We have purchased watches from Mati since 1999. We are usually very particular about specific limited edition makes and models and Mati has been abe to meet expectations. For the watch collector, I Highly recommend the Manager Mr. Miguel S. Jaramillo. He has gone the extra mile for us and always follows up. For example, he followed through on getting us an Omega Speedmaster Snoopy Limited edition and always spends the time with you whether you are looking at a Casio G-Schock or Patek Philippe. Highly recommend this store.

I just purchased my second Omega from Mati today and I must say, Miguel is THE GUY to go see if you are in the market for a new watch. The head of the Omega + Tissot department, was not an expert in the watches she was tasked to sell, was rude the entire time and treated us like second class citizens once she found out that we weren’t jewelers. Being in the market for a luxury watch in the coming months, Mati left a sour taste in my mouth with regards to Omega, Oris, and Tissot. Unless you’re dressed like royalty and make your wealth known, don’t expect to be treated with respect.

My wife and I purchased her wedding ring at Mati by Kabana Jewelers two summers ago. Mati’s selection of jewelry is unmatched in New Mexico, and each piece tells a story that’s bound to connect with customers in search for just the right creation. Around 1997-98 my Wife bought a beautiful Bracelet that I had seen on the cover of a magazine that was in our hotel. It is a Silver with 5, 14K running horses. We are from Alaska but my Wife is from NM so she travels often to see family. I fell in love with this bracelet , I only remove it for X-rays etc. I had caught the tail of one of the horses about 13-14 years later and she took it with her and they replaced the entire horse ,re-blacked the silver background and made it look new!, I don't even remember them Charging for it! Now it will be 25 years and I still love it, it has received more compliments than I can count ! I am sending it with my wife next week when she goes to visit family to have it polished and anything they think it needs. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do the work. The week after we bought it I met the Mom of the salesman while in line at ABQ Horse Track, she was walking behind us and commented on the bracelet and she had one also, got to love that! In 25 years this will be the longest it has been off my right wrist.

I just had occasion to visit this fine establishment for a minor watch adjustment. I was received by the staff, particularly Miguel and Chris, as if I had just made a million dollar purchase. Both were genuinely personable, knowledgeable and warm. I had a exceedingly pleasant visit out of proportion to such a minor repair. The next time I'm in the market for another Omega, I will not shop anywhere else. Exceeded expectations.

My husband and I first became acquainted with Mati Jewelers and Phyllis Larouge in 2012 when Phyllis assisted us with our purchase of my engagement and wedding rings. We were impressed with her knowledge of precious stones and her creativity. The Kabana design of my wedding set is both timeless and unique, and of impeccable quality. Over the years we have continued to work with Phyllis. I have spent many happy hours at the Uptown Mati location talking with her about jewelry and life. Phyllis is a joy to work with. I can't believe that this is supposeably one of the best jeweles in Albuquerque the Company is only strong enough to handle returns 30 days after sings of a weak company and service is something they need to work on my dad got me $1,687.00 doller watch Tissot, but he bought it two years ago, my dad dose pretty well for him self so he bought it brand new and put it in his safe and decited to give it to me this December well i didnt like it he told me he bought it from a great company dont worry he is sure they will make happy well they basically ruined everything for me I took my girlfriend thinking that these people would be vary helpful and no I am so embarrassed please don't buy gifts here only if you shop for number 1 that's the mind set at this company They closed a couple stores too maybe just going out of business that's why they are so hard to deal with on return policy.

I tasked Mikaela with a very hard task to accomplish. I asked her to find the original mold for a ring that was my absolute favorite and I felt so lost without it. It was originally purchased in The Florida keys around 1989. She was able to locate the mold and had one made for me. Much to my delight!!!! Mikaela was very personable and friendly and went out of her way for me. I am now the owner of my angle fish ring and loving every second of it. And I promise I will not lose this one 🥰

I never thought I would browse a boutique like this, but I went anyway expecting to be treated like a ruffian and dismissed with little fuss. I was instead given center stage, and treated like a person well beyond my own means. The ladies made me feel almost like a celebrity, patiently answering any and all questions with aplomb. After over an hour of indecisiveness, I finally broke down and made a purchase, the first of this kind I never thought I would make. Friendly, knowledgeable, personable and reassuring, I could not have felt more welcomed and valued as a customer. I cannot recommend Mati highly enough. My purchase was not insubstantial, but I walked out feeling like a million bucks, and not simply because of the bespoke watch on my wrist.

Phyllis Larouge has been our jeweler (and now friend) for some years now. She is extremely knowledgeable and so helpful! Matì has the most beautiful jewelry we've ever seen as well. Highly recommend!

Mati's jewelry is lovely! I have purchased several pieces from them and love each one.

CAUTION have all jewelry checked prior to purchase by a reputable jeweler. I purchased my wedding ring 3 years ago. I am now working on getting a divorce and have gone to over 5 jewelers in Albuquerque who have verified that the center stone in my ring is not 1.10 ctw but less than .65 ctw. When I went into Mati and brought this to their attention they stated that there was no way that could be true. I have now been contacted by two of the managers and it was in fact true, Mati sold a $10,990 Hearts on Fire engagement ring and this ring is not even worth a 1/4 of that. We are in contact with the Attorney Generals Office, we have a claim into the BBB and we have contacted channel 7 news. Since finding out that my ring was not what they said it was, we have found out that this is common for Mati. They have had to pay back customers in full because they are selling diamonds and not giving the correct certificates. If you shop here beware of the risk you are taking. If you have a diamond from here, go get it checked, I hope you did not get sold a fake diamond.

I now live in AZ and had sent in my pendant for repair. She was extremely helpful in heling me define which stone and even helped me with selection for an additional piece . Bought a Tag Heuer watch that turned out to be factory defective. Mati Uptown sent it back to repair every time as needed until Tag finally agreed to replace out the timer within warranty and everything's been fine since. Good job.

My wife is a big fan of Mati jewelry so with a birthday coming up I called Mati (we are about 2,500 miles from ABQ). I was looking for a specific piece and much to my dismay it was not in stock. That's when Mati really stepped up! I only had about 12 days before I needed it but Roberto ( my sales associate) said they could have the factory make it and get it to me on time. The jewelry arrived one day earlier than planned and it is awesome. It was very nicely gift wrapped and also included a jar of locally made raspberry jam. I generally have a bit of reservation when special ordering an item from a store that I have not been into and from folks I haven't met. But any concern here was unwarranted. Roberto (whom I highly recommend) worked with his manager to price the item and he kept me informed of its progress while at the factory. I could not be more pleased with my purchase and highly recommend Mati Jewelry.

I’m usually not the reviewing type but I just wanted to say this place is awesome! I was in ABQ for work and thought I’d go kill some time. I’ll admit I’m a total watch nerd and have read so much on HODINKEE and other sites about Pateks but being from Idaho I had never seen one in person. As somebody that in this lifetime will probably never be able to afford a Patek, I still wanted to visit Mati to check them out. I was nervous to go in since I knew I wouldn’t be purchasing but just wanted to look. Right when I came in Miguel welcomed me in and asked what brought me in to the store. I admitted I’m a watch nerd and was curious to see a Patek. It was awesome! Miguel spent probably a half hour with me educating and showing me different Pateks they have. After that, he even went through some of the other brands they carry. It was so interesting to see they carry everything from $150 gshocks to $85,000 Pateks. Thank you Miguel for taking the time with me, it made for a great experience and I hope that you can check the box on your bucket list and get a Patek:) When I’m in the market for my next watch, I’d love to purchase from Mati.
