The staff was so helpful in with my purchase. I sold some gold and they gave me a very good price. I shopped around and I got the best deal here. Kathy and Gabriel are so nice. I would defiantly send my friends there!

Real, knowledgeable advice and polite, friendly service. I have purchased several items, had a few others repaired, and had a necklace of my mother's altered for a family wedding. I have been extremely pleased with every aspect of the service, timeliness and work quality done at Doerner's.

I just picked up at gift for my wife at Doerner Jewelers. Gabriele was great and found me just what I was looking for. I drive by the store all the time and I finally stopped in. I will be going back and would suggest it to anyone tired of chain stores.

I shopped a couple places down on Main Street in Algonquin. Im glad I found this jeweler, much more professional than the other place I went to. It’s nice to find a local jeweler.

Took my Invicta watch into Doerner Jewelers in Algonquin, IL to have the problem of condensation inside the watch repaired, the watch was inspected and the gasket found to be pinched from a previous battery change, I authorized a new gasket to be install at a cost of 16.00, after waiting at least 20 minutes for the gasket change I was given back a nice clean watch with no condensation in it and current date set. I paid and drove off a few miles down the road I looked at my watch and noticed the crown was missing, (it was not missing in the store) so I got to my destination and looked around my car and found it on the floor of my car, I called and spoke to Cathy and said said she was busy and would call me back, I received no call, I call the next day and explain the problem, was told to bring watch in, I told Cathy it may be later in the week or so because of the holiday. When I dropped it off I was told not to worry and it be taken care of. Now they said its nothing they done and the watch is not repairable. I feel something they did to the watch broke the crown. they did have all the condensation out of the watch so they had more then just the back cover off for this repair, and given the watch was broken as soon as I left something in the repair procedure the jeweler did led to this. I suggest if you have something of value to DO NOT take here, they do not stand behind their work and only give a run a round!

Great, friendly service and quality products unlike some chain stores. I went to Doerner originally for my wife's engagement ring in 2019. I've returned ever since when a special occasion calls for a jewelery gift. I should also mention how they bailed me out with a last minute gift when I may otherwise could've been trouble with the wife..They helped order a beautiful claddagh ring and expedited it to get it to me next day! Did I mention Kathy's the best?

Love this group of people. Very helpful, and understanding. I have had unfortunate circumstances at points in my life, as we all have, and chose to pawn the same 3 pieces a few times. Kathy kept in touch during every process, so I would not loose those pieces Today I was glad to return as a buyer. Thank you ladies for your care and hard work

They are a joke. I called in to see if they bought junk silver coins and get a quote. The quote I had to ask a few times just to get an idea because she kept avoiding my question. And then she finally starts trying to explain it to me and tells me my coins are 80% silver? Um no. American junk silver coins are 90%. She tried to argue with me and got very rude on the phone. So to put the story short, stay away. They are a ripoff and rude.

Service for ring given two week time line but not completed in 4 weeks with no communication. Rude, defensive and argumentative staff response. No effort to problem solve nor complete work. Item returned with no service. Very disappointed with customer service.

Found Gabriele online with other good reviews. Had been few other plac es before Doerner to sell some gold/silver jewelry and some coins. She was very upfront and fair I feel . She even told me to hang on to a wedding ring I wanted to sell bc of worth not great at the momemt with the diamonds. I even went to a few other places just to get quotes and she not knowing gave me way more than the others offered. She doesnt take a huge percentage over what the going rate is for gold/silver. There is a cute boutique there that she has of clothes, jewelry shoes as well. Definitely will use her going forward. Highly recommend her for repair, buy, sell.

They did a great job fixing my sons clasp on his chain and also resizing, fixing, and cleaning my wifes ring. They are reasonably priced and cheaper then the big franchised jewelry stores. Mike is a great guy and very knowledgeable. I will go definitely there again.

I came by to pawn some diamond jewelry. Needed quick cash. This place is a joke. They offered me a horrible price. I thought I was going to faint. I ended up going to another pawn shop in East Dundee. I got a lot more money from them than I did here. Keep Away!

I was gifted a beautiful amethyst and wanted it made into a necklace. Given that the amethyst was "rough" I thought maybe it could be wrapped. Doerner did a great job designing and wrapping the stone. It is lovely and I wear it with pride. Creative team with a true love for jewelry and stones.

I took in a chain that had snapped, Cathy quoted me a fair price (almost half of what another Algonquin shop quoted me) and told me it'd be ready in a week (also less time than other shops had told me). She called me the next day and informed that it was already done, and there are no visible markings of where it was repaired. Very friendly staff and their selection seemed large.
