I have been an established patient at this clinic for 10 years. I was just told that their appointment calendar was frozen for the next two months and that I cannot make an appointment a this time. They are never able to schedule an appointment 6 months out so I have to remember to call a couple of months in advance to get my appointment. I had to explain that I needed an appointment and that I have several areas of concern that needed to be looked at. Since I have had 9 skin cancers over the years, I expected that they would take me seriously and schedule me but was told that I couldn't get anything for at least two months or until the calendar was "unfrozen" whatever that means. After explaining that I had possible cancers that needed examining, I finally got an appointment 10/27 due to a cancellation. I was told to keep calling to find out when the calendar will open up so that I might get something sooner. I've never had this experience at the UNM Derm clinic before as they are usually very responsible and professional. The care I receive there has always been exceptional but appointment making is more difficult than it should be.

Whoever answers the phone obviously doesn't like their job. Wouldn't let me finish my sentence and didn't even respond to what I said. At least she scheduled an urgent appointment sooner than 5 months out.

I don’t typically leave reviews however my last visit here with Dr. Anil Shetty was so displeasant. I waited over an hour due to a snow delay only for him to come into the room to talk over me, try to belittle me infront of my children and for him not to see my child ,suggesting I see a different specialist. As soon as he walked in he felt agitated or frustrated which me nor my children were at fault. I had to ask him to lower his voice and stop being rude which to he then apologized stating he had been having a “long day”. Mind you this is at 10:00 AM!! He proceeded to offer to refer my child to a different specialist, after he had already done ONE surgerical procedure. The outcome of the last procedure was not what he initially thought and did not heal like he thought which I made him aware of which is what triggered him.He proceeded to inform me that he has worked doing the same thing for 30 years , that there was no way he could have mistaken or lied. I am completely shocked and disgusted by his attitude and way of talking to another person especially infront of children. He is very unprofessional, I will NEVER recommend him! If you need care for yourself or a child look for a different provider.

Terrible experience. They don't really listen to your symptoms. They also signed me up for wrong test and said I heard wrong. Not welcoming or try to ease your anxiety. Doctor doesn't like to repeat herself if you don't understand the first time anything is explained. One set if Medical Students were very good and the next one on different visit was so rushed and rude...I guess my situation was a 'boring case'. Just awful.

Terrible place…. You walk in and they just want to diagnose you in less than a minute instead of really caring about what you have to say!! Then they proceeded to send me a huge bill after not fixing the issue they were suppose too… They just want to prescribe something and get us out of their hair as soon as possible. Would not recommend

It’s been really hard to schedule an appointment with all the backup lately but Kimberly in the scheduling department was so insanely kind and helpful, she even remembered me by name which meant a lot to me. She took the time out of her day to speak to a supervisor regarding my referral to try and find a solution and that was so much more than what i could have asked for. i appreciate the kindness and personability from the employees i’ve come into contact with at this clinic. 10/10!!!!

My child was transfered here with an issue on the left side of her face that she's been taking medication for. When the resident came in to look at it, she insisted it was on the right then stated she only notices slight swelling on the right. I told her multiple it was the left. Then the doctor came in with the resident later on, the doctor then stated it was on the right. I just got to my car and looked back at the files and photos and it was def. On the Left. I was shocked at the attitude of the resident totally disregarding me insisting she was right and the fact that the doctor said she didn't see swelling at all on either side. So did the resident just say she saw swelling on the right to try and prove a point? Advocate for your children people.

Really wish I read the reviews of this place before I went in. This was probably one of the worst clinical experiences I've ever had and a big waste of time and money. I waited about 2 months for my appointment. When I finally had it, I felt like my concerns weren't addressed at all. I came with a variety of questions about a lot of issues and was given no options for treatment, despite their website listing a variety of treatments that they provide. One reason for my visit was to get acne scars treated, only to be told that I don't have acne scars, which was really bizarre. The doctors here genuinely didn't listen to me or my concerns, and prescribed a medication that doesn't even really address my issue. I bet you could probably go just about anywhere in town and get a better experience. Doctors Park and Durkin both succeeded in being dismissive and unhelpful, and Dr. Park was exceptionally rude.

I had an appointment about 7 wks ago. I dont believe they did a thorough examination at that time. Its seems they and all the other Dermatologist in Albuquerque simply want to walk in, do a visual exam from 6 ft, then from their infinite wisdom write some prescriptions for creams or maybe antibiotics. How can they possibly get a correct diagnosis when the spend five minutes with you.

Dr. Holguín Is Absolutely Amazing! She shows such compassion and empathy to her patients. I just love her. Now the staff are Awesome!!! They always make you feel comfortable.

Awful phone service, did not help me in any way to get a basic appointment and consultation scheduled. Could not even point me in a direction where I could do so. Would stay away from this business.

Friendly, efficient staff and Dr. Altman is a rock star! I feel so much better!

Staff is always nice and never had any issues and they are so helpful with my son
