Great hotel in Valencia if you want to stay near the Oceanographic and science museum. It’s located 5 blocks from the attractions, also in front of a Corte Inglés and nearby restaurants all over. Rooms: the standard room has everything you need for the cheapest price, confortable beds, nice bathroom, tv and mini bar. The only setback are the walls are paper thin and you hear a lot your neighbors. Breakfast: just used it once, it’s not worth the price. Limited choices, bad coffee as in every Meliá, bottled orange juice (in the home of oranges). Just around the corner is a place called Guapas where you can have better for one third of the price. Overall a nice stay and well located.

Brilliant stay. Very accommodating and allowed us to change rooms. Irene at reception was very helpful and made our stay as good as it could be. The whole reception team were very welcoming always smiling. Close to restaurants and the science area.

My niece and I had a Valencia city break and stayed at the Oceanic. Location is great, 2 mins walk to science museum, opera house etc and a 15 minute bus ride to the old town and 15 mins the other direction the beach! Felt really safe and some good local restaurants. Monica and Rodrigo were super helpful and couldn’t have done more. The rest of the staff are great too but these two have us some great tips. Pool is good but gets busy - we preferred the beach. Would recommend if you want somewhere that feels safe with a good buffet breakfast in a great location. Book your long weekend now!

Adrián at the Aqua Pool Bar was excellent. I've never encountered such friendly and professional service in my 40 years. He manned the bar by himself the entire day and clearly loves his job ... made our honeymoon stay extra special. 10/10 in every way!

Good hotel. We have spacious room equipped with all necessary amenities. The hotel has roof terrace with small gum and sauna, exterior swimming pool. Underground parking cost 17€ per day. Hotel is located very close to the Art and Science Museum, but few km from the city center. You can rent a bike in the hotel for easy traveling in the city. The breakfast was not included and cost 17€ per person.

Perfect location for exploring modern Valencia. Walking distance of the museums and the forum. Plenty of local eateries nearby. Staff helpful in what is often a busy tourist hotel.

As a base to get familiar with the city I could not recommend more highly. The staff have all made us feel extremely welcome and been more than kind with our poor Spanish. Breakfasts set you up for the day.

We've had a long stay of 12 days and the hotel has offered us a lot: a good location to the start of the Valencia Media Maratón, the City of Arts and Sciences on the Turia just 2 streets away, located between the Turia, with the Av de l'Albereda alongside it, the C de Menorca and the Av of França. Within walking distance to 3 commercial centres (malls): Aqua, El Corte Inglés (both opposite side of the hotel entrance) and Saler (the other side of the Turia, 7 mins walk). The new metro line 10 also next to the Saler mall, 10 mins walk and around the hotel, plenty of buses going to the city centre, the beaches towards Patacona, and the main railway stations. Surrounded by lots of restaurants of every taste: Mexican, Lebanese, Japanese, Thai, Italian... Fantastic! The staff have been helpful, from the reception, the pool bar/café to the room cleaning. Lovely! The only things we have not been happy about are: 1. the closet/drawers space - extremely limited for our long stay. 2. the pool - lovely but doesn't get the morning sun. Perhaps a roof top location for it would be better? Otherwise we have been made to feel comfortable and welcome. Thank you 👍

Rooms are nice but you can share too much with your neighboors! Breakfast is wonderful, so good with lot of choice. Lack of place to work with your colleagues with confidentiality

The hotel is OK, well situated and the staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had an awful experience with the baby crib which was actually a camping crib. The baby couldn't move (roll) as there was no solid base and cried every night. There was another family with a baby next door and they shared the same problem. Not recommendable for families with babies. This is easy to fix should the management decide to buy proper baby furniture (tip-IKEA can save the day )

Excellent stay overall. Amazing staff! Rooms: A bit outdated and mattresses definitely need a change. However, it was the one of the CLEANEST rooms I've ever stayed at. Paquita and Jennifer are super kind. Service: Excellent breakfast and food from restaurant. Soraya and Adrian were perfect hosts for breakfast and then at the bar. Rodrigo and Paula super attentive service upon arrival and departure at front desk. Thanks!

The location is perfect and there are many restaurants of differing choice in the area. The staff are amazing, friendly and helpful, especially the room service team. My issue is the finishing touches. The window is not sealed and you can hear the traffic and people noises from the street 9 floors below. The unit door did not close properly. The side unit had a large stain. The bathroom tiles have chips in them. It's little things but I expected slightly better for a 4 star hotel.

I had a great Time here. The staff were friendly and communication was easy. A soft drinks Mini bar and water in the room. Lots of options at breakfast. The pool is small but there is easy transportation to the beach and the rest of the city. There's lots to do locally, 3 shopping centres and lots of eateries. The Science museum is amazing. Just ask the staff.

