A Once Thriving Mall in Need of Revitalization I recently had the opportunity to visit this mall, and it is with a sense of disappointment that I provide this review. The establishment, once a vibrant hub of activity, now appears to be in a state of decline. Firstly, the lack of dedicated spaces for children to play is conspicuous. In an age where family-friendly environments are highly sought after, the absence of such amenities is a missed opportunity. A dedicated play area or interactive zones for kids would undoubtedly enhance the overall shopping experience for families. Moreover, it is disheartening to witness the numerous vacant storefronts scattered throughout the mall. This not only detracts from the overall ambiance but also underscores the need for investment and revitalization. These empty spaces could be repurposed to bring in new, exciting businesses that would attract a wider range of patrons. Additionally, the mall's infrastructure is showing signs of decay. From worn-out flooring to outdated decor, it's clear that a renovation is overdue "The saddest part is that the handicap-accessible doors don't work." A fresh, modernized look would breathe new life into the mall and make it a more appealing destination for shoppers. In conclusion, this mall, once a thriving hub, now struggles to meet the evolving needs of its visitors. A commitment to making it more family-friendly, filling vacant spaces with innovative businesses, and investing in its infrastructure would undoubtedly help restore its former glory. It's my hope that these observations will serve as constructive feedback, prompting positive changes for the benefit of both the mall's management and its patrons. I specialize in writing articles for The New York Times, and I am currently in the process of preparing an article on the worst malls in the United States. It is certain that Cottonwood Mall will be featured as one of the worst malls in the country

We went to the Paranormal Circus! It was pretty awesome!! There were a lot of talented acts, great vibes! Really awesome experience. There could have been more acts like the pictures showed on the website, the skits were a little corny with cheap costumes. But overall they did a great job!!

This time of year was always a go to for unique gifts. The last couple of years this is not the case. This year was even more disappointing. Some shops not open. Some closing early at 3p. The prices of some things were double the amount if found elsewhere.

This is a great mall. Bright and clean and not crowded at all. We like to come walk and shop and eat. There is a great sushi spot in the food court, and spots for drinks and sweets too.

Like others have said, this mall is in desperate need of a remodel. There are lots of empty or unrecognizable stores. There are no other malls that compete with this one. Coronado Mall is too far away for most westsiders. I feel like this mall could come back if they could find an owner that invested in it.

One, Armani suits and run! Two, Air Jordan shoes for you! Three, linen shirts for free! Four, cashmere sweaters out the door! Five, Patagonias to survive. Six! Swanky sweatsuits in the mix!

This mall is easy to navigate. Enjoyable. And has a variety of choice shops depending on what your looking for. Nice to browse through. Highly recommend NM Rocks on the lower level sorta beneath the food court area. Alot of the workers throughout the mall are friendly. Helpful.

Needs more stores but still a great place to shop. It's actually very well kept.

Beautiful artistry inside the mall. Hot air balloon and clear glass elevator make it enjoyable. The ceiling in the food court is one of a kind and worth taking out of town guests too. I'm sad they got rid of the kids play area and put in a bull-riding machine instead. Still has a few good stores although some of them are random ones that sell junk made in China.

Disclaimer: I do not frequent malls and only go if there are no other options. This mall seems outdated. Very few food choices and the one I wanted wasn't serving at 2 pm-ish. It was very quiet on a Monday afternoon. Plenty of parking. I saw a carousel but not sure if it's in operation. The traffic in the area is awful and drivers will not let you in which is difficult if you're not aware of which lanes end suddenly. The people working there were nice and helpful and if rating just them, they'd get 5 stars.

I like the mall but I wish they would get some new businesses. Half of the facility is empty. Coronado mall really stepped up their game with tons of new exciting stores and entertainment venues. I wish cottonwood would do the same.

Nice 2 story mall. I got a Boba Fett car from 1 of the store, a plague doctor's from another and had my screen fixed by Carlos in Luna Accessories. He was prompt and polite. Then I had dinner at BJ's. Off to Dallas after grub 🤠

I enjoyed my time there. I was buying some shirts at the mall. Afterwards I stopped in. I sat at the bar and I met some great people. The $20 Steak 🥩 meal was awesome. I bought one beer and another guest bought me my second one. It was a great experience.

I really like this mall. There is plenty of space to get a good walk in without annoying everyone who is shopping. The food court really needs a separate reviews because it's one to avoid. Great mall and movie theater, though!

