The
park

a
large
open
field
with
a
walkway
along
the
water,
that
heads
both
north
and
south.
The
park
connects
to
King
Street
Park,
another
open
field
park,
just
to
the
north
of
this
one.
There
is
an
awning-covered
seating
area
with
tables
on
the
north
side
of
both
parks.
There
is
a
walking
trail
to
the
north
and
south
along
the
river
with
informational
signs
and
displays
that
describe
the
sights
along
the
trail.
There
are
several
shops
and
restaurants
in
Old
Town
Alexandria
just
to
the
west
of
the
field.
