i been there two three times . there showers always dirty i can’t even stand there.. and most important thing they want me to wear mask during workout i don’t have problem with that. but can somebody told them those dirty showers gonna spread more germs 🦠… if management seeing my review plz ask there employees to clean mens room.

Was sitting outside in the parking lot to get morning sunlight for 5 minutes (literally, I set a timer!) before going in for cardio since I'm changing my sleep schedule & morning sunlight & cardio regulates melatonin. Instead of coming out to talk to me, one of the pf employees apparently watched me from inside for a while? By the time my timer went off and I went to go inside, she and another pf employee are standing in front of the door to stop me. She immediately started yelling at me about her car, which I had apparently been next to. I quickly explained that I have no interest in her car whatsoever, that I understood her concern, and explained what I was actually doing. She insisted I listen to her contiue to yell no new information over what was truly just 5 minutes despite my explanation...eventually got to move past her and go on with my morning routine once she felt better. Super emotional, unprofessional, stressful, and loud. Yikes! Really unpleasant and surprising. I can totally understand why she was concerned, and I do feel for her (I may have been a bit concerned too!), but it doesn't need to escalate to so much yelling. If you're that worried... get some antitheft gear, walk out there with some male coworkers, use the keyfob if you have one to set the alarm off...Being concerned does not justify yelling at someone. It justifies speaking to them like a normal person, in a calm voice to express your concern like her male coworker did. Very little communication was actually needed, and I am not here to be your emotional punching bag. Even if I were a car theif, would yelling at me really help? It's an OK gym overall (really not as nice as most other pfs I've been to, but it does the job), but this is not the first time I've run into issues with professionalism (different employees sharing contradictory information about membership options, etc.)

The place wasn't very busy. At first glance I thought everything was fine until I went into the women's locker room. The handicap stall was out of toilet paper. The showers were by far the worst I've seen in any planet fitness. Things stuck to the curtains. Dirt and piles of hair on the floor. I was afraid to touch anything even the blow dryers were dirty. Things like rubber bands in the showers. Even the walls had stuff on them. After seeing all that I definitely didn't want to touch the equipment.

Loud club-like music. Weekends are the worst. They tried to get my checking and routing number at signup. Staff seem agist. When I signed up the employee was impatient with me and rattled off a user name and password so he didn't have to spend precious time waiting for me to receive the confirmation email. It was not busy, I didn't feel very welcome there, and I still don't.

Looks unassuming on the outside, but the installations are very good. Lots of space and lots of equipment

I have been going to PF for 3 years. I have tried several other locations and this is my favorite. It's clean, the staff is always friendly and the parking lot is safer compared to other locations. They follow social distancing criteria and all types of equipment can be accessed.

I usually like this location, but today, Miguel was less than friendly, less than helpful so I had to drive to another location. Maybe he should clean showers instead of work with the public....

Everything is cool, its a good gym...until something goes wrong and you have to talk to Tawni, the manager and then you're screwed. The gyms are independent franchises and can do and act however they want, I guess. There are gyms in town the same price, some commitment, only with hot tubs n pools... and better management. Don't give these people your bank info.

I have a charge dispute and I was provided an invalid email to contact their supervisors for this location. This gym has been closed during the Pandemic and I was not notified when they would charge me the yearly fee before they were scheduled to charge me the fee and the Gym was closed so I was not able to go cancel my account then. Furthermore; people attending the gym now are not following the mandated order by this state to use a face-mask and the gym is not enforcing it. They are doing whatever they want with everybody's accounts without people having agreed to it and you are not able to get a hold of anybody that can help. I'll never go back to a Planet Fitness. They're the shadiest gym I've ever gone to. I rather support local businesses and have an actual person I can talk to about whatever issue comes up and be able to come to an agreement. for planet fitness you are nothing but an account. Can't even get a hold of their incompetent customer service. Their facilities are ran by kids so good luck not getting COVID.

Coming to this location again? Yeah that’s gonna be a no for me! Toni or tonya or whatever her name is, the GM... what a STANK attitude. Made my whole experience blah. How she got appointed to that position, baffles me. But whatever.. will not be returning.. strictly because of her. Thanks

I have been to 4 or 5 planet fitness in Albuquerque and this one is my favorite by far, It's spacious and has a good vibe with easy access off the 40 and ample parking with a friendly staff this is the one.

