Just checked out after a 2 night stay. Poorest quality Marriott I have ever stayed at, and I have travelled all across the country. The building is old and the fixtures show wear. The hallways have a slightly musty smell. The location is central, but it's right off the Interstate and gets noise. Wish the breakfast was included. It feels like a very average hotel, not a Marriott. I had two bad experiences. First, when I checked in, they checked me into the 15th floor into a room that you could see from inside the elevators... It was close. From inside the room, I could hear the elevators humming in operation. There's no way I could sleep to that. I immediately requested a different room. The elevators stopped constantly going up and down because there are probably not enough for how many floors and traffic there are. Second, at 7:20 am of my last day, I hear loud voices in the hallway. I hear a knock on my door. I opened it to two ladies claiming to be housekeeping and who realize that I am just waking up. They were dressed like employees but I didn't see the typical cleaning carts. I have never, ever, ever been disrupted by housekeeping that early in the morning. What a terrible practice. I will not be staying here again.

Our experience at this hotel was abysmal. The air conditioning went out in the middle of a hot New Mexico desert summer. They told us it was out in the whole building, and yet the hallways were cool. When we asked to be put in another room they said the air conditioning would be repaired. It wasn’t. It was so hot in the room we had to leave the door to the main hallway open. When we checked out we told them how stuffy and baking the room had been, keeping us awake all night. They should have given us a new room (there were plenty available) or at the very least refunded us for at least one night. No one should ever have to sleep in a hotel with the door open. That’s how bad it was. Do not stay here.

I reserved a 2 queen bed room. When I showed up at 6pm on a Friday, they stated that they had no rooms of that type available. They stated that they could move me to a room of that type the next day and would call me. Fine. They did not call, so I rang to the desk. They said they would check into it. They never called back. The room they gave me was super small for some reason (right next to the elevator). The pool was always very busy. Carpets were dirty everywhere. The lobby is very small, except for the ballroom area. The weight room as clean but some of the items did not work. Worst Marriott I have been to.

I'm rather high in status and decided to spend some hard earned points here. I travel for work and spend close to equal nights in hotel as I do at home. Hotel room that I received was run down for a recent renovation and the lounge was pretty abysmal. Staff was fine. I feel like I should make more of an effort on my Hilton status given the offerings. I mean. I know it was a points reservation, but I feel like when I use points, I never get a decent room. What's the point of using points?

Standard Marriott room. Comfortable bed. Quality customer services. Fine breakfast, although not free. Probable bed bugs. Numerous bites. Yuck! All of the hotel's Elegance will not remediate that. Utterly disgusting! This establishment Snatched a 3.0 rating from a five-star review.

I was greeted by Martin from the front desk upon arrival and made the reservation directly with him as a walk-in. Martin was professional, courteous and kind. He provided me with answers for all my questions and more, assisted me in finding a room better for my needs than what was available when I first walked in, gave me a fair price and made sure we have all that we need. My country is now at war and Martin was very empathic about it without taking and sides which is something to appreciate. I hope Martin will be told about this review, he really made a change and our stay much better. The rooms are clean, but old. The breakfast is good and the location is safe and central.

My family and I stayed here for two nights. The room and linens were clean. The hotel was quiet, and my son and I took advantage of the pool to relax and have fun. The parking lot was full on one side of the hotel. When I parked on the other side, I realized why: all the external hotel doors were locked, and I had to walk quite a ways with our luggage. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again.

We have stayed in Albuquerque at least a dozen times over the last several years and had avoided this hotel for the low ratings that it has received. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room, good condition of the hotel, the lounge was nice and even available for snacks and drinks at 11 pm when we arrived. The indoor and outdoor pools were clean and the indoor pool was warm. The Gym was very clean with updated equipment. The gym had more treadmills and equipment (and was larger) than any Marriott that we have stayed in so far. The staff was friendly and professional. We stayed 2 separate nights within a week on the 5th floor and 14th floor. Glad that we gave it a try and would definitely stay there again. It is a good value for the price.

