B E W A R E…Please LOOK for the question on the 17 pages application, “HAVE YOU EVER BEEN PSYCHIATRICALLY HOSPITALIZED?” towards the back of pages on a lower righthand side!! The “YES” BOX is AUTOMATICALLY “clearly checked” with a TYPED IN “X.” There is an empty “No” box over to right. No other questions pertaining. Three front office girls and Office Mgr. ALL denied EVER seeing this, EVER! Really? Why is it there I asked? Why, especially when given the fresh packet you’re told to be very thorough in FILLING IT OUT!! NO office personal could delete that “X” in the “Yes” box on their computers as they tried and when printed up that fresh page with that question, again WAS STILL THERE. It is OBVIOUSLY in their pre-registered part of their computer’s database program. WHY?? Why would they have THIS? This is incredibly unethical, illegal, outrageous, highly and critically damaging for everyone’s Personal Medical Records. THEY ALL denied they’ve EVER seen this with ALL the multiple applications they print out, deliver online, fax, etc?? And, never seen while they’re scanning the filled out applications into their database files with YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS??!! Authorities are notified. This is a blatant, shocking, immoral discredit for THEM ESPECIALLY as a Medical Facility!! This is for ALL Health Providers and Patients to be VERY aware of before considering ANY referrals and care from them. HUGE “RED FLAG” for Legal and Medical Ethics Agencies!!

1st appointment today. Miles of paper work I didn’t expect but the normal doctor office stuff. Beautiful clean bright offices, staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly, everyone was cheerful and it was obvious they were enjoying their work.. I was so happy to finally find a pain clinic like this instead of the ones that make you feel dirty and ugly when you walk in! Doctor and his staff were very professional and went about there duties very professionally while maintaining a smile and a giggle to make an old miserable man feel like i was among friends! I’m happy with the entire experience from walking in the door to walking out when finished, it could change in the future but I’m extremely happy with the whole experience, I’d give em a gillion gold stars if I could but guess I gotta stop at 5

This was the most AMAZING exp ever . I walked in and was greeted by all of the workers at the front desk . They didn’t treat me like a drug seeker. They treated me with the upmost respect . Extremely clean facility and Dr. Rumba was so nice and gave me so much information to help me . I will stay with this facility forever. Thank you for having a professional facility for people who have legitimate pain and are willing to help you . I’m so excited .

My primary care physician retired 4 years ago, and I spent 8 months looking for a doctor that could deal with my medications for a damaged spine and hip. I found a clinic that kept having doctors leave, so I was passed around to 5 doctors in 3 years. Again, finding a new doctor was traumatic, until I found NM Pain Center. I was surprised how quickly they could see me! Dr Rumbaugh examined me, and immediately prescribed the medications I needed. After 30 years of severe chronic pain, it's impossible to walk, or function without medication, and I consider Dr Rumbaugh to have saved my life.

Have been a Patient At N.M.P.C. for Several Years. For the First Yr. Or So They Were Pretty Good and Listened to Your Needs for Your Constant Pain. Then They Started to Always Try to Offer Different Types of Injections Instead. Which Might Work for Some for A Short Time but I Think It's All About HOW MUCH MORE they Can Charge for Injections vs Meds. Sadly I Always Spent 30 Mins or Longer at The Front Desk Discussing How Much I Owed After Insurance 🤔 And Way Less Time with The Dr.s Addressing My Issues/Pain. Went in Today as I Had an Appointment and Was Told I Couldn't be Seen because I Forgot My Insurance Card at Home EVEN Though I Was Just Seen Here 3 Weeks Ago!!! So The Bottom Line to Them is MONEY!!! NOT Patient Care 😒 😕 I Was Also told 2 other Patients were Also Turned Away Today Because they Didn't have Their Insurance Card with Them Either!!! So WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?? I Will Now Look for An Office That Puts Patient Care 1st!! If Your Reading This I'd Suggest You Do The Same!! Sad What They're Doing and Maybe If The OWNER Sees that its Costing Her Patients... She'll Wake Up and Remember People Over Profits!!! Response to Owner: That's Not 100% Truth. As I've Had to Set up Payment Plans Several Times IN ORDER to Be Seen. Once or Twice I Was Told I Couldn't be Seen because I Didn't bring Money for a Bill I Didn't Even Know about Prior to My Appointment nor Did I Have The Info With Me THAT Day in Order to Set up a PAYMENT PLAN. When I Was Prepared I Still Spent a lot of Time at The Front Desk and Maybe 10-15 Mins with The Dr. Also was Told I Couldn't Continue to Receive The ONLY Medicine That Takes the Edge off My Pain because a Physician in Your El Paso Office Screwed Up!! So I Have to Live Daily in PAIN because HE MESSED UP???

Had radio frequency ablation on my cervical spine in May 2022. This did not relieve much neck pain, it actually caused chronic pain/ headaches in the back of my head where I never had pain before, and it still has not subsided. I think they burned a nerve in the wrong place. They never would confirm in writing which vertebrae they did. And office staff would get annoyed when I kept asking for records from the procedure. Never did get them.

This office is amazing. I called to make an appointment and was able to be seen quickly. When I showed up for my appointment I was greeted by the friendly office staff and noticed how inviting and clean it was. My wait time to be seen was minimal compared to other doctors I've been to in the past. The dr listened to every concern I had and gave me the perfect treatment plan. I'm very impressed and will be recommending this office to everyone.

