(Translated by Google) A small but very impressive church. As soon as you are inside it is very ..... wow. Anyone in Paderborn should not only pay a visit to the cathedral but also to this church.

The refined Baroque church in the centre of the city was completed in just ten years between 1682 and 1692. Originally the Marktkirche was a counter-reformation Jesuit church, and the lavish ornamentation on the pulpit and altar reflects that spirit. Originally installed in 1696 century, the high altar is 20 metres high, sporting gilded Solomonic columns, putti, rich paintings and the Jesuit coat of arms. The original was lost in the war and between 1989 and 2004 was painstakingly reconstructed over eight phases at a total cost of €4m.

In terms of its importance, the market church of Paderborn may be in the shadow of the cathedral - but not in terms of its beauty and acoustics. A fantastically beautiful church and a must-visit if you are in downtown Paderborn. 5 Stars.

It's a church. What can be bad about it anyway? A must visit place in Paderborn though. Very beautiful.

Beautiful church with an impressive altar area. The church is decorated in pink and gold among other things. The former Jesuit and university church, Saint Franz Xaver, also called the “Market Church”, is located in the center of Paderborn. The former Jesuit church in Paderborn (today the market church) was built between 1682 and 1692 with a baroque facade. A very beautiful church and also very well maintained inside

Truly the most beautiful and largest old man in northern Germany that I have seen. The whole church is beautifully decorated and all the details are beautiful. You definitely have to visit this church and cathedral.

(Translated by Google) If you are in the vicinity, a short visit to the church is recommended. The large altar is particularly impressive. Otherwise sobriety prevails. In any case, you don't have to plan a lot of time.

(Translated by Google) We were on June 25th. there for the wedding. As soon as I entered the entrance, I spontaneously said "Wow, what a beautiful church that is". The golden chancel, the side aisles...beautifully restored. The acoustics of this place of worship are breathtaking. It was live singing with guitar accompaniment... just too beautiful. Unfortunately, public masses are no longer allowed to take place in this church.