I want to thank you for the exceptional customer service your staff provided. From when I arrived Martin went out of his way when welcoming my wife and I. Martin was very professional and super friendly. I found the hotel to be very clean and well maintained. The lady at the bar, on May 27th was also exceptional, she also treated us very well. Dinner, drinks and dessert was great. Thank you again, I will be leaving my Google review also. Thanks the Page family.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott Albuquerque in New Mexico and I must say, it was a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a warm welcome and the staff's professionalism was evident throughout my entire stay. One thing that stood out to me was the hotel's convenient location. It was nestled in the heart of the city, making it easy for me to explore various attractions and amenities. Whether it was shopping at nearby malls, enjoying a meal at one of the many restaurants in the area, or catching my flight at the airport, everything was just a stone's throw away. The rooms at the Marriott Albuquerque were a true sanctuary. Impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, I immediately felt at ease. The attention to detail was commendable and it was evident that great care was taken to ensure the utmost comfort of the guests. The plush bedding and well-appointed amenities made for a truly restful experience. I also had the pleasure of dining at the hotel's restaurant and I was blown away by the exceptional quality of the food. Each meal was an absolute delight, prepared with precision and served by a friendly and attentive staff. It was evident that the culinary team took great pride in their creations, and it made dining at the hotel a truly memorable experience. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Marriott Albuquerque to anyone visiting New Mexico. The exceptional service, convenient location, and comfortable accommodations make it a standout choice. Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, this hotel truly goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay.

Team, service, and facilities are fantastic. The only issue was the auto locking door that cycled every 20 minutes, waking us both up. The sounds it made were exactly like the door opening. We ended up checking out and driving through since sleep was out of the question.

The hotel is nice. The people are nice. The first time I stayed here I guess I stayed on the other side of the hotel that isn’t super close to the highway. This time my window faces the highway and I was woke up all night to motorcycles driving by or loud diesels driving. So loud. It wouldn’t be too bad if the fan setting on the air was loud, but it is very quiet and doesn’t get very cold in the room. I would say the temperature stayed at around 70 all night even when bumped down.

Came staying here during the famous hot air balloon festival. Room was fine, but the services was goood, as it's not easy to host that many people during the world 🌎 famous event. Spent my 2 breakfast at the first floor, it was nice as well. Will come staying here again.

Very clean and modern hotel. We got a great deal on a room and we're very pleased with our stay. Great plug access and several USB ports. The elevators might need some reprogramming as they stop on random floors. The only other issue the bathroom did not have a vent so the steam from the shower condensed on the ceiling and caused the paint to bubble. Not my monkeys not my problem though. Overall, you can't find a better deal.

Noise of the elevator is causing constant vibrations in the rooms that keep you up all night. I requested to move rooms and they moved me no hassle however you cannot escape the noise of the elevators vibrating the rooms. Additionally the dry cleaning service that I used cost $70 and all the clothes returned with marks on them when I complained I was told to deal with a third-party vendor and they told me to deal with it so I paid $70 for dirty clothes.

My husband had a recent stay here and had to celebrate a milestone birthday while working. The staff went over and above making his day recognized and special. Can't thank them enough for their care and service. They really went the extra mile. I know he was also very happy with the rooms and everything else about the hotel. Will stay here every time we are in town!

Used to come here when I was little and was a great place from what I remember. Haven't been here since, but this place has really went down hill. First off I got charged twice on my credit card so that was the first thing that went wrong. Second are room was hotter than heck!! I thought the A/C had to kick on and run before it got cool but nope. Just got hotter and hotter as the night progressed. Finally called the front to tell them the problem, and the guy at the front desk made it seem like it was my fault that it wasn't working by his tone and rushing me in the phone. He said all we can do is move you to a different room. So moved in the middle of the night, run was cooler, but now as I write this review the A/C is not working at all getting hotter. The rooms look new but the furniture have dings, dents, and scratches on them which makes it seem your staying at a comfort inn. 3rd gym is ok but also hot and the water machine doesn't work. So getting water while working out is out of the question. The pool is nice and cool but you was very dirty. Hair and other human debris was floating around. The only thing that's good about this place is the location. Sorry guys but this place needs work.

We had 2 adjoining rooms, which was perfect for us. Gorgeous view of the Sandias. Room was in slight disrepair visually; veneer trim peeling on furniture, shower trim came off. Room was not super clean - crumbs noted in crevices of desk chair and visually much of the wood furniture & doors needed scrubbing. Other than the wear and slight dirtiness, I had a pleasant stay.

