    The doctors are amazing, but the front desk staff and people answering the phones are horrible. They disvalue you and your child's care. This place would be so much better if they hired professionals with customer service skills. If you call, be prepared to be talked down to and devalued. They treat you and your child's needs last to their own insecurities and entitlement. The doctors need to seriously rethink their front desk staff. By the way, if you don't speak Spanish you will be treated even worse.

    They got us in right away after an emergency eye injury, even though they were going to close soon. I knew they squeezed us in, but I still felt that the exam was thorough and we were SO pleased with Dr. Goldblum's expertise. I have no doubt that my child's quick recovery is due to being seen so fast after the injury occurred. THANK YOU!!!

    Been coming here for 8+ years. When a specialist was NEEDED Dr. Todd Goldblum was right on top of it and straight to work for serious issues that could have resulted in a lost eye/vision. For regular exams Dr Hitchcock is very friendly and has great demeanor with my children. We Need more offices like this

    This was my first eye exam, and nobody gave me advice about how to protect my dilated eyes afterwards or what care to take. I didn’t learn that till the next day, and now my eyes feel strained. I was given very brief info about my test results and sent onward. I’m going to look for another eye doctor.

    This place my goodness where to start First off we were referred by our eye doctor to go here to see a specific specialist for my son. They called me and set up the appt with that specialist. Due to covid I dont mind waiting so taking 30 mins to get in to see a tech now big deal. The tech who introduced himself as the specialist tech was amazing btw. Anyway we that wait another 30 on the room that was odd they door knocks and a woman walks in a different doctor in the office and I ask why in seeing her and not the specialist in was referred too. Instead of telling the truth she looks away says your appt is with me i can see if the other doctors not busy. At that point my son is getting restless from waiting so I said its fine youre here how can you help. Now another back story we just got my 6 year old autistic son new glasses last week at our main eye doctor so he is current and good to go. This (not the specialist in was referred to see) tried selling us in doing and entire new eye check appointment and proceed to tell me my sons eye condition we were there for was normal. Needless to say we are going to see a different specialist somewhere else and my eye doctor will NEVER be referring her clients to this office. I should've listened to the reviews. I will NEVER EVER GO BACK HERE. I will also be filing a better business bureau complaint. Be warned people BE WARNED

    The providers and staff at this office are amazing. Everyone is super friendly, and very helpful. My family and I have been going to this office for 23 years and would never go anywhere else. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to this office.

    Today was my daughter's eye appointment. After having a awful experience at another facility I did my research and found family eye care tailored for pediatric eye care. We were greated friendly informed where to be seated when we would called up and what to expect. My daughter received excellent care from nurse who brought her back so kind and gentle. The ladies in optical were amazing and so supportive Dr.Becca was an absolutely gem! I am so glad we found you guys you made this whole transition easier. Thank you everyone at family eye care!

    Financial dept is not easy to work with for working families. Had a large bill for my son after insurance, and they refused to set up payments. Unfortunately the bill was too large to pay at once. There’s not an easy online payment option and they rarely answer phone calls so you can pay bills. So if you work during business hours good luck being able to pay on time. After slowly making payments they sent me to collections yet were still sending me bills in the mail. When I called to finally pay the whole thing off the price was much higher, but I assumed it was my mistake and the finance person did not tell me they charged me an extra $114 to remove the bill from collections. Now that they sent a receipt in the mail I finally saw why bill so much higher. Unfortunately this is the only pediatric ophthalmologist in Albuquerque. So if you don’t have Medicaid watch your bills carefully.

    I was a little nervous bringing my daughter here based off previous reviews. However, my daughter's pediatrician spoke highly of Dr. Goldblum and this is where the referral was sent. I was happy with everything involved in the appointment. They were clean and made sure everything was properly sanitized at all times. Check in was quick and even though there were a few patients there, we were seen at our appointment time. The assistant was friendly and personable. We had to wait the normal 30 minutes after her eyes were dilated, but that's expected at any eye appointment. My daughter is only 20 months old and was a little scared, but everyone was friendly and patient with her. I would recommend Dr. Goldblum and this eye care center to anyone with young children.