I am 59 years old and have been a planet fitness member for over 10 years. I have also been a member of other fitness clubs over the years that existed in Albuquerque. In my opinion planet fitness is the best fitness club for the value and the quality of equipment that you are able to use in a gym membership. I really appreciate that planet fitness never raises your membership fees once you join. Other gyms around Albuquerque will constantly raise their membership fees which makes it less affordable to stay in good health. My home gym is Menaul and Carlisle and the staff has always been very courteous and respectful for the clientele they serve. You will always receive a greeting entering and of course the have a nice day when you are leaving. The newest managers Kano and Colton are fantastic managers. They both will strive to meet your needs and if you have any concerns they are both there to answer any questions and make your workout experience beneficial to you and others in the gym. Overall if you want a clean, great gym equipment that is maintenance well and a positive environment to stay in good health then I highly recommend Planet Fitness!

Normally this place is fine--gets the job done and staff are friendly. However, I showed up to work out today (Sunday) at 7:15am and the place was closed and lots of people were waiting in the parking lot. Your hours start at 7am...very inconvenient!

Albuquerque's PF is fine, large, but the locker room showers stalls had torn curtains, and one was out of order.

We were traveling and had the chance to visit on a Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and most of the machines and equipment seemed to be in good working order. But the locker rooms, in particular, were not clean. I know for sure that dirt and debris on the floors on Tues. evening were still there Weds. morning. There was also only one functional shower stall (other than the handicap one) and it wasn't particularly clean. If this were my home club I would be disappointed.

This is definitely one of ABQ's more updated Planet Fitness locations. The staff is friendly. The machines are clean. Everybody wears a mask. It's tremendous. My only note is that the machines are pretty close to one another, which makes me a little nervous when the place gets busy. At the end of the day, however, this is a great location to work out at. Keep up the great work PF!

Good gym. Some of the equipment is older or breaks and takes a while to replace. We have had cases of them opening later than posted because a worker is late waking up.

My co-workers and I go daily to this gym for our lunch break. The staff on duty are always so kind and friendly.

The front desk the black girl and the homei on relationship why the clients need to deal with there sexuality behavior. Regardless, no respect for anyone sitting on desk all time. And that new guy with beard correct your behavior when you talk to people I hate this gym employee.

Normally this place is pretty full around this time but i still get a good workout in regardless. Today the place was completely closed with forklifts and large waste containers surrounding the parking lot. Seems like none of us got the memo that they are closed up.

If I could give him zero I would. Today, November 28, 2023 at the Menaul and Carlisle location, the person in front was rude and despotic!! He didn't allow us entry... it's not my fault that he was having a bad day and treated me the way he did. I have been attending this location for 4 months and this person treated me badly and kicked me out of the place. Starting today I am canceling my membership with Planet Fitness. It had been a pleasure to be there, but after today because this man treated me so rudely, I am canceling my membership!! I wish they could change that man because it is unpleasant to talk to someone like that when you are just going to exercise and you are paying for that!! I'm sorry Planet Fitness but the staff you have doesn't help you at all!!! A pleasure to have been there before!!!

Love it that they threw away about 10 tanning beds in the dumpster. So I was able to make close to $500 scrapping them for aluminum I love planet fitness

I love that they have more machines. But the turn off: it’s too hot, hardly no fans on and no circulation. Someone could seriously get hurt from the heat and dehydration. The fans are not working on the machines also.

I like this gym please just clean the men's showers. I'm pretty sure I just caught something walking by. Loogie sitting on the floor. Hair everywhere, brown mildew in the cracks. Like spray it with bleach and burn it every morning mid day and night. Everything else is spot on.

The locations in the hydro massage are great asset to Planet Fitness. The location on 4th Street Northwest has the best equipment by far.

Still a good place but long overdue for an upgrade as I was there in April 2022. Last time was March 2020. But as I'm back I'm surprised the gym is still using Cybex treadmills and some of them the inclines are still broken.

This is been my home gym for the past 10 years. I have seen a lot of changes, but Daniel does a great job. Managing this location. He has a great front desk person whose name is. Ricky "the lunk" Leon. And the rest of the staff is very professional and welcoming.