Just go to the Home 2 Suites next door. This is not even a 2 star hotel. No fridge (not even a mini one), damaged furniture, carpet looks like it's 50 years old and I would not step foot on it even with my flip flops. I gave it 2 starts because the bathroom was nice and the view was also nice. I was on the 11th floor.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. They compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been staying here for years. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't be disappointed. Love staying here! It's always clean, staff is very friendly, and the location is close to stores and dining. The hotel does have a bar and food service but it's a little pricey. Security is great and the grounds are always clean. The rooms are a little small but comfortable. Wi-Fi is reliable too. I will definitely be coming back here when I can.

You think that when you are staying a Marriott you are going to get top notch service especially at 300.00 a night. Very disappointing. I will never stay here again. We asked for extra blanket they didn’t have any. We had a room with a twin couch. You have to pay for breakfast. The room was not cleaned properly. Bathroom ceiling was leaking. Loud noises coming from vents all night like something wrong with AC. elevator door almost took me out a couple of times. What cable? There was only a few channels some didn’t even work the tv would just go black as if it turned off. No microwaves in the room and just a mini fridge. Barely fit a couple bottle waters. If you are just coming here to sleep and shower and don’t care about the amenities. It will work. As long as you are ok with dropping 300.00 for it.

About the only thing this hotel has going for it is its location, getting bonvoy points, and the number of outlets at convenient locations in the rooms. Rooms are tiny, the furniture is beat up beyond all belief with peeling veneer in multiple spots. The bathroom floor was really not adequately clean. The rooms are tiny (but I knew that when I made the reservation). The staff is well meaning but somewhat incompetent. They either don't respond to messages in the app or respond after tremendous delay. At check in, I reinforced my request for a room far from the elevator. The front desk person wasn't really sure where the rooms are relative to the elevator bank and gave me one that he thought was far from the elevator. Turned out it was right next to the elevator. So I returned to the desk and he assigned me a new room. When I arrived at that one, the door was propped open with a cleaning rag in the hinge as though housekeeping abandoned it without finishing. The third room was satisfactory, but as I stated above, not great. On three of the four mornings of my stay, the complimentary coffee station has been empty of either coffee, cups, or lids, or lids were put out that don't fit the cups. It's like they fill it and then they don't go back and check until a guest points it out. Asked for extra bath mats on my first night and they screwed up and just brought towels. These are all little things individually but the sum of them paint a picture of poorly trained staff. I struggle to understand how this hotel has the rating it does. It provides the service of something that rates three stars on Google. First and last time that I will stay at this relatively tired property. In fact, I have been growing increasingly dissatisfied with Marriott properties in general and this experience has basically put the nail in the coffin on my dedication to the Marriott family of brands. I'll spend my bonvoy points and align myself with a competitor. Oh and if you want a peaceful stay, don't stay on the weekend. During the week it's mostly business travelers and it's quiet. On the weekend it's filled with trash guests who are loud and rude until late very late in the evening. And the front desk staff seems reluctant to do anything about it.

The room was not clean when we arrived (dusty and shabby), and the housekeepers came the next day to make up the room so late in the evening that we were in pajamas! We were gone all day from about 9 am to 5 pm, but the room was never made up. For the price I expect more.

Really nice place! The staff were all very professional, polite, friendly, and helpful. The room was clean and updated, the bed was comfy with soft linens and lots of pillows. Check-in was easy. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was a little pricey but Bonvoy members get a free sit down breakfast option. Within walking distance of a couple malls and lots of restaurants too, though it is also right next to a freeway on one side

My only complaint is the air conditioning in the entire hotel was out. Susan was wonderful. Let me know ahead of time about the AC. Bed was comfortable. Nice room. Just way tooo hot. Which is not the fault of the staff.

Wonderful staff, extremely welcoming and friendly. Rooms have been partially updated; furniture is old but the bed and bathroom/shower areas are great. Restaurant has some unique food offerings, but super expensive! Breakfast at the lounge was disappointing compared to MLife lounges. Solid property with good location.

The place and service was absolutely fabulous! I wanted to give them a 5 star but on my way out, I asked them for a coffee at the bar and they charged me $6.5!!! For a cup of coffee! I've used this brand of hotels 76 times this year and this is completely absurd especially when I had free coffee in my room! I only wish I would have known what it cost before they got it. I didn't even have a chance to ask, I asked the front desk if there was anywhere I could get coffee and the lady behind the bar brought it out and asked for $6.50! I didn't even order it yet?

