Stayed here 3 nights; note my bed was very hard and although some people need a hard bed, I got very little sleep. They do NOT clean rooms until you check out, I was told as well as not changing the towels or emptying the trash. With the exception of Michael, who is VERY polite and helpful, none of the other frontdesk staff attempted to help and made sure to show you that you are interfering in whatever work they are supposedly doing. Would NOT recommend

Staff was wonderful. Bed was comfy & got great sleep. An old hotel & rough at edges but staff say they are working on it. Disappointed no free breakfast there. That should be added. Love breakfasts offered at Holiday Inn Express. All should offer it.

It's a really decent hotel. Staffs great. The lobby and rooms are clean. The bathroom showers are a trip but I kinda like them. The only complaint I had was you can only get in through the front door. This really isn't that big of deal but when you have to park on the far side of the building everyday it can be a long walk around to the room. The only other complaint that was a one off was when I was checking out on the 4th floor the elevator button was punched out. Having to lug your luggage down the stairs when you're trying to catch a flight was super annoying. Other than that it's one of the best of the hotels in the area.

My son & I went to the Holiday Inn Albuquerque where the towels are oh so fluffy and you can eat your soup out of the ashtrays. It's OK, they're clean. Room was as expected, clean and comfortable. The pool was closed as was the restaurant, but when you can eat your soup out of the ashtrays that's not a big deal. The clerk was a good dude.

    1. Won't take cash. Even with a credit card to hold. 2. No ice machines work so you have to go to the front desk. This seems to be a trend as a Holiday Inn in another state didn't have functional ice machines. 3. The bar was not open. No reason given Just not open. 4. No Pool. The pool wasn't open either. That was an extreme bummer for our kids. 5. I knew there wouldn't be breakfast but I had hoped there would be something nearby other than an overpriced hotel restaurant. So that's a location thing. Just know before you come here. For the price I don't think this was of value. If my elderly dad wasn't with us I would have left.

They did not greet me upon arrival. I had to ask for a room key because they forgot and didnt tell me the room number. The pool was out of order and I made reservations specifically for the pool/hot tub. the lobby and hallways were way hot, a/c was down. I requested breakfast they the forgot to give me the tickets for them so I had to go back to the front and get tickets before being served which took 45 min to get my food. Beds were hard as rock and not comfortable at all. At check out I asked for a receipt and they were having issues with the printer, to which they said they would email it. Day later nothing still. Had to call back to get a receipt. I do not recommend a stay here. Very disappointed.

I gave two stars buy ONLY because the staff was so nice here. Very old, rundown rooms with damage to furniture, paint jobs, and all ceramic fixtures. First room I was in I could hear literally every spoken word next door. I asked for another room when the talk turned to sexy time for them. Second room was thankfully less loud but smelled really bad. The entire second floor hallway smelled like an old locker room, as if there was water damage and mold underlying a year of sweat and body fluids. Both rooms had old, hard beds, the first I could literally tell where the mattress was wearing out beneath me (springs!) Second room had previous people's food still in the fridge, and some odor that I can only equate to a super old bar that used to allow smoking and over served lots of people to the point of vomiting. I literally sprayed my pillows with scented hand sanitizer to try and ignore the odor enough to get to sleep. I like Holiday Inn Expresses usually, but this felt more like an old mom and pops motel that hasn't had any upgrades or attention for 15 years or more. Grounds are OK, but they only allow one way into building (for security), the rest of the doors are kept locked. As I mentioned, staff were as helpful as they could be and they were the ONLY good thing about this location.

When we first arrived we were told the pool was closed for maintenance, which I understand, but I wish they would have said as such on their website before we booked, because the nice big pool and hot tub were the main reason we booked. Then, we tried to do laundry, they said they had laundry soap, but when we asked for it they said they didn't have any. We had to go to the hotel next door and buy some. Oh, and our room key wouldn't open the laundry room on our floor like it should have, so we had to go to another floor to use it. The Jetta tub in our room had no plug so we couldn't use it, and for some reason the thermostats were set to 80 degrees and would not shut off. Staff is rude and not attentive to customers' needs. Not worth the price at all. Disappointing end to spring break. Do better, Holiday Inn

The building is under construction which is completely understandable. I, however, would have liked to know that the rooms were in poor shape before purchasing a room for my family (wife and 2 toddlers) and I over the phone. The broken wall, chipping paint, and bathtub chipping were not acceptable. They did move us to a different room and were very understanding about it though which I appreciate. They should definitely be offering a discount for the quality of the rooms. I don’t discourage anyone from booking with them, just know what you are coming to.

I was sorely disappointed with my visit to this Holiday Inn. Admittedly, there is construction going on in the building, but my grievances' are not the result of that. Got to my room and found it was poorly supplied. No shampoo, not enough soap etc. Looked at the shower, and it looks like it is filthy. The floor tile is seriously stained and soap scum is built up on all the tile. Doubt I'll use it. The mattress is similar to lying on a board, very hard with no cushion. My dog has a better bed. Add to these the minor things that indicate a lack of maintenance, the entire hotel is dirty, the door closer causes the door to slam (waking the neighbors no doubt) and that I had to replace the light bulb in the desk lamp (maintenance wasn't available) and it is perfect room to ruin a trip. I was supposed to be here for two days, but am checking out and going to Hampton Inn across the street. If you look at my reviews I give credit to those who deserve it. This place deserves no credit, because it looks like the owners are bankrupt and just DGAF.