    We had an appointment today we waited a hole month 1/2 took my lil Dog 🐕 we just got her to be a service dog the big lady was Rude she sits on the right side when you walk in she asked for paper's I I didn't bring them I forgot she went up to me she said I talked to the technician & said we have to reschedule very unprofessional I won't ever come back here the owner needs to talk to her about how she talks & acts towards clients im the reason she gets paid out of my pocket or government help

    Gabrielle has such an amazing energy - perfect for working on diagnosing children's eye issues. Dr. Goldblum quick and professional- he diagnosed my son quickly. Wait times are reasonable. All staff great! Thanks to all the staff for all their help! Keep up the good work! 👏 :)

    My son was given his exam by Gabrielle for his very first exam. I just have to say WOW!!! It’s not often that you get this kind of customer service anymore. She was so so great, very child friendly and made our experience the absolute best. The whole time I was just thinking to myself gosh they got a good one when there hired her, she works really well with children and families. Thank you for taking your time and being intentional. Thank you for making his first exam so perfect.

    Brought our baby in for a preventive exam and had a great experience! We were first seen by Salvador, who was knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Leenheer came in promptly after and was so friendly with adults and our baby alike and was able to assess him by captivating his interests with all sorts of fun toys with bright lights. She was able to prevent unnecessary procedures and tests and his eye health is “looking” great! We will return for any pediatric ophthalmology needs in the future. We are so lucky to have them as a resource right here in Albuquerque!

    I waited for 5 months for my kids appointment. I had to reschedule the day before trying to see if I can get in another day. My kids can’t see the board school just started. And they told me I have to wait till February. This is the second time they have done this. All the receptionist are rude here. My daughter has been going here cause she got a stye and that’s how we found this place. She lost her glasses they gave us a hard time about getting another pair since her prescription is expired in a month by won’t give us an appointment till February. I am so irritated that they are so rude and will not replace my daughters glasses but won’t see us for over 5 months from Now. My son needs glasses as well and they don’t care to call me I asked if there were cancellations please and she said no they don’t do that if someone cancels I can’t take the spot.

    This was the first time I’ve ever gone to this office and was impressed with it. My tech was Gabrielle and she was obviously very competent and on top of the testing and recording of the results, besides being very personable. I would definitely go back to this office and appreciated Dr. Hickox’s review of the results and more thorough exam than I’ve had to date.

    They were nice to my 3yr old for the most part. The wait time was ridiculously long, they were not very informative and they did not explain what they were doing before they did it so im left with confusion and still dont know whats wrong with my sons eye other than he doesn't need glasses. Of course i didnt take him to the eye doctor to see if he needed glasses i took him to see if they could tell if there was any damage to his eye due to the fact he constantly rubs it and blinks it.

    Front desk staff was not pleasant. Even though it was almost 100° outside, one of the ladies at the front told me that my grandmother had to wait outside and could not wait in the waiting area. She's almost 80! Show some empathy Family Eye Care! Very disgusted with this place

    I was recently seen here, I’ve been coming my whole life but was now transferred to the adult side since I’m 19. Everyone was very nice, especially Gabrielle. She worked so efficiently and always with a smile on her face. She did her best to make everything fun and comfortable. Also, I was in and out in 50mins which is rare nowadays. I enjoyed my most recent experience here.

    I have been taking my daughter here since she was three and she is now six. The staff, including Dr. Todd Goldblum, are very knowledgeable and efficient. They are on time for appointments and are quick with their evaluations, which is important with a wiggly young child. This last appointment we had a new assistant, Gabrielle, and she was so friendly and sweet. She really got my daughter to come out of her shell and participate in all different parts of the examination. I am so thankful for the team here!

    DO NOT USE THIS Family Eye Care on Mulberry This office made a mistake on my families prescription. We took our prescription to get glasses and had to return them. I asked for them to take care of it. They said they have an appointment available in 6months to correct their mistake then proceeded to tell me I’ll be paying for the visit since the appointment is one month away from his 1yr visit covered by insurance. There shouldn’t be a charge for a mistake they made with the prescription. They should do a re exam in a timely manner. That simple. Front desk ladies are rude as stated by others.

    My kids have been going to to Dr. Goldblum for serval years as we recently missed an appointments after not receiving a notification from the office . I received a letter stating that my children can no longer receive treatment form this facility. Its unfortunate that my kids have to build a relationship with a new ophthalmologist after their lack of follow up.
