Lovely time spent out! Popped in for a meal with family. Really enjoyed the food. Would definitely recommend. Friendly service and will be returning.👍

We went here for the first time tonight and it will be the last time we will go there. We ordered our meals and sat at a table and waited for the food to arrive, while waiting there were dozens of tiny black flies buzzing around of which several found their way into our drinks..when the food arrived the mushrooms on my husbands mixed grill were fridge cold the eggs were fried till solid and the chips were cold and dry like they had been reheated, my food was luke warm and the scampi was the smallest i have ever seen. There was only 14 chips on my portion and they were also almost cold .i am just glad i ordered the jumbo portion. We were not asked if our food was ok so we just ate our food and left and we will not be back.

Extremely pleasant experience at The Crown recently. Geoff and the team know exactly how to look after diners, and nothing is too much trouble. Super clean. Wide, varied range on the menu. Great tasting food. Will definitely visit again!

I enjoyed dinner here with my family tonight. Jared (the general manager) was friendly and attentive, as were the rest of the staff. For starters we had onion rings and Hunter's gammon & cheese melt, both were absolutely fabulous. For the main meal, we had fish and chips and gammon with eggs. For desert I had treacle pudding. I only thought about taking photos after I ate my main meal. There are two menus (as we are approaching Christmas). We ordered off the regular menu, but noticed it appeared those who ordered off the "festive menu" got a bit extra as there were party crackers and table coverings. This place is great and I will be returning before I head back to the USA.

I have never left anywhere feeling so disappointed. The rudest staff members I have ever came across. Not one of them wanted to be there. Awful customer service skills. Did originally come here for food however the place was so unorganised we left pretty much as soon as we got there due to the way the staff speak to you as soon as you step into the place. Have never seen anything like it! Awful place would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

I visited with my in-laws and had a lovely time. Rose really looked after us, making sure we had drinks and everything we needed. There was a 40% discount off all mains, but there certainly wasn't any reduction in the quality or quantity of food, or in the service given. Between us we had the Chicken Stack Burger, Surf & Turf and the sizzling Seasoned Salmon. The chefs, Leon and Richard, really excelled themselves - as usual! The chicken in the burger was succulent and juicy. The steak was perfectly cooked (by Richard) and my salmon was perfectly seasoned with Cajun spices, cooked just how I like it, on a bed of mixed sizzling veg. We all commented how nice the chips were - golden brown and crispy but pillowy soft in the middle. It's a shame we didn't get any pictures of the food as the presentation was beautiful. I really feel at home at this pub, the staff are so lovely and now know me by name. Despite it being a 20-minute drive from home, it's worth it for the experience. I'm becoming a bit of a regular!! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Staff went above and beyond. I had the chicken Sizzler and my friend had the faithful chicken Buttermilk burger. Food was presented well, served quickly, nice and hot and very tasty. I had Eaten Mess my friend Banoffee cheese cake. Would definitely recommend this pub.

3 years ago we visited and gave this venue 3 stars. I visited today with 7 other family members and must edit my review to 5 stars...staff were friendly, food was absolutely amazing and atmosphere was great. We had steak, salmon, hunters chicken, pork belly and salard bowls. I would recommend this venue for a family meal.

We had a lovely visit as always, we booked a family dinner for a birthday .. there was 18 of us but every single member of staff served with a smile on their face, food and drinks came out fast there was nothing we could fault! Thankyou To the The Crown staff.

Staff are always very polite, friendly and professional. Service is always quick, menu varied and the prices are very reasonable for the good quality food served. We were surprised how good it was on our first earlier this year and now we are regulars. It can get noisy at busy times and we prefer a bit of quiet but that's out problem to deal with. And the one time we complained about the food (frozen chips were cold/raw) it was dealt with very well by the staff and we have had no issues since. If you've not been give it a try you won't be disappointed.

We went on father's day had not booked, but they let us stay and it was lovely food and service.

Have not been in here for many a long year so when one of my friends suggested we go I thought okay. I had the Surf & Turf with peppercorn sauce. Sorry but meal was not the best steak done perfectly but tough it was swimming in greasy onions bits of scampi and the so called peppercorn sauce was disgusting sorry can't recommend and won't be back

Visited yesterday with my husband. I had jumbo scampi and chips and my husband had sizzling chicken with vegetables and chips which we both really enjoyed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There was, however, a problem using the voucher code I had and the staff were having a problem putting it through, so it took a long time placing my order and then I had to go back after we had eaten our meal for them to try again to sort it out which did spoil our lunch somewhat. This was not the staff's fault, Head Office should get this problem sorted as it could deter customers from coming back.

The "Grill" menu is excellent. If you like food coming to you piping hot this is for you. My salmon was perfectly cooked, the vegetables juicy and the rice tasty. The other dish is Chinese spiced pork belly. The meat was tender but the whole dish tended to be a bit oily. Food came in good time and Rosie was attentive and courteous.

Lovely Restaurant, nicely done out. Lovely food and lovely staff. What more do you need?

A well clean and pleasant place to visit.. my only downside is the parking charge? It isn't made clear enough at the pay point that customer parking is free but you need to enter your registration details on the screen INSIDE the pub? Be warned..

Went New Year’s Day for the first time, food was great, fast and serve great. The only thing that spoilt our family meal was an old lady sat in the armchair by the toilets that accused my daughter of staring at her, she was very rude . The barmaid said she was a regular. This made me wonder if she might be the reason the pub was empty, because the food, serve and price was excellent.

We were refused entrance to the venue due to a female staff members history. It felt very prejudice and there was also an openly violent biker that had threatened myself and others multiple times waiting outside due to Cial being with Zoe who was cheating on me with him. Not only has he threatened me but they have brought trouble to my door and workplace having had to throw Zoe out of the house we both we're renting. Cial is not got publicity for the venue and Zoe should have had a proper background check on employment history and a CRB check for being able to work around children and lying about not getting sacked from a previous job. We use the crown regularly it's absolutely brilliant. The owners and the staff are great , your always made welcome. The food and drinks are always spot on . I would recommend this pub to anyone ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lovely place, good atmosphere. My only issue is there's a girl with blue hair that works there, she had a bad unwelcoming attitude and unfortunately her personal hygiene isn't up to standard for someone in her line of work. Perhaps managers can provide deodorants for their staff to mask the bad body oder if the staff don't have their own.

We Were served By a very nice Barmaid by the name of Jordan who was very efficient and helpful in our food service and had a good rapport we all 5 of us, who were very much her senior. Will definitely go to visit there again

A very average experience. Portions weren't consistent between orders on our table, or the table next to us who had ordered the same meals, leaving some of us with small meals and others with more than could be eaten. Meat quality was poor. Service was polite but inexperienced.

We were served by Jordan who is definatley an asset to your company, pleasant, informative and just a warm and friendly person. I had the ultimate fish and chips and was really pleased that they offered a doggie bag as it was huge..Clean,friendly with good food I cannot wait to return

Courtney and the manager always have a smile and warm welcome. The food is always amazing and would highly recommend this establishment. Have been to other sizzler pubs but they don't match this level of service.

Nice food and a nice atmosphere generally, what let it down was the refusal to open a tab because we did not have a discount voucher. Have always opened a tab when paying by card. Probably resulted in us spending less time here and less money!

The pub was ever so clean and welcoming. The staff were lovely and sweet did everything to make us feel at home, Rosie and Courtney was ever so helpful in helping us find a seat and giving us recommendations about the food. The food was beautifully presented and very punctual, very tasty I asked if they could give a compliment to the chef for me, Shannon did a great job on the food. I will be back! 👌
