My friends and few people I know recommended this place. Going through treatment of cancer and having a baby, is a lot. Finally on my birthday I decided to give them a try and told myself I deserve a good treat and ready to splurged. I booked online at least more than a week and since I’m not familiar with their services I picked the ones I would like to get it done. On the day, I was late about 10-15 mins, life happens and couldn’t leave work on time. I called them and asked them if I need to reschedule and they told me that they’ll still see me. As soon as I got in the bldg, I did not feel welcomed. I apologized for being late….Most of the places I’ve been, they make recommendations and add-ons to make sure I get the best result… this place zero, the ones I requested, French tip for my nail, she said your late, we cannot do that… and I proceeded to ask her if we should reschedule? And she said if you get me started we can see??? I felt ashamed at that point, people in the place are looking at me and I felt so embarrassed so I told her, no color, just clean it. She then say she can do a gel, so I reluctantly say that’s good.That appointment ended ok, I don’t not feel any different from when I went in… but I had more appointments so they told me where to go, I was more willing to any suggestions and recommendations to treat my hair since I have not done any since I lost them from chemo. we were in agreement on my hair treatment and she came and told me that she couldn’t do it because I have another appointment with them, I said can that be canceled and I’ll come back? They said NO…AND CANNOT DO WHAT THEY RECOMMENDED…so all the recommendations, they just ended up with shampoo and blow-dry, no treatment no styling- ZERO. And I proceeded to go upstairs to get my lash done, the stylist said oh, I don’t recommend this treatment for you,??? Bare minimum was done for my hair just so I can get my lash done and then she tells me I don’t need it…..What the heck… I was furious and never felt so humiliated…. I did not feel relax and luxurious, as I was aiming for… overall, I felt terrible and zero gratification. Poor customer service, if you knew I made multiple appointments, someone should have called and ask me what exactly my goal and expectations for the visit, make a recommendation and ask me to come earlier or another day to ensure I get the best service possible… you could’ve rescheduled me and see me another day if you’re too busy… don’t say you’ll see me and do the bare minimum…. You’re supposed to be the beauty and relaxation expert but I saw zero compassion and I’m livid, humiliated and yes you ruin my birthday… I will never recommend this place.

I scheduled an organic facial with Marcia for my bday. She made me feel comfortable and gave me tips on how to better care for my skin at home. Highly recommend Marcia!

First time at the spa for a facial and absolutely loved it. Staff was very friendly and Violet was outstanding, very profesional and gave me helpful tips for my skin. I will be back✨

When I arrived, the front desk staff were all extremely friendly and professional. Tori was my stylist on my most recent visit. I hadn't worked with her before and she was incredible! Super friendly, personable, and very talented. I am really happy with my balayage. I highly recommend Sugar House and look forward to my next visit.

I have had the great fortune of finding Trish to do my hair. Trish is very knowledgeable on technique, listens to what you want and makes it happen with fantastic results! My hair has never been this healthy before. Highly recommend. Also, if you are interested in microblading, Josephine is wonderful! I now have natural looking eyebrows that aren’t patchy!

Services were fine. I found the staff to be snobbish with no real reason to be! They are by no means an upscale salon. Average more so.

Spa services, thumbs up, hair not so much (anymore). I've been a Sugar House Day Spa & Salon client for over ten years. Five stars for Angel, over and over, who has been my go-to aesthetician for at least 12 years. I've had wonderful massages and mani/pedis there, too. Everyone is friendly, gracious, and helpful. One of my favorite places in Old Town. Less successful is my experience with their hair stylists. Over a decade ago, I tried someone there and no luck. Circled back in '22 and discovered Tatiana - she's the best! And then, she left to open Hair by Tati. Wanting to give the newly assigned stylist a chance, I tried this person out for a straightforward color. Mistake. My brown hair with just a few highlights was suddenly very blonde and over-processed . . . and my one gray spot wasn't covered (my only wish!). Such a bummer! I wish I could give all my business to Sugar House, but I was grateful to find that Tatiana was nearby at the Salon Lofts. So, it's the spa for me, but hair continues to be with Tatiana.

Great services! They also sell some of my favorite facial products like Obaji (backed by science and FDA approved) and Eminence (organic).

This 5-star rating is based solely off my experience with my 1-year long-now esthetician, Angel. She truly is an angel and gifted in her specialty/field. My skin looks about 10 years younger than I truly am; I get compliments from ladies saying they can tell I take great care of my face and are astonished that I am 55 years old. Thank you, Angel, for all you do.

4 ½ stars. Fabulous day spa with an immense amount of services. Super staff that are friendly but not pretentious. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. The services are too-notch. This place is on the pricey side, which accounts for the -½ star. I highly recommend- they go out of their way to accommodate and there’s a cute small boutique within with makeup and hand-made jewelry at the front.

Great massage, they missed a couple spots (no head massage, didn't do fingers (just palm) and they did zero head massage during the Swedish. Amazing quality. Othet than the minor nitpicks above, overall a great massage by a highly trained tech in Misty.

They never sent out a gift card I bought so I didn’t have it to give my friend in time for her birthday. There were no apologies or attempts to correct it. Sort of unbelievable for this kind of business where service is the main thing they do.

I'm a long-time patron of this spa, and I love the service and the staff. The greeting staff at the front has declined. Outside of that, all is great.

I am from out of town and a friend recommended them for hair and makeup for my son’s wedding. 4 days before the event they tried to move hair to 1130 when wedding was at 1pm. They did not accommodate my dilemma and I had to make alternate arrangements.

I came from out of town and found this spa to treat myself and a friend to a hydrafacial. I have had about 10 before and love the results. I told the technician I had jawline hormonal acne and could she do extractions. She agreed. What. A. Nightmare. She wrapped her nails in a cloth and proceeded to manhandle my face. You should press once, maybe twice and then leave the pore alone. She wouldn’t let them go and her nails created cuts and microabrasions all over my face. See attached pictures for the truly awful jawline. I’m horrified that they let someone perform this service who is clearly not trained. Avoid facials here at all costs!!!
