a fair distance, very good to take the kids to.

Nice tunnel, good beach entrance but if youre on top of it in the small streets you may overlook it at first.

ein wirklich wunderschöner Strand, auch am Wochenende findet man leicht Platz um sich zu Sonnen. das Highlight war sicher die weiße Treppe und die Aussicht von der Oberstadt über den Strand.

Quite a large beach therefore there’s always some nice space to sit. Always a bit busy. There’s an elevator to get you there or quite some stairs to take (either by the elevator or more picturesque closer to the downtown). There’s a restaurant (cider is my usual takeaway ) with a publicly available toilet. You can rent some water cars etc too.

Beach is on good location, next to the City center and landscape behind the beach is amazing. Since it is in City center it is really crowded and sea is not so clean.

Long, sand/crushed shell beach. Water nice and clear. There was a bit of litter blowing around though

Very nice beach and there is a lift you can take to the upper streets. I'm always disappointed at how backward Portugal is in not providing a small doggie beach on any of their beaches, especially given so many people have pets they want to take on holiday with them.

Good for drinks and small bites. Fairly dense with people without being too crowded. Waters are calm with almost no waves, so one can swim or kayak. Fairly easily accessible from center via a tunnel or the elevator.
