High hopes of a great cut for our dog is down the drain. The groomer asked specific questions about what I wanted done since it was my dog's first time there. She (Let's just call her Y) didn't seem to understand the measurements that my dog received at another groomer (1 Inch and 5/8 inch), I asked for no scent, do not trim her feet all of the way, leave her body, beard and head a little longer and to not trim her ears. So when I picked her up, the ONLY instruction that Y followed was not trimming her ears. She was packed full of scent, which I am very allergic, Y cut all of her beard off, her head is trimmed almost next to her skull, her feet are groomed like a poodle, and her body is almost shaved. $75 for a 10 pound dog that didn't even receive a cut like was asked for. $75!! I wanted VERY much to take my dog back to J & R because the staff when I first walked into the store part were SO friendly and helpful. J & R would have been our go to place for toys, food, grooming etc... I just can't spend this kind of money, did I mention $75 for a very very bad grooming experience. I added before and after pics. She usually gets a shorter version of the before pic. Good news is that she will grow out.

Always easy going, the DIY dog wash is very accommodating and at a fair price. If you don't feel like washing your dog, they have in house groomers as well. Either way, Jack and Rascals got your back.

First time ever getting our Rat Terriers groomed. They did a great job! One of them whom is normally very “cat in water” when I bath her, did amazing and was more at ease after the services. Highly recommend dog grooming at Jack & Rascals!

We did the self wash option and it was awesome! $15 and we were set. Included different types of shampoos and conditioners, as well as brushes and a blow dryer! 10/10 would definitely recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! Seriously, they are the BEST groomers in town. We’ve tried a few other groomers in the area and none of them can hold a candle to Jack and Rascals. We took our Husky/German shepherd mix to them for the full treatment, and not only did she come back oh so fresh and so clean (smelling amazing too btw), but we had an all-around great experience. The staff is very sweet and professional and were super patient with our nervous pup. They made her feel comfortable right away which I really appreciated. She is also a serious shedder, and they took the time to thoroughly brush her out and did an AMAZING job de-shedding. I mean, it was a night and day difference between before we took her in to the day of/after. Thank you so much. We will be back again and again and again! 😊

Took our dog there for the 1st time & will NEVER go back. She is a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix. We asked she be cut "short" underneath & they SHAVED her body entirely & left other parts long....looks like she got a bowl cut!!! Not only have we been shocked by the cut, but so has the dog! She's moped around for days since. The owner offered to make it right by fixing it but we refused because so upset, we chose not to. They did give full refund but we will NEVER go back & I don't recommend unless you want your dog shaved!

This is not about grooming but about the treatment of cats placed there for adoption. They day we looked there were 2 cats in the back in small cages, both clearly terrified by loud constant barking and lots of dogs coming through. Both cats were hiding and had tiny ( and I do mean tiny) litter boxes although both were larger adult cats. The cashier said the cats had been like that for the days they had been there and were not eating. Cat rescues, what are you thinking?? EDIT after their response A cat box that is 12x 16 for a cat that's 12-14 inches in length is too small. You did not address the exceptional fear these cats undergo with so many dogs surging and barking around them . Cats that are traumatized over many days don't eat. I appreciate you are trying to help but you need to put my thought into not further traumatizing cats who already have the difficulty of being in a shelter.

The most wonderful people EVER. I came by today right before they closed, desperate to get a puppy I bought on the side of the road scanned for a microchip. The staff here helped me to find treatment for the puppy for her terrible ticks, and got me the right shampoo for her, and even gave her a treat and a water bowl. I am so grateful to them for their kindness to me and to my new puppy on a hard day for her.

This was the first time my dog has ever gotten her nails trimmed and I was beyond scared. She’s a very timid dog so I had some concerns. Jovonne was very caring and worked with her. He brought the clippers out to us in the waiting area and I held her as he clipped her nails. This was the best experience I could have asked for!

We have been going to J&R for almost three years. We have a Goldendoodle and I am not great at keeping up with her hair. We try to get her groomed every 2 months, but sometimes it's just not possible. Michele takes such good care of our doggo and does such a wonderful job! I know it's not easy, but we greatly appreciate her! Also, the staff has always been incredibly helpful and helped us when we have questions, especially when our dog was a puppy and for my parent's senior dog.

Prices went up but after reading reviews about other grooming places maybe you get what you pay for. Paid 70. For small dog. They do really great job.

I am dog sitting a 10 year old friend's "puppy" and made the mistake of walking to the Cottonwood Mall dog park. The dog park was fine, but along the way, he picked up a few goathead stickers in his feet fur. When he stopped walking, I thought he was tired, but then I checked and felt a sticker. While I was able to get enough stickers out, so he would walk home, I couldn't get all and don't have safety scissors, so I was afraid I would cut him if he jerked away. I checked Nextdoor for groomers and found Jack & Rascal's. It was after hours, so I emailed for advice. Samantha responded within minutes and recommended I bring him in 2-4PM. I took her up on her offer and just returned. I was greeted immediately and a very nice employee took him straight to the grooming room, found the sticker I couldn't remove, removed it and trimmed fur and nails, to hopefully mitigate risk of repeat stickers. I was very impressed with the immediate service and attention for a first time visitor.

You can tell that they care deeply about the quality of the food, toys, and other accessories that go into our pets. Also, the reward program for bags of dry food is very impressive!

This is my one stop shop when I come into town for the holidays. They have everything that my pup needs and then some. I recently found out that they have a "self-bath", which allows you to give your pup a bath using their facilities which was a godsend. My pup loves to run in the mud when I come to visit so a self bath was a great option for us. They provide the bathtub, water, shampoo, conditioner, brushes and towels for your doggie and you bathe them. It's also reasonably priced between ~$10-$20 depending on the size of the doggo. 1000% would recommend. They are as loving to my pup as I would be.

First time bathing appointment! Crystal was pleasant, caring and did a great job on my dog. She was so clean and soft! Nice store and quality products. Yes willl visit again!

WOW what an amazing place. My dogs first time here for bath and brush was a great experience where they assigned him a personal groomer who came out to greet us and assured him a wonderful and safe experience, then I attended the kitty adoption and shopped around. The employees are super kind and helped me find a high quality affordable dog food. My dog came out beautifully brushed and smelling amazing, all his nails were short and filed smooth and most importantly he was in good spirits. Whoever owns this place should be very proud 💕