  • 4/5 Caitlyn T. 1 year ago on Google
Clean and cozy rooms, nice pool area too. The only downside to put stay was the air conditioning in the room. It never got below 73-74 degrees even with turning control down and on high. Was difficult to sleep in to warm of a room. We've never had that issue previously when we have stayed at this one.

I’m giving a 5 only because of Molly Myers. When I checked in I was explained nothing and offered nothing even though I’m Platinum Elite and staying on the club level. When I came back to the front desk To ask a question Molly was surprised none of my questions were explained to me and that I was not offered the amenities my level afforded me. She took the time so write out all the cards I needed and explained every detail I’d ever want to know. Her great energy, attitude, and enthusiasm are the reason I’ll return to this hotel the next time my family and I are in town. Lobby is very nice and restaurant and bar service were fantastic as well.

Leena is what every hotel bartender should be. Just the right balance of attentive and talkative. Rooms are fine. Does anyone else miss bar soap in the shower? The walls could use a wipe down in the bathroom. Staff makes this place. They did me a solid and got me into a room early so I could get some work done.

Stayed during the weekdays. Parking is free and easy to park, I didn't have to search for a spot. They had bellhops and other services upon entering. The staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly. The room was very clean and seemed maintained and updated. Room was quite. The bed was comfortable. The water pressure was excellent for a room that was high up. Concierge was nice, but still lacked drinks and desserts. The location is nice, easy to get on and off I-40. Right next to lots of shopping and restaurants. I plan to stay here again if/when I come back.

Excellent stay! Friendly and welcoming front desk. Rooms and grounds were in excellent condition. Room was clean which is not always the case in my travel. Room attendants were attentive. Bar and food was phenomenal. Special thanks to the bartender who I cannot remember her name. Her drinks were very good. And special thanks to Stephanie Walters for her hospitality and professional service during my stay.

Room AC wasn’t working. The hallway was colder than my room. It was set at 60 and never cooled room. Also no soap, shampoo, or body wash in the room. We always stay at Marriott hotels and this is by far the worst one yet!!

Arrived on Sunday the 9th of January. We had just driven 11.5 hours. Was asleep no more than 2 hours when we were awakened to the sound of banging. Not just any banging but the ungodly sound of metal upon metal. After about 15 minutes I opened my door to have a police officer tell to go back into my room that it was not safe. What? I called down to the front desk to inquire as to what was happening. I was told that they had a guest who was being disruptive to others and refused to leave. Needless to say that this banging continued for quite some time. We never went back to sleep. At 5:30am we checked out. Again, I asked the front desk about the incident and I was told that the individual (female) was being immature. So, instead of simply moving whom ever she was disturbing at 1am and posting security outside her door you had to alienate an entire floor of guests for what? I can say this because I was told that there were several others who had also complained. When I asked for the manager to call me when she arrived (at 7:30 am) I was promised that she would. She never did. I called her around 4:30 pm. After a lengthy discussion I informed her that I wanted my stay reimbursed. She said that she would call me back after speaking with her GM. Once again, she never did and it has been almost 2 weeks, how very sad. My husband and I are loyal Marriott guests but this experience has to be by far the most disappointing.

For $180 a night was not worth it. No complimentary breakfast, pool is super cold no jacuzzi. Room was small for it being the king size bed it seemed more like a queen. 3 times security went up to tell me and my sister to keep it down when we were playing music on our phone? Couldn’t laugh without having him at the door. Was the worst stay I’ve ever had in a hotel. Not worth the price. Never booking here again :)

The hotel staff is very nice & accommodating. But the rooms could use some very much needed updating… it’s very small. Absolutely no fridge or microwave, which makes it hard for people who are staying multiple days. I’d like to be able to grab some groceries and store them. But nope. Very disappointing… For breakfast they are charging $30!! That is absolutely insane. As if this is some fancy resort… I think I paid less at the Ritz Carlton 😆 The shower doesn’t even really get hot just luke warm. Pretty expensive for the stay.. four nights totaled more than $1200… I can’t wait to get back home to Texas.