My first appointment was hours of waiting and 5 minutes of explanation on how they would treat my pain with no discussion of my pain control needs but more of what they refused to do. Is there at the least one pain management clinic that actually addresses the pain?

Dr Bergsten and his staff are amazing. My pain has never been so well controlled. Also, Yolanda the phlebotomist is so gentle and had no problem getting blood from my difficult veins.

I have been under the care of Dr. Rumbaugh for 2.5 years. He has helped me with some horrendous nerve pain. Haylee is friendly and organized. I always have the medicines I need and they work with me to bypass potential insurance issue. Spectacular team!!

Dr. Rumbaugh at the NM Pain Center is the best! He's worked with my spouse for a couple of years on pain management and it's going beautifully. All the staff, especially Hailey, are super friendly and care about you and how you're doing. I can't recommend them enough!

The staff was kind and very organized. A young lady named Alyssa did a great job at my first medical exam. She was so kind and friendly. We need more people like that in the medical field!

For years, I was actually impressed with what quality of care I got here until things recently took a turn for the worse. My specialist did not renew his DEA license in time. During that time, no one would call me back to see what other doctor could refill my prescription. I called multiple times begging for help only to be ignored and neglected. I ended up switching to a methadone program because I didn't know where else to turn. You can't just have someone relying on medication for years and expect everything to be fine if they're suddenly unable to get that. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise. The relief I got from this clinic was barely cutting it anymore. Methadone is more efficient. All that being said, this clinic usually does a good job. I have recommended this place to several others. My specialist was one of the only people who seemed to ever believe me about my pain and listen to me about my concerns. I will miss working with him. The office staff were always pleasant and friendly too.

I came in to Alamogordo today with an appointment that was scheduled for Las cruces (mistakenly) and they got me completely squared away with a televisit so I didn't miss my appt. They were quick on the fly to make sure I was taken care of. Thank you! 😊

The Doctor and staff are very empathetic and professional. I have an appt this morning at a ‘new location’ in Rio Rancho and was given an address of 1000 Commercial Drive SE, Rio Rancho NM. It is in an old bank building next to Sonic and north of the movie theater.

I took my mom to this clinic for her first time and when I first walked in I got greeted by the most wonderful ladies at the front desk! From the MAs to the Doctors everyone was amazing and so helpful! If anybody needs a pain management, I would recommended coming here 100%!

Highly recommend using this clinic for any pain management issues you may have. You can't go wrong with either provider! Doctor Bergsten is wonderful! He worked with me until we found a medication that helps my migraine headaches. The other provider in office, Dr. Rumbaugh, I've seen on occasion, and he's very knowledgeable and offers options and discussion for your treatment plan which is so refreshing!! The staff is so friendly and always helpful. They go above and beyond 100% of the time.

I wouldnt give this place a star if they bought it from me but have to give them one to post my review. My advice is to find another specialist somewhere else. Its always one thing or the other with these people. Had injection procedure for daily migraines. Shots only worked one week and i was back in pain. Called them to let them know and was told i need to do an in person visit for follow up. After driving 40 miles to my “ in person follow up” i was told it was just a televisit? Had the ablasion done which lasted 2 1/2 months. Made a folllow up appointment which was suppose to be “ in person “ was called while driving to my appointment by the doc and was told it was a televisit? Doc said insurance and policy wouldnt allow me to get another ablasion procedure unless they were done 6 months apart? The doc scheduled me for more shots that only worked 1 week again. Called pain management again and scheduled an ablasion with the doc. Day of my appointment i get to the office and was told i would only be getting injections again not the ablasion. So i left pain management without getting anything done. Talked to the doc once again about getting the ablasion and he said thats what they were going to do? The next 2 phone calls with pain management involved me getting terribly frustrated because with both calls i had to argue woth them about what procedure the Doc and i had agreed upon. Final straw with this place was the fact they called me and scheduled another televist before i could have my procedure done? Right???? …… Nope was told i needed to come in for an in person visit before they would perform my procedure? Inwven explained to management at pain center in roswell that i wrote down the information i was given Dec. 1st @ 11:30am televist dr watkins??? Then the manager of the roswell office told me my insurance was the one requiring me to do an in person visit? I told her i speak to my insurance company weekly as i have a care coordinator? Then she came up with the excuse that their policy was the one requiring me to have an in person follow up. This is the worst service i have ever recieved from any business in the US period. I will never recommend this place to anyone for any reason!! i will be filing a grievence with their coporate office due to their incompetence. Inwould rarher just be in pain instead of having to worry about the stupidiry of the people trying to treat my problems? The only thing this place wants is the money from your pocket and/or insurance companies money. Ps is the inky place i know that requires a UA and/ or a blood draw at EVERY VISIT even if they havent provided you with any meds or you refuse them? Hence another ways to SCREW PEOPLE OVER JUST FOR more $$$$$ At whatever cost to you? Greed at the cost of someones past and future pain. Someone needs to put a lock on the facility doors and close them down if thats how they are going to act.

HORRID!!!!!! Front desk staff are beyond rude, procedure done resulted in pain being caused in an area I never had pain before, would not provide an appointment before 2 weeks post procedure before there staff DO NOT understand government contract insurance. Save yourself the headache and pain and find a better provider!
