I
went
here
for
a
previously
reserved,
late
afternoon,
Thanksgiving
dinner
for
a
party
of
three.
This
location
of
Ruth's
Chris
had
overbooked
and
they
were
not
offering
vouchers
to
people
who
left
tables
for
others
as
on
airlines
when
they
overbook.
We
were
told
that
there
would
be
a
45
minute
wait
and
there
was
no
place
for
people
waiting
to
sit.
After
standing
for
20
minutes,
a
seat
opened
up
at
the
bar.
So
I
sat
there
and
struck
up
a
conversation
with
another
bar
patron,
Barbara.
She
had
been
waiting
at
the
bar
for
two
hours
for
a
to-go
steak
sandwich
which
she
had
ordered
online
that
morning.
She
would
strike
up
conversations
with
people
at
the
bar
and
as
those
people
were
seated,
she
made
new
friends
until
they
were
seated,
too.
Finally,
my
party
was
seated
45
minutes
after
our
reservation.
We
noticed
that
about
thirty
minutes
later,
Barbara
finally
got
her
sandwich
and
left.
As
she
walked
out,
she
was
greeted
by
just
about
every
table
of
patrons
in
Ruth's
Chris,
as
if
she
were
a
celebrity,
because
she
had
befriended
so
many
people
there
during
her
2.5
hour
wait
to
pick
up
her
steak
sandwich.
We
were
told
by
our
waiter
that
once
we
were
seated,
we
would
have
to
wait
another
hour
for
food;
however,
they
did
bring
bread
and
wine
followed
by
a
tasty
large
salad,
so
the
wait
did
not
feel
long.
Our
waiter
and
his
assistant
were
wonderful
servers
...
very
kind
and
attentive.
The
food
was
certainly
very
worth
waiting
for.
It
was
very,
very
tasty.
We
had
the
Thanksgiving
Turkey
dinner
with
turkey,
mashed
potatoes,
gravy
and
a
side.
We
each
chose
a
different
side.
Their
mashed
sweet
potatoes
were
extra
special.
Even
though
the
wait
was
long
and
crowded,
it
was
well
worth
going
to
Ruth's
Chris
for
Thanksgiving
dinner.
I
developed
a
bad
cold
three
days
later
and
I
think
I
got
the
bug
at
the
steakhouse.
I
think
that
if
Ruth's
Chris
is
going
to
overbook,
then
they
need
to
provide
areas
where
patrons
waiting
to
be
seated
could
sit
somewhat
more
distanced
from
each
other.
Perhaps
they
could
set
up
tents
outside
(like
in
the
days
of
COVID)
and
let
patrons
sit
there-more
spread
out-as
they
wait.