I stayed at this hotel during a vacation and I can say I had an amazing experience. The rooms are big and well equipped and the bathrooms are very nice as well. The thing that stood out to me was the staff. They are very professional and attend to all of your needs. I left a pair of expensive headphones in my room and didn’t realize until I was on my flight. I contacted the hotel and they made sure to keep them safe and worked with me to setup a courier and have them shipped back to myself. I highly recommend this and hotel and would definitely return.

Terrible. Such a basic hotel. Pool is small. Food is poor. Dead fly in the cheese and waitress tutted and raised her eyebrows and huffed. Reception staff rude and grunt. Key card broke 3 times and accused us of keeping it near a phone but we didn’t. Waiter called Daniel so rude - spoke about us behind our back and then more rude when I confronted him. Bed was comfy but just a sheet to sleep under. Close to some shops but smell of drains kept coming. Food and drinks in hotel over priced. Room was not ready when we arrived at 9am. Told wouldn’t be ready until 4pm and yet still not ready. Lifts are unreliable. Hardly any sunbeds. Fake grass too hot to walk on and very uneven and a trip hazard. Bed bugs - always bitten in bed under the sheets !!! No safety around the pool. The edges are even made of wood. No life guard. So overpriced Defo not a 4 star hotel. No locks in bedroom windows. Don’t waste your time.

Very typical business hotel. It’s fine - well run. It’s not near a metro station so you have to use buses or taxis. The bus is about 20 mins by bus into the Old Town which is atmospheric and a far better choice if you’re a tourist and want to experience Valencia. I wanted a pool to relax and read by if I felt like it. Unfortunately there are not enough sun-beds around the pool which is a bit tired and overcrowded, so some people have to lie on the AstroTurf. Too many hogs leaving them empty with a towel staking their claim. If someone leaves a sun lounger for 30 mins - boot them off!

The hotel has a lovely pool area and the breakfast is very nice with plenty to choose from. The pool bar guy (Daniel) is very attentive and always smiling. Rodrigues on reception is very good but the reception ladies are a little serious. The whole decor of the hotel is of a good standard but the rooms could do with a little refurbishment. The price of drinks and food is reasonable and there are plenty of cafes in the area. Right opposite the hotel is the Supermercado Ingles which is 6 floors of shopping of all types. The air conditioning in the hotel is excellent and the sun terrace has good areas of both sun and shade.

I stayed here for a business trip. I liked that it was right next to the City of Arts and Science so that I could go for a long walk in that nice area directly from the hotel. I can really recommend the bar at the pool, the breakfast is great, too, and the room service came faster than expected. If I want to say anything I did not like I would say I would have liked more cereals for breakfast, but, yeah, not really needed though.

I was stolen at this hotel. I went to the police. The videos weren’t sent to me after I insisted over the phone to have them sent to me. I have a gut feeling that I was talking to the same employee who insisted on writing on paper my credit card and CCV ( I have pics of her taking the paper from my hands once I told her I would take a pic of it), which is the same employee I think (can’t confirm, no videos sent) who stole from me. Nothing was done. Nothing. It has been 6 months. Beware!

Pretty good and comfortable, clean hotel. Nice swimming pool area. Breakfast options were a bit lacking - could do with more generic & vegetarian choice

Daniel at the snack bar was so kind! He remembered our coffee order from the previous day and made sure we felt welcome. Thank you for your amazing hospitality Daniel!

Location is good. Pool is small and not adequate for the amount of rooms this hotel has. Breakfast was ok, nothing out of ordinary. There are signs of degradation - the hotel is not properly kept. The front desk girls are behaving like teenegers in high school - at phone and on site - kinda unprofessional. Security is zero, just a facade - anyone can enter and roam to the hotel - nobody cares.

Very good hotel, clean and with a strategic location for visiting the Oceanografic and the city of science. Beatrice's welcome in reception was impeccable and Daniel's friendliness and dedication to the customer in the restaurant, priceless. Experience to be repeated.

the hotel is modern and clean. we stopped the car for free on the street, close 300 meters from the hotel in all the days. we just need to search a place. good value for money. it’s take 40 minutes by foot to the city center. it’s very close from the the arts and science center. very close from the main park in the city.

It was more a business hotel than holiday. It was quite expensive €1,200 for a week not including breakfast which was €17 extra. They had no restaurant for dinner just a pool bar menu very limited. Wouldn't recommend it. Was disappointed.

The pool and air conditioning is the best part of this hotel. The cost for a hotel room that looks very tired and small is a lot but that might be down to booking a month beforehand. The location isn’t great as it’s far from the old town where there are more things to do. It is also a fair distance from the beach (around 35 minutes walk). But there is a commercial centre nearby which is very good for shopping and eating out

Pool is very nice however it is in the shade of the hotel for most of the day so can be cold. Hotel itself is very nice and clean and quiet, near good attractions. Staff were very polite and attentive. Will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Valencia!

