Update: 8/14/23 - my family still has not had anything repaired. No AC since 6/20. Half of the sink is still broken and they canā€™t use the dishwasher because of this. They have gnats because of the stale water in the pipe. I love how the property manager or whoever it may be responded to my first review with ā€œWe appreciate all feedback; however, we would need to know who you are referring to address their concerns and work orders properly. Please ask your family members to contact us directly so we can address their concerns directly.ā€ My family has contacted you PLENTY of times, so I donā€™t need to publicly put who they are or what apartment they live in. If I did so, Iā€™d honestly be afraid that my family would be harassed from this facilityā€™s management staff in some form. And again, youā€™ve still not helped them. My mother sent an email to Theresa the manager, and she did not receive a response. The message was sent multiple times. But Theresa sure answered quick when it had to do with reupping the lease and rent. Now the reason theyā€™ve received as to why things arenā€™t being fixed is ā€œyou canā€™t file more than one request at a time or the request gets cancelledā€. So, luckily my family lives in an apartment where multiple things can break at once, and there is no reliable way to report anything. Well, if youā€™re not fixing one thing, why canā€™t you fix something else on the list? This entire situation is absolutely ridiculous. My family has never missed a payment in the two years they've been there. They're good tenants, and wouldn't complain about anything unless it were truly bad. You take advantage of your tenants, because you can, because a lot of the people living here - like my family have no other option for housing. IT'S UNACCEPTABLE! Your apartments aren't worth half of what you're charging. But lucky them, and everyone else having to live in your crummy complex for getting their rent raised. Super worth it when theyā€™re not getting the amenities theyā€™re paying for. I am not a resident here but I have family that are. They have been without AC for the last 3 weeks and other things that need to be fixed in the apartment. All they keep getting is an ā€œIā€™m sorry butā€¦.ā€ Insert excuse here. Their rent has been raised (Iā€™m sure a lot of the residents got an increase) and theyā€™re expected to start paying for all these ā€œamenitiesā€ that they arenā€™t getting. The pool isnā€™t even up and running to give these residents relief from the heat. Itā€™s not just my family thatā€™s suffering itā€™s a lot of people. If you can, stay away from this place. Extremely inflated rent prices and itā€™s not even that nice of a place to live. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Such a beautiful property. Parking can be tight at times and we've had our share of inexperienced and unhelpful maintenance, but the guys theyve sent over recently really took care of us. Edit:(7mo later) Unfortunately, that's all the positive things to note about this complex. The office staff seem to care very little about any issues. And when things got escalated, I had to deal with their manager from a joining property... Daniela, just a dispicable woman with zero customer service skills, I heard her own staff refer to her as "Little Hitler" which doesnt give me much hope for staying here. They can't keep maintenance staff here for more than a few months at a time, so there is no one to complete requests. Easier to just go to court than to try and deal with any of them, especially that regional manager, anything to not have to interact with her again.

This is my first apartment experience but I should have done more research before signing the lease. We have ONLY been here for 3 months and in that time we have a but in 4 maintenance orders all of which took more than a week to fix. Our A/C went out TWICE and Iā€™m writing this review in an apartment that is well over 80 degrees. Itā€™s just plain unacceptable that we pay well over 1,400 a month for an apartment to A not have the amenities that is promised and advertised. And B not being able to be comfortable in our home.

Update: It has been a week already without A/C i mean it is so hot in the apartment I'm sorry but it's really annoying that its takes so long to get anything fixed around here. you know I understand that there are a lot of apartment buildings but my a/c hasn't been working for 2 days already. I have submitted two maintenance requests and they both got canceled because I added urgent on them. I'm sorry but when your apartment is at 90 degrees and there is no cool air blowing then I know there is a problem.

Future tenants please go some where else this place does not care about you or your concerns. When something breaks they do a quick fix and guess what the following week is broken again to then wait a week or even longer for them to come and fix it. A week without AC at 100 degree weather. If there is not enough maintenance than hire more. Tenants should be your number one priority. There is no amenities and not even an open pool to cool off. Donā€™t leave anything in the front porch it will get stolen including your plants. Worst apartments I have ever lived in. You have to register visitors car that stay over night is ridiculous. That should be against the law. No one needs to know who is visiting. Is not like they are cheap! You will get more for your money somewhere else.

Lengthy review, stating each unfortunate issue at this complex. Two maintenance men for a 24+ building property (and neither can fix anything much less ever get around to "fix" things). Above neighbors shower was leaking through our ceiling. Large holes were cut into the ceiling to air it out the following day. I can smell and see mildew/mold (7 months later). Then after 2 weeks of gaping holes in my shower ceiling, dry wall compound was used to fill holes, no actual dry wall patches or mesh, ceiling is still unpainted or textured. Drywall flakes into my shower when the neighbors walk around long enough from the half done job. Under both sinks is water damage. Management does not communicate with each other, when a concern or maintenance request is made by tenants. You have to tell each one of them the problem 2-3 times before one will even slightly know what you are reffering to. Example; only appliance that worked was the microwave. Took 2 months to replace washer dryer, 6 months the oven, dish washer got swept under the rug, Ac still malfunctioning. Central heater uses the hot water, can only take a 5 minute shower in winter. Property manager said, "Your water heater is 60% to small we will order a larger one." 4 weeks later, "Oh, actually it just needs a different part." 2 weeks later part comes. Problem was never solved. Pool is still not open for the summer, no updates on when it will be. ZERO parking by 6pm. If you work an evening shift like myself you'll be parking 3 buildings down. . I think these reviews are starting to have weight in potential tenents decision to live here. Three units in our building have stood empty for over three months now. Please, please save yourself the trouble and find a place that gives a care greater than, 25% of this place.

Document everything! Record every call, save every text and email. Take pictures and video of everything. The office staff is so incompetent that you will need it for legal purposes! Don't forget your vehicle. I have so many door dents and scratches from smaller than standard parking spaces. On one occasion I couldn't open my door far enough to get into my car to leave for work! Do not live here if you have friends or family who want to visit - unless they WALK! You are only allowed 3 visiting vehicles a month and they have to register their vehicle and get permission to be there! You'll still be lucky to find a parking space.

I recently moved here from a complex that has better reviews and is in a more prime location near Corrales. Unfortunately that complex location has gone down. I was constantly putting up with homeless issues and my car being broken into and vandalized with constant worry for my family when I was at work. Here at the Aspens I already have had a much better living experience. The issues I was having at my old apartment are gone. Seems to be the location, while not as good as my old place itā€™s less of a hotspot for what drove me to move. Yes, The Aspens doesnā€™t have great Google reviews though I am unsure why. My moving experience was great. The staff was very supportive and responsive to my needs and concerns. Maintenance quickly resolved the few minor issues I had with my apartment moving in. I truly feel much safer here and am not worried my car is going to get stolen or broken into. While it can happen anywhere, my old complex near Corrales was so ridden with crime I took the leap to move here and it was entirely worth it. The Aspens even offers covered parking and garages which secure a parking place for you no matter the time of day or night you come home. Sometimes reviews and others experiences are misleading as this is the case with the Aspens. If you are planning on moving I suggest moving here and not solely relying on Google reviews. Yes other places might have ā€œcleanerā€ grounds and better amenities, though, is that whatā€™s important in a city where itā€™s hard to feel like you, your loved ones and belongings are safe? The Aspens even has upgraded apartments, washer and dryer, and larger living space for less than the my old apartment. Love this place.
