Hot dang! Johnny Carrol can really make you look amazing AND imbue some character at the same time. He employs (and walks you through) some really great tactics to make sure you look fantastic in your final shots. Professional, charismatic and disarming in a good way. Could not recommend more highly. 10/10

Johnny Carroll of Albuquerque Headshot & Portrait was hired to take professional headshots of our employees for a project that included senior leadership. During his interview for this assignment, Johnny came across very relaxed and personable, while still being professional. We were pleased that he was able to accommodate the photo sessions onsite at our Headquarters in Albuquerque. Johnny came prepared with just about everything he needed even though we were able to provide a media room. He even traveled to our TNMP Headquarters in Texas, for photos sessions there. He did a stellar job interacting with our employees during their photo sessions. We received great feedback about Johnny’s ability to make those sitting for him feel comfortable, as well, we received fantastic responses to the final photos, such as: “I was pleasantly surprised that I was pleased with my pics…lol”; “I thought he did a great job.”; and “Thank you! Man, I look good.” Johnny’s prices were reasonable and he was easy to work with. We will continue to call Johnny whenever we need professional headshots for our employees. I hesitated to do headshots because I am very awkward in front of a camera, but Johnny reassured me that he'd do all the hard work - and he did! Johnny quickly puts his subject at ease and creates the right atmosphere for close up photography. He elicits what you want--not what he prefers. No forced smiles( if that's not your natural style). Technically, he delivers.A polished, natural look without "over" photoshopping. Recommend him.

I have had photos taken by Johnny of ABQ Headshot and Portait three times now for headshots, portraits, and promotional character portraits for a film. Johnny is one of the kindest and most genuine humans and is truly a talented photographer. His in-home studio is gorgeous and the end results have always been beyond expectation. As someone who always struggles with posing and expression, he pays mindful attention to each photo and gives specific tips to help capture flattering facial position, body posture, and expression. He is super chill and creates a comfortable environment. Some of my favorite pictures of myself have been captured by Johnny. Definitely recommend!

AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Johnny displayed the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. The actual photo session was legitimately fun. He has very good techniques to capture a legitimate smile. The hardest part is selecting the few pictures out of the dozens he captures. Luckily he helps this process by utilizing his unique perspective and providing honest feedback. The final product he produces is far beyond my expectations.