This Mall is pretty nice, they have a unique sneaker shop that I Love it’s Called Duke City Heat 🔥 They really represent the 505!!! They got a variety of stores even got An Official Dallas Cowboy’s 🌠 store what!!!! Go check it out!!! I know our fashion is a bit different and behind in New Mexico compared to other State’s but our Cottonwood Mall is worth stopping by to check out 😏

Do not go to mobile Xpress The man is shady and charges expensive prices for cheap Chinese phone cases and screen protectors. He will always ask for a necessary tip which will usually add an extra 30 dollars to your bill. Ask for a refund and he’ll try to give you a 10 dollar discount while claiming he has to call his brother over and it will take a week for you to get a refund. Please look into this. Never buying from here again.

The way Park and Ride organized us all for pick up and drop off for the Hot Air International Balloon Festival was amazing. Huge shout out to everyone who helped, participated and volunteered. I highly recommend going to the festival this way and not fight the roads, crazy drivers and waste of gas... it made the experience even more enjoyable..

The Mall is fine. The stores are great. Management is horrible. The bathrooms are not checked and they lack soap, paper towels, and sometimes toilet paper. Tough enough to get people to sanitize after going to the bathroom, but this negligence to maintain bathrooms especially when we are in a era of COVID is unconscionable. Management is responsible to make sure bathrooms are maintained. I wonder how many sick people there are in your lovely sparkling Mall!!!

Service here was great. The only knock on BJs is the price. They only offer craft beer, theirs. It's pretty good, you'll find something to your taste. Extensive menu.

I was impressed with the variety of stores available, as well as the clean and well-maintained atmosphere. The mall was not crowded, and I was able to find everything I was looking for. I would definitely recommend Cottonwood Mall to anyone looking for a great place to shop. The mall has a wide variety of stores, the atmosphere is clean and welcoming, and there are a number of restaurants and entertainment options available.

I am from San Diego, and was surprised with this shopping mall, it's better than most of the ones we have here. Dillard's has very good quality clothing, not cheap, one season tee shirts and shorts. This is one one the best shopping complexes I've seen put together. It has all major stores.

Always has a lot of shops to go to. So much fun to go with friends. Sometimes it's nice to get out and about and just buy from whatever store you're at at cottonwood Mall always go with my buddies and we always seem to buy something from there, either food or something that we find cool and looks nice. Highly recommend to go again!

My daughter and I had a delightful lunch together at BJ's restaurant. We ordered from the lunch menu and share our plates with each other. Daniel gave us excellent service and even brought us a cup of iced tea to go. This place has a very extended menu with many choices in both food and drinks.

Cottonwood Mall is a fantastic shopping destination! The cleanliness of the mall is remarkable, making the shopping experience enjoyable. With a wide variety of great shops available, it caters to diverse tastes and preferences. Whether you're looking for fashion, electronics, or delicious treats, this mall has it all! A must-visit for anyone looking to have a wonderful shopping day. Highly recommended.

The only good shopping here is Dillard's the Cottonwood Mall in Albuquerque on the west side looks like an indoor Mercado they have some really low level vendors I have a lot of multiple ethnic places that smell bad inside the store and have the same exact items the items that they carry in the stores are very low quality I would not go to Cottonwood mall! If you need to do shopping go to Coronado or go to Uptown or only come into Dillard's and I would say Hobby Lobby at this location Cottonwood is a horrible Mall so sad it's almost bulldozer worthy at this point!

Great mall, nice food court, good selection of stores, plenty of good parking. My only complaint is that it feels a big childish, almost designed for teenagers and young adults. It still has some classy and fancy stores to enjoy, but it's a little lacking in refined style and decor shops to be a 5 star mall.

It was my first time visiting Cottonwood Mall and it was awesome! We only went to a few stores, but I loved it! This mall has more interesting stores than Coronado and it’s cleaner, too! Service and prices vary depending on which stores you shop at, but this mall is definitely worth checking out! We will definitely go back there again! :)

We visit here a couple times a year. Sadly it looks to be having less and less stores. Also, the arcade, specifically the air hockey tables took our money and there were no pucks in the one upstairs. The downstairs air hockey machine had a puck and worked but the puck and table was incredibly dirty which gave it poor action. Whomever is in charge needs to check in on things more often--nobody is ever there so if a machine takes your money with no play, you're s.o.l. The walkways are clean, the bathrooms tend to be okay at the food court. The food court tables could be washed more but the floors seem clean. We love visiting the Sushi Roller & even though is a 45 supporter he's a nice fellow. Imagination Land has gotten exorbitantly overpriced with knock off stuffies and different pop culture items--not sure how they stay in business when you double the prices for no reason but they're still there. We will still probably go there once or twice a year but there's not much to look forward to anymore as prices get outrageous for us peasants. It's clean and relatively quiet. So there's that.

This is where the older people go and walk. 😆. It was spacious, but some stores were locked up while others were open. The food court was decent. The picture I took was a wowzer. (Middle of the food court). The mall wasn't crowded either.