Very disappointed with this location. They got rid of all the arc trainer machines which is like a treadmill and elliptical combined. Now instead of having any arc trainers, they have 30 elliptical machines. How about giving us some options. The lockers in the Men's locker room need to fixed. Half of them don't lock.

The space is well cleaned, spacious and all the customers respect you. The bathrooms (I can talk for the ladies) is very clean, there's lockers and showes. They don't provide towels though (as far as I know) All the machinery is pretty new and in amazing conditions.

I have been treated good here and it's clean and everyone cleans up after they use a machine or weights love the massage chair also for after I'm done working out.i recommend getting the black membership not expensive and you can always bring a friend for free also.

This is one of the better locations. All machines in working order, no trainers claiming benches and machines and not using them for half an hour. Bathrooms are clean.

THE MOST AWESOME GYM IN MY TOWN AND OPEN 24 HRS ,SO I CAN FIT MY WORKOUT AROUND MY BUSY SCHEDULE, WITHOUT EVER HAVING AN EXCUSE TO MISS A WORKOUT EVER !

I’m a black card member recently visited this location to workout while on a cross country trip. While the staffs were friendly the men’s bathroom and the men’s shower area were not up to standard when compared to other locations.

It's a nice big place that's good for just getting back into shape. Plus they have the hydromassage which is what makes me take my lazy self in there 😂

Decent to say the least. It doesn't have a 360 functional training area. They have more than enough smith machines, but the people here use the machines for way too long without any consideration for people who are waiting. I've seen people spend over an hour on a smith machine, and that is being selfish. Sometimes, they are there talking with friends for more than 20 minutes at a time without exercising. This is ridiculous! It's a gym, not a social gathering. If you can't train and talk then try to consider the other people there who are waiting for the machines because it's unfair. I know people don't want to hear it, but it's the truth, people!

Not as nice a location as those I’m used to but better than others I’ve been to in the area. I stopped by while traveling. If you’re not familiar with the area, this location is easy to miss. I was looking for the illuminated PF signs at most other locations or the standard purple, black, and yellow - neither were here so had to u-turn. The interior is long and narrow. The machines are crammed tight next to each other and most of the free weights and racks were occupied around 7:45pm. There was decent space on the cardio machines. Some equipment was either out of order or about to be - loose/wobbly seats and handles. The staff was friendly enough. I may try to visit a couple other locations nearby, but overall satisfied with my trip.

Equipment not like the other planet fitness ,staff does not have the knowledge and customer service a gym should have and many cardio machines this place is cramped with old stuff !

Everything is machine based workouts besides the dumbbells and weight balls. You pay 10 dallors a month so can't complain. Its a great starter gym.

I do exercises in this place for more than 4 years and until now I have not had any problem. The workers are very nice and the equipment is kept clean and new. But I had an incident of a robbery in the parking lots. To more than one person including me, our cars were opened breaking the doors looking for something to steal inside. Only more security would be needed in the parking lots.

I was not aware that the state or federal government had changed policy regarding the wearing of masks at all times. Is there not one doctor in the entire US with the balls to stand up and declare the pointlessness of this mandate?

Very nice planet fitness location, it is very clean and the employees are nice. I have never been to a Planet Fitness where there is not a sectioned off side for Black Card members. This means that the massage chairs had their own individual rooms off to the side and the tanning area as well. Overall it isn’t so bad, it’s not busy here at all around 7 so that works for me. The bathrooms are very clean and the showers as well.

Love social fitnessing. The staff is doing a great job keeping us safe.

Iv been going to planet fitness for a couple years now and never had any problems . But last night we were approached very rudley by an employee , and told we were going to have to leave if my mask kept falling. I quickly adjusted it and continued my work out, 20 minutes later were were approached by the so called manager and asked to leave for no apparent reason other then the employee said he or she was offended. We explained that everything was already settled. Never have I seen such rude and incompetent service. I pay to workout there not to be accausted and spoken too so rudley. Management needs training badly

Employees are not enforcing public health order. What are members paying for if employees would rather socialize than enforce mask wearing?

Great place to get a good cardio and decent strength training in. Not enough weights for the serious lifters, but enough that you can reasonably work out. I go at 11 and there aren't many people there, although I could see how it could get crowded.
