I was unable to order from Good Luck for many months because they were closed due to COVID 19. I couldn't find another restaurant during that time in the area that could compare. I was SO happy when they reopened! Chicken and broccoli and a veggie spring roll is my go-to but everything I've had from here has been good. Prices are reasonable and competitive and I've always been treated nicely (carry out and delivery). I usually order for carry out, but have been happy with the food, service, and delivery times when I've ordered delivery. Good food and good service at Good Luck!

This was my first time here, being new to the area. It was just ok. I bought combination fried rice, fried wonton, egg rolls, BBQ spare ribs and white rice. The fried rice was very good and had good flavor. The rest of the food is all a pass. The ribs were greasy and didn't have flavor. They looked good but was not good. The fried wontons were fried so hard they were hard to eat, if you could bite into it. The meat was none. The egg rolls just had cabbage and nothing else in the egg roll. Bottom line: Good combination fried rice. The rest of the order a pass. Not worth the $40.00 bucks.

Solid American-Chinese fast food. It's exactly what you expect when you order from a Chinese fast food place. We typically order the Combination Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, and Beef & Broccoli, and they are always consistent! The fried rice is flavorful and has the right balance between rice and toppings. The sweetness of the sesame chicken is just right, and if you pick it up early enough, it still retains the fresh crispiness when you bight into it (I am usually not so lucky, darn you traffic). The beef & broccoli has tender pieces of meat, broccoli with a nice snappiness, and you can taste the ginger in the dish, but it's not overpowering. The food is always prepared quickly and usually earlier than what's stated in the receipt. Pro tip: If you order directly from their website, you can score a free drink or egg roll by meeting an order minimum, which isn't that difficult to do if you're ordering 2 main dishes.

First & last time ordering from them. I’ve never seen anything like this. Chicken was grey/discolored & very hard. The rice was so bland and plain. I couldn’t even bring myself to try the hunan “chicken” after seeing the fried “chicken” but it didn’t look great. The mumbo sauce, trash. Best thing was the fries and those were very average. The delivery guy was very nice though.

I drove all the way from Waldorf to get food. Spent $89.35. Gave them a $10.65 tip. I ordered two dishes with white rice and received fried rice. I ordered crab Rangoon and did not receive them. The chicken wings were miniature size. They tie the bags up so tight you can’t get in unless you tear it up. The food was tasteless. No scallions. No spice in the Singapore meifun. I had to redo it adding res pepper flakes, salt and other flavoring. This is not what I experienced 4 years ago so I guess they changed their cook?? Will not return.

Good luck eating that food. It was so bad. The fried rice was bland. The chicken wings was not cooked all the way and the seasoning they put in the batter was not good. They tried to be unique and failed.

Me and my partner were craving chinese food at work and stumbled upon Good Luck Chinese. I can say honestly it's one of the best Chinese food places I've been in a long time! The staff is friendly, the menu is both not confusing and easy to order from. I ordered beef and broccoli and the sauce was fantastic, the beef was cooked wonderfully and the broccoli was cooked perfectly (not to crunchy and not to soft). I also got an order of fried wantons which was the perfect ratio of coating to meat. Overall a 10/10 and highly recommended for anytime you want chinese

I am copying a review by GirlNamedMaggie, because this is exactly what happened to my husband and me! We liked their food well enough, but we have been through an absolute nightmare, the past few months, because our cards were repeatedly hacked! Each time we had our cards replaced, it would happen again, and we began to notice that the hacking coordinated with the times we ordered from Good Luck (or BAD Luck in our case). We haven't ordered from them in months and we've had no additional problems. Please understand that I'm not accusing the restaurant itself of doing the hacking (although who knows?), but it's certainly possible that their ordering system is vulnerable to someone else. In any case, we eventually had to close the bank account that we've had for decades, because it had become so bad. So please BEWARE. GirlNamedMaggie 1 review 8 months ago Delivery | Dinner | $10–20 Do not order directly from their website. I know of two other people including myself who've had their card numbers stolen as a result of ordering from this place - it was the only common denominator between us. Shame because the food is decent.

Food was delicious and they really give you a ton for the money! One of the best deals I’ve found in my two years of being here and I’m looking forward to trying other things on the menu. We had the orange chicken, pork friend rice, fried wontons and seafood soup. All were excellent for the price and some of the best takeout Chinese I’ve ever had.

I ordered from here last night. I placed my order for a spicy Lo Mein & fried chicken with rice. The Lo Mein was very bland. No flavor at all. My son took a bite of the chicken and put it back in the box. I tasted one of his chickens, and it was no season on it. This was the first & last that I will order from here.

I was craving Chinese but nothing tasted the way I hoped it would. Even the fried rice was weird and went straight into the trash. Do not recommend. I'm shocked at all the 5 star reviews, I feel cheated.

This review is about the food everything else is fine. I will only review the food I purchased and ate for myself. I placed a takeout order in 7/12/2023 for dinner. This location is key as it's walking distance from my house. The crab rangoon was dry and hard with barely any filling, egg drop soup was ok. However, the packs of crispy noodles were stale and runined the soup eating experience. The egg roll was overly peppered. General T'so was pretty good. Not great but good and the lomein was basic, just plain noodles. My next Chinese order will be from somewhere else.

Really great food, fair prices. Their egg rolls are particularly tasty. I’ve only had good experiences ordering here.

Some of the BEST Chinese food in Alexandria City! I was lost when Good Luck was closed due to COVID-19. Every other Chinese restaurant I tried that was open did not compare. I was so happy when they reopened for business! My go-to is chicken and broccoli. The prices are good and they have lunch specials. If you pick up, there's plenty of parking. If you order delivery (you can order online or by phone), food's delivered quickly, correctly, and with a smile.