All but one of the sinks in the bathrooms at the food court weren’t working. None of them had soap and the bathrooms were dirty. Also when the cleaning lady was mopping she didn’t put a wet sign up.

Nice mall. It's pet friendly so it's neat to see all the pets strolling along too. Plus you see the dog walkers from the Going to the Dogs thrift store. All in all, nice , friendly, atmosphere.

Who doesn’t like going to the mall? This is a pretty nice mall. There’s a lot to do at cottonwood, and it has that perfect early 2000’s feel to it, that to me is nostalgic. I’ve been a lot and haven’t noticed anything bad. A bit nicer to walk around than Coronado, feels less cramped. Both are great, though.

Cheescake Factory This place is always full so I suggest you make a reservation and avoid the wait. Food is always great here and so is service Expect at least a $50-$60 bill for 2 This weekend I had the lunch special Grilled Salmon and Vanessa had Jambalaya. As an appetizer we had the Avocado Rolls and 2 waters Once again Reserve and Enjoy!

Well. It was more alive than Coronado Center is. I would like to go back if it wasn't so far away from my house. I was thrilled about it.

Cottonwood Mall good place to go shopping at they have lots of shops in the mall and they also have a few restaurants in the mall and outside the mall.. they have JCPenney's, Macy's in all kinds of other shops. They even have a movie theater at this cottonwood Mall. They have the range Cafe, sushi bars, longhorn steakhouse and several other restaurants. I would shop at this mall again.

Jordan at VANS was outstanding, extra helpful, and proficient. Purchased a many of shoes for the grandkids there. The mall in general is a great place to look around in all the different stores. Nice and clean, sanitized and great people at the theater as well. Lots of shopping fun.

I like the fact that they are pet friendly and typically my dog never has an accident but they had stuff at locations to take care of it if your dog does. I was already almost done cleaning it up when security came up and she was helpful Instead of condescending As I would expect in this situation like that. She definitely deserved a that a girl.

There are less and less big stores here each time I visit, but it is starting to have a lot of entertainment. There is a movie theater, mini golf, arcades and so much more. There are even free options like blocks for the kids to play with in the middle open area. My kids especially love the carousel. There are a lot of smaller stores with specialty items that are fun to see as well.

Very nice, clean. Lots of shops, great food court. My only complaint would be the ladies room attendant was right outside the bathroom stall, literally so close to the door I almost ran into her. Very uncomfortable and uncalled for.

  • 4/5 Jason S. 2 years ago on Google
Pretty good mall overall. Has a food court, and typical mall stores. It has a couple arcades and some fun play areas. It is unique as it has a few stores that sell more local NM items, which is pretty cool. I went during the week and it was mostly empty, which was nice.

Had the Double bone-in porkchop about two months ago and boasted about it to my circle of family and friends. Went back last weekend to eat before the Paranormal Cirque and it was dry as jerky. Had to smother it in A1 sauce to get it down. I should have sent it back. My wife ordered the Great White pizza and served her a totally different pizza. She sent it back for the correct pizza and enjoyed it. The bartender was cool and made a good Manhattan. He notified the manager of the mistake made on my wife's order and the manager removed it from the bill. For a pork chop, Seasons 52 is the best and is consistently cooked to perfection.

Not much to say. I went looking for a dress for a Gala. Found a nice, reasonably priced dress at Dillard's. I was in and out. Good parking, clean environment, clean dressing rooms. Not too crowded for a weekend.

My girlfriend and I went to the food court for New Year’s Eve eating. We got a lemonade from hot dog on a stick, fries from potato corner, AND a Philly Cheese Steak from Phillys! Love this place though like really. Go to the food court now!! Eat now !! :) :)

  • 5/5 Jenna B. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful mall, and full of great stores to check out. The food options aren’t the greatest more for snacking, but there are plenty of local places in the area for dining. The mall was clean, and the staff we interacted with were friendly! Overall a nice mall to get things you need. Usually super busy over the weekends, and slower during the week. Parking is plentiful.

  • 4/5 Kurt 1 year ago on Google
Cool mall. Very New Mexico. Lots of New Mexico stores in here as well as your favorite traditional mall stores. Don't miss the cool parts! The hot air balloon, the city on the ceiling of on of the food courts, bull riding, merry-go-round, art in different places. This mall is two stories and has plenty of stores for whatever you need, as well as plenty of unique ones!

  • 5/5 Denice M. 1 year ago on Google
This is my favorite mall to visit now. This is a good mall for tourists to visit I’m my opinion because it has a lot more southwestern style art and feel to it. It’s just decorated so much better than Coronado. I really wish more places would decorate the New Mexico style so they could stand out more. Don’t use the claw machines here though you really can’t win much. Or at any mall here. Cottonwood has some fun things going on more people should go.
