We have been patrons of the Golden Pride located on Juan Tabo NE for decades, as well as the restaurant located on far NE Central Ave. We like the fried chicken meals, and love their BBQ rib dinners but it is mostly the breakfast burritos that we ordered, and they have always been great - until lately. Now, I realize that they don't use fresh ingredients in that they use liquid eggs and frozen hash brown potatoes, but it had made for a good burrito at a reasonable price until the last couple of months. The potatoes are horrible! The potatoes are overcooked resulting in, as one reviewer remarked, mashed potatoes. Like that reviewer, if I wanted mashed potatoes, I would order the burrito that way. This morning we got our burritos (#1, #11, and a side of hash browns w/cheese) and we ended up throwing the food away. Soggy burritos with "mashed" potatoes and poorly wrapped and the side of potatoes were not hash browns but rather just a potato mush. I'm not sure we'll ever go back for burritos, which really is sad because we have been customers for so long and did truly enjoy the burritos. Hopefully the ribs and chicken continue to be good, fingers crossed.

First, I think it's primarily a drive through. Okay, here goes. I'm visiting my nephew and his gal and I say to him, "I'm craving a good bfast burrito. Where is the nearest burrito shop?". Driving into town, I remembered seeing a Filibertos, a 5 star Mex food shop in its own right. My nephew says "No Tio, go to Golden Pride. Better than Filibertos and not as expensive." So off I go, me and my gal, and we get to Golden Pride and our guy at the window was super nice, super friendly, and looked and acted like he loved his job. That's a plus! We had our order in a very short time, hot, fresh, sausage, egg, potato and cheese and whatever else it came with. Top shelf burrito!!! We also had the adobada special, 2 burritos and fries. The burritos were first class fare, delicious! And the fries were fricking memorable. I don't know how they make them but they're delicious. Sadly though, when I asked for an horchata, they don't do aguas frescas. A Dr Pepper had to fill the drink void and it was fine. All in all, I think Golden Pride will be my go-to for a damned good burrito and bfast fare. Not just good, not just great, but over the top delicious food that's a good value in today's quick food sector. These guys know how to do it, for sure! Thanks Golden Pride folks!

All ways a delightful experience at Goden Pride! I got a Rib Plate with spicy beans, potato salad, and a half Chief salad. Washing it down with an ice cherry vanilla Coke!

I love going here! Don’t let the long line stop you. There’s a reason it’s long: the food is great. Also, the line moves quick, really quick. It’s worth coming every time. Good food from the bbq chicken to a simple burrito. Stop by any time for a good, tasty and reasonably priced meal!

Love their chicken. The pieces are large and always hot and juicy. I always get take out, there is no indoor dining. The service is very fast. This is a very popular spot and there's always a line but, you get served very quickly.

I've been going to this location (Juan Tabo/Montgomery) for over 43 years, and believe it or not, they NEVER disappoint! From their #1 Breakfast Burritos, Green Chile Stew, Posole, BBQ Chicken, Fried Chicken, or BBQ Ribs there's no possible way you could go wrong! WHAT...? You say they have a long line (duh!), but it is the absolute QUICKEST long line you'll ever go through! ENJOY!

I love the breakfast burritos here! The number 9 breakfast burrito is usually what I order. You can also pick up a dozen Frontier tortillas, Frontier sweet rolls, and Frontier green chile stew as well.
