While I appreciate the care overall, the wait time was awful. I was very much distressed during my visit because I had a very painful, time sensitive issue I felt was very easy to resolve, but I was in the waiting room forever. Logically, it is understandable they needed to have me fill out at least SOME paperwork first, but I believe some of it could have been done later with no consequence after my identity and insurance was collected. The people were kind and seemed genuinely sympathetic, however. They resolved my issue and sent me home with many materials, and were helpful during my visit. Multiple people were in the room while treating me, and I believe one person was a med student. One small quip is that no one introduced themselves to me; I would have preferred a quick "Hello, I am {name} and I will be one of your nurses today," while they gathered materials, but I appreciate the fact that they were treating the situation with urgency and may have forgotten. Overall, the vibe of the place was kind, but too casual for my preference. The 3 star review is entirely because of the wait time. I put extra information in for anyone who has a less time-sensitive matter and wishes to know what the environment is like, but I could not afford to be picky even if it is not the flavor of professionalism I expected. I am very thankful they treated me, but the wait time needs to be improved for more serious emergencies. Edit: I am irritated by my reply. I wrote a nuanced review and complimented this business to the best of my ability, but I will not lie about the quality of my service. The ER or another urgent care would be better than this one, especially considering how they treat customers who have any complaints. It is incredibly rude to be a keyboard warrior on your business reviews, and makes the clinic seem much more unprofessional than I initially thought.

My visits to Rio Grande Urgent Care are essential to myself, my family and friends and neighbors. I've scheduled to be seen as a regular patient and dropped in as an urgent care patient. I love that they are located in the neighborhood and we can be seen quickly, no hours of waiting. Staff are friendly and helpful and assuring. It often takes less time than a scheduled doctor's visit. We are just down the road and when my husband fell and his broke ribs, it was a no brainer. We were able to get x rays, a wrap and the medications he needed the rest was recovery. Rio Grande Urgent Care has become our first choice for family emergency care and a great option as primary care. It's the place to go when you don't require a hospital. I recommend their health care services and feel good knowing they're right around the corner.

The staff is kind and the in person service overall is adequate. The billing was absolutely terrible in my case. I have never once saw the doctor in person however I was charged for visiting that doctor specifically. I called to ask how to use the medication and was charged for seeing the doctor even though this should have been properly explained and demonstrated at the time of my visit. I’d recommend going to a more upstanding and a transparent office for any actual medical needs.

I went to Rio Grande Urgent care yesterday. The nurse that took my vitals was just wonderful. She was so very kind and being sick I really did appreciate it very much. I'm very sorry I don't remember her name but I hope she is found and thanked. The medicine I was given had the perfect effect because I am feeling so much better today and am back to feeling merry about Christmas. Thank you everyone so much!! I have been to Rio Grande a few times and have always found everyone extremely kind. I was seen quickly and the doctors were great.

Beyond impressed with the professionalism , care and compassion I have received and continue to receive at each visit. Rio Grande urgent care will initially see you as well as Establish your care. The entire team is dedicated to your healthcare. Patient flow and communication between the team members is amazing. From the moment you check in and are greeted by the front desk team to being roomed and Triage to being cared for by a provider, you’re listening to you are taken care of and there’s a great follow-through for your care. Hands down the best urgent care in ABQ. I have never been treated by a kinder group of people. I went in to get a B-12 shot (which I recommend everybody get one if you like feeling good). I was in and out in no time. It's also the only place in town I have found that caters to bodybuilders and people that need to lose weight.

Established my primary care here, was taken care of and got everything I needed after months of looking for help elsewhere for my asthma. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the providers are great at listening to their patients needs and helping them get the care they deserve. Also thier whole team is super fast and efficient so no need to wait 3-6 months to see your primary, or long waits to be seen at the urgent care. 10 out of 10 ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I was in a lot of pain because I had pulled out my back. Even with my attitude from pain the receptionist stayed positive and remained helpful! They worked with me and were able to see me in an efficient amount of time! Great doctors and good staff!

The Staff and providers at Rio Grand urgent care are the best. Even when they are super busy, they really try to see everyone in a timely manner. Such an ill-organized and unprofessional office. I’ve called 4 times to remind them to send over a referral to a specialist. On Mon 12/18 I called AGAIN to ask if they had faxed over the referral, the receptionist said she would do it immediately. Today, 12/20 Wed, I called the specialist and guess what! They still haven’t faxed it. Incompetent Disorganized Unprofessional

Rio Grande was great!! The Dr. I had listened to me...had pneumonia. She gave me medicine right away, loaned me an oxygen tank till I could get one the next day. Had all my scripts ready in a few minutes. I went back for check up, agreed I needed more antibiotics and wrote my script right away! Will go back any time I'm sick!! My husband has also been there and also had great treatment. I absolutely loved the experience and the staff was awesome.

Everything about our experience at this clinic was terrible. During the height of covid the two young men at the front window were not wearing masks and were eating together. We signed in and briefly explained our situation and they told us to wait in the lobby. We waited for half an hour and then were taken to the back rooms which are dark, dismal, and kind of grimey. Despite the front desk staff telling us to wait, the back staff told us that there was no treatment they could do and that we had to go to urgent care at the hospital. Then, even though they had only seen us for literally 3 minutes, they sent us a bill for hundreds of dollars. When I called them to explain that we didn't think that was an accurate charge because we were never actually treated, they were very rude and dismissive. They said they would talk to an office manager and get back to us but they never did. They just kept sending bills. And by the way, we did go to the hospital and they told us that the wound could have easily been treated at any medical clinic. I don't ever recommend this place, nor will ever use it for our family again.

Best urgent care. Hardly anybody in the waiting room so there's no wait and you're seen right away. The staff is nice and the PA and the nurse are nice. I've enjoyed my experience the times I've had to go I have nothing bad to say. I'd recommend this place if you want in and out urgent Care with no wait time.

Always friendly and professional when we go to urgent care, we’re usually in and out within 30 min or so!! That’s so unusual now a days! Our 1st appointment to meet Becky our new PPC was a good an experience. She asked us lots of questions and asked us if we had any questions for her! I’m glad we found this little gem!! I was in waiting room when this person came in. It is pretty cut and dry and is posted on front counter that you need a physical copy of ID and insurance card. The front girl even said they are a private facility and requires this. She offered self pay and for some it may be too much. I don't understand why people get so angry and slam doors when they leave. They are amazing and saw me in minutes. I would highly recommend.

Becky and her staff are compassionate, respectful, and knowledgeable. I have been here many times over the years, and I am always seen quickly and treated appropriately. Any time I had a question about a bill, it was completely resolved or clarified when I called them or their billing department. I had to visit twice within a month this year to treat a recurring cold or series of colds. (I will know when my nasal swab tests get back). If you need your ears cleaned of wax, this is the place to go. Other clinics injured my ears, Rio Grande Urgent Care never has, and gets the job done. They have a safe location with a generous private parking lot.