Great respect for a staff and hotel manager- very poorly supported by corporate HQ. These workers are doing a tremendous job for a company that allows guests to unknowingly check in to a dilapidated hotel (numerous comments here attest to hotel’s current condition). Greedy Corporate knew full well they were about to supposedly start renovations but allow dummies like my family to check in to a hotel that cannot even keep the air conditioning on in the lobby! We saw staff that have to work in this hot mess. Same hot lobby for guests. We laughed when we got into the cold hot tub. The fire alarm went off hotel wide at 2:00am. Had to get keys to the downstairs bathrooms from front desk. We mistakenly selected Holiday Inn instead of Holiday Inn Express (so easy to do if you use IHG and too hurriedly select a hotel - beware). The upper management that allowed for this mess of dropped balls is to blame. This was probably a pretty nice hotel at one point. Corporate is okay with allowing us to check in even when they know services are way below acceptable standards. Typical corporate greed and failure. My hope is that I will better recall what I already knew: Holiday Inn Express is far superior to Holiday Inn and I need to slow down and avoid winding up where I am tonight!

From the second I got there nothing but rude. I'm guessing the front desk clerk is racist, I have her my passport and said today or NO. She has her daughter working with her on evening who pretended to help just "discover" my dogs. Accused me of breaking in the room, lied said I was in the wrong room, lied said the was a guest stuff still in the room, inappropriately banged and/or kicked on the door, threaten to call the police and have me kicked out. All that instead of going and telling me my registered certified service dogs were not allowed (they were) but she'll let it slide. After forcing me to lock my dogs for a day she claimed she'd allow it. Falsely Accused my dog of deficating in the lobby and if he did her fault. Has her daughter. The second she saw my passport her face because angry and came up with excuses to get me kicked out. I'm assuming the GM is aware otherwise she wouldn't be so brave and mistreat guests the way she treated me. Tried to charge me for free hot chocolate ONLY ME

I had a quick, pleasant stay. The room was clean and neat. The hotel is going through renovations right now so there was a little bit of a mess throughout.

Being next to the airport, I expected to hear more noise. The staff was friendly, and their restaurant staff were very helpful. They’re refurbishing the rooms, which is good as they’re old. My room has several patches on the walls, but everything else was great.

The beds were clean and decently comfortable. There were many areas of the room that were falling apart, particularly in the bathroom. Pieces of the ceiling falling, missing tile, tile that is falling off the wall, etc. Additionally, I picked up a candy bar from the gift shop for $2.50 (insane price) and it was stale/expired. This hotel needs a serious update.

Not a good experience here nothing was working Ice machines on all floors were down. The manager of this place is a Karen for sure. Bed was super uncomfortable the floors and all the tile on the bathroom floor was cracked all over multiple rooms 4 to be exact. The breakfast wasn’t ready for us sat every morning till 6:15 still no breakfast. Dinner was trash the sorry girl who had no training had no clue what to do. Got a mix drink from the bar was literally 95% mixer didn’t even taste the alcohol. Ask for a draft the gave me a bottle. This hotel is probably the one of the worst holiday inns I have ever been too. Very disappointed will never come back including everyone in our company won’t come here

Pool is closed! We just got here and this place isn’t good at all! Issues with staff just not being professional! Room key didn’t work multiple times! Staff had to come and open our door and was took the magnet readers are going out! Not my problem! Called early on because we are coming in from TX and wouldn’t get there until night, wanted a room close to the elevator and was told Okay over the phone. When we got here room was almost the most furthest from the elevator! Asked if there was a room and that we called and was told and he says no and he doesn’t know why anyone would tell us that! Went to breakfast and server while nice enough , we sat there for a good 5-10 mins without her coming from the back, has to send my burrito back 2x and still didn’t come back right! Lobby looks nice but everything else is run down !! We stayed here for the pool and yea they have a sign on the front desk they need to say online before you book! I have a child who wanted to swim!!! Overall this holiday inn leaves a bad taste !!!

Needs a refurbishing which is scheduled to begin next week. Staff is friendly and helpful. One waitress was very resourceful in making regular coffee as the kitchen only had decaf. Our room was tucked in a recess behind the elevator. It was a dark hallway. 🫤. The room was nice though.

The staff were wonderful and always very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is very old (and a bit gross in places). There is mold in the shower and the room just looks dingy. The bed itself is extremely uncomfortable and you can hear every footstep above you/in the hall. Also, the bedding has a bunch of stains and spots… I would recommend shopping around, but staying here wasn’t a nightmare or anything.

I stayed here because of its proximity to the airport, after landing at the airport late at night. This hotel could use a lot of work. The property is laid out nicely, and the lobby and restaurant were clean, but the rooms need a lot of work. The first room had a very noisy heater, and we asked to be moved. We were put in a different room, and that room had no thermostat control on the wall (although guests are asked to use that), and when I called down to the desk, I was told to just use the window unit controls. This unit was also loud, but was able to sleep. The bed was comfortable, but the room lacked any chairs, or luggage rack, had damage to the doors, walls and curtains, and we had trouble getting our door open to our room, initially. Also, the second floor hallways had a horrible smell. The breakfast was good and the waitress was friendly. I've stayed in many Holiday Inns, but I'm surprised that Holiday Inn allows this particular property to operate in its current condition under its name. This was the worst HI I've ever stayed in. I won't stay at this particular property again.