Top Tip - If you check the gymnasium on the tenth floor has a sauna. The hotel only runs the sauna when it knows one of its guests wants to use the sauna. Thus saving the planet in the process 😂 So call 550 from your room about 20 minutes in advance and the hotel will have the sauna at a lovely 80°C in advance of your arrival. Second Top Tip - All you need are bus number 19 to the beach in one direction or town centre in the other. Or use the 32 which takes you straight to the prominade. All for 1.50 euros whatever the single journey.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The best thing was the location. It was perfect walking distance to some of the best sights and felt like a very safe area. The mall, restaurants, and museums are close by. The hotel had plenty of amenities. Beautiful pool, restaurant, bar, mini gym, sauna, and rooftop terrace. Although I wish they would have mentioned the sauna requires a reservation in advance. The staff was always kind and friendly and very helpful. They called taxis for us and we were able to do a luggage drop-off. I also had a package delivered to the lobby with no problems. Breakfast was delicious, but it's buffet-style and there's no hygiene protocols in effect. We got a premium room and it was amazing. Clean with a spa-like bathroom and ambient lights. We felt so relaxed. There are no washcloths, though, only large towels. The internet was strong for the most part, but it did occasionally cut out here and there. Overall, though, we loved this stay and would highly recommend!

Overall a great hotel with great breakfast & convenient location, but I am deducting stars for how an issue was handled. We arrived and our room was perfect. Sometime during our first night, the AC stopped working (and the windows cannot be opened.) I went to ask at the desk and they said they would send maintenance to look at it. We went shopping and came back, still broken. I stopped at the desk again and the same girl told me that we had hung the "do not disturb" sign on the door (we do this, but I explicitly remember taking it down before we left for this reason.) So, she says since we are going out, they will go look at it while we are gone. We stayed out late thinking this would mean the room would be comfortable when we returned. Not the case. It was over 27 Celsius in the room. Terrible night of sleep, my husband went down to complain again and ask the worker to come see for themselves. This time the guy said since he was by himself he could not leave the desk and the reason it was not fixed yesterday was because the maintenance person was not at work on Saturday. I came down a few hours later to ask A 4TH TIME for it to be fixed, and he said we could only switch rooms if he could not find a solution. He called the maintenance worker and he was upstairs within 10 minutes and it was fixed 5 minutes later. The dishonesty of the situation is what really bothered me, if maintenance was not working on Saturday they should have offered to switch our room then instead of pretending it was a miscommunication.

Good location and nice rooms but had my computer bag and valuables stolen out of the lobby. One guy distracted me while the other took the bag off the chair. Be careful. Hopefully the cameras are working and they can identify them. Still doesn't replace all the pictures and information on the computer.

Okay hotel. Pool was a wading pool, not a swimming pool. Liked the outdoor seating, but ladder for the bunk bed was broken.

Really recommend the hotel. Great location nicely between the beach and old town (about 30min each way) with a big supermarket just across the street. Staff were great with special mention to Rodrigo at the front desk who had some great recommendations and amazing attitude - really made the stay that much more special for us.

I did receive a response about the pool condition, stayed 27 August to 1st September this year, I am afraid that the reply is not true, I have pictures from the pool area is all ugly and not safe to stay, manager saying that this area is recently re decorated! I did reply back and hotel must have the pictures and can be compered! awaiting for a proper reply soon from the management team.

Stayed in this hotel recently, only reason was the pool, I was so disappointed!pool area was poorly decorated and the floor was damaged, nearly fall over! Pool is on the ground floor and by 4 pm was shades and no sun!when you look at the picture on the website it looks glamorous but in reality is not. I am a frequent traveller in valencia and have stayed in different hotels 3 star and they had better pool! My expectation from Melina hotel was much higher. Had to go to the beach because the pool was not good enough, and paid nearly 600 Euro for 5 days. I thought I need to share my experience so the management should know. Anahid

Honestly I cannot give more than 3 stars. The best thing of the hotel is only it’s location! It is very old inside , our room was premium and we are on the 9th floor - sounds good, but wait - no view at all (view into the blocks ) while other rooms (1-4 floor with view to the beautiful pool with lights at night..). However the bathroom of our premium room on the 9th floor was amazing! Wonderful marble and comfortable bathtub - really nice place to relax. The staff is nice and helpful and as we are platinum members of Meliá reward we were told due to Covid we cannot get welcome gifts and got a voucher for two drinks in their bar- however the bartender did not want to make us cocktails with no alcohol as we do not drink wine or beer as mentioned in the voucher and he told me - do you want water . I am sorry?? Really funny honestly ….he brought juices from the breakfast room.. however the hotel is 5 min away from the Oceanic in Valencia - the most beautiful place and also it is just in front of El Corte Ingles and the are is full of wonderful restaurants. Area is really nice but hotel is not worth it except for the bathroom:)

Incredibile inflexibility on 30 mins delay for checkout!! Pool closed for "private parties" on a weekend, while the hotel was chosen for the pool. Rooms dated.
