Best Fregula I've ever had in a restaurant so far, and I'm sardinian, so I know for sure! The catalan creme was amazing too, huge portions and fair prices

Sa Mesa is difficult to review. It’s nothing wrong, but it feels like one of many. We had our table at terrace. The service was again very friendly (not sure why Sardinia has such a bad reputation for bad service). We had some simple baked fish and it was good. Wine selection is restricted to some local simple wines. Overall, quite a pleasant dinner, but it feels like many other similar restaurants around.

Second time there in 3 days! The first time we got there by chance and had a seafood menu. One of the best ever! The second time around we opted for some meat, with the typical "maialetto arrosto"! It was simply amazing!!! Great menus for tourists, definitely worth the price! Highly recommended!

The food was honestly amazing, completely understand why sometimes they sell out! We were also luckily able to make a reservation on the day, but I suggest reserving a few days beforehand if you want to sit outside. House wine was great, the lamb was great and so was the popular succulent pig. If I could improve it in any way, I would offer mustard to go with the pork.

Very good food, nice atmosphere here. Moderate prices even if it is located in the center-old Town.

Excellent restaurant with excellent food in the city centre, few walking distance from Alghero Bus Station. Strongly recommended for couples. You can eat both outside and inside.

Waited an hour or more between starter and main course. Gill's steak was rushed and not properly cooked potatoes were cold. Waiter blamed kitchen but about from removing water and service charge made no attempt to redeem the situation. Not even the offer of a free coffee.

The porchetta was fine. Friendly waiters. Prices are a bit steep for the amount of food you get. For those of you with children, the coffee plate of french fries was so small that 6€ is nothing short of a robbery.

Very good restaurant away from the crowds. Great menu, fine wines and great service. It's not the cheapest one though but defo worth it.

Food was good, nothing to complain! We had three types of pastas, pizzas, a cheese plate tiramisù and sorbetto. All good! Red wine was a bit warm for our taste but we asked for an ice bucket and in very short time the problem was sorted. Staff very friendly and professional. Great location in the old center. I do recommend!

We had porceddu and agnello sardigna style. Both highly recommended! Fair price with very good service. Book a table before going.

The food was delicious! If you want to try some local food just go there and you will have the best of Alghero typical food! The service was great, the staff is very welcoming and was very caring for us. I would definitely come back again!

Best meal we had in Sardinia hands down, the food and service were excellent.. You have to go here and sample traditional Sardinian food especially the mussels and clam soup and agilata de pesce!!! Delicious 😋

This is an incredible place to have a nice evening. They have seating inside and outside available and open as most if the restaurants at around 19:00. After we finished eating there was even a line to get a table. So make sure you either reserve or come early enough. We had the tipical menu Sa Mesa, which is a 4 course menu that costs 30 per person. It comes with a cheese and meat plate, followed by the tipical pasta and meat with potatoes. To finish the meal up they gave us the sardinian desert with peccorino cheese and warm honey. I haven't had that much food in a long time! The staff is super friendly and attentive. All in all a great service and great food!

The food was insanely good. My buddy and I had the "mare menu" and it was a blessing. Sooooo good. Very friendly staff and incredibly good service made our visit a delight. 10/10, thumbs up, gold medal, 5 stars

Wow, really disappointing… trying to find a decent family restaurant we landed here attracted by the child menu. Maybe we were unlucky but we got a cold welcome from the waiter (maybe bored by his job…). Then ordered some primi and segundi plus the child menu (nuggets with fries). Unfortunately looking the overall price, quality was not at the rendez-vous. Pasta and cold plate (tuna and salad) were fair, but the nuggets and fries were not well cooked and the taste was really bad. Our kid just ate 2 french fries and left the rest. Roughly 60€ for that is leaving a bitter taste but I guess that’s part of travel surprises! Anyway, next time in Alghero, will make sure to chase some better spots as there are plenty around.
