After confirming an hour before the appointment and making it clear that I just wanted vaccinations for my dog, they made me wait 30 minutes before bothering to take my dog. They seemed upset that they couldn’t run a bunch of tests on my 15 year old dog. Their service has gotten slower and more oriented to charging fees. I vow that I will find a better vet somewhere else.

Just called West Main Animal Hospital called answered by Joyce. Before she asked if I was a patient/client there, she said they are not taking any new pets. I told her we are not new. I asked for pricing for spraying. Didn’t even ask about the weight. Didn’t even ask my name to search records. Very rude and not sympathetic to getting my fur baby fixed. I let her know it has been a difficult decision for me but I would not want this office touching my pet.

We have been taking our family pets and rescue dogs to West Main for over 15 years. The entire staff is like our family. They respond to all of our concerns with compassion. We are extra grateful that they have been able to serve the community and us even during COVID. In addition, we have used Cindy Wood several times for consultations, and WOW, she is the REAL DEAL.

Just called & spoke with Joyce... I was calling to inquire about boarding. She immediately said they were not accepting new pets, I told her I was aware of that and that though I need to find a new vet, I still needed to board. She said they are not taking new pets or boarding.. because they only have Dr Frics working. Boarding does not require the presence of a vet... She was quite curt and in rush to end the call. Dr. Frics was our vet many years ago and wanted to go back to him now that we are back in the area. Now I don't think I want to do that...

Finally! After 3 years of trying to find a vet office that actually cares about our dogs we finally found this amazing place. We have had terrible experiences in the past with service, up charges, lack of communication, and general lack of compassion from 3 previous vet offices. West Main Animal Hospital goes above and beyond to make sure we are informed and comfortable with all procedures and info as treatment occurs. Costs of procedures are explained beforehand and they are even accommodating to payment plans for high cost procedures. During this difficult time, they are able to make time to provide personal care and attention while maintaining appropriate Covid-19 protections. I cannot thank them enough and highly recommend this office to anyone that has had similar experiences!

THEY ACTUALLY CARE!!! West Main Animal Hospital is full of little surprises that let you know they care about you and your pet. There are several parking spots in the back as well as parking along the streets leading to Target. I came in for a visit after having a TERRIBLE experience at Temple City Animal Hospital. This was a completely different experience and the difference between a good business and bad one are painfully clear now. West Main scheduled me for an appointment and a representative came out immediately to welcome my pet. The doctor called and knew exactly what he was talking about. He addressed our pet's specific concerns and was open about what tests he thought were necessary and which tests were not worth the $$$. In my opinion, these are the exact things I look for in a Veterinarian. The appoint was on-time, efficient, and had real value! STOP READING! SPOILERS AHEAD!! To put a bow on the whole experience, they returned my puppy with cut nails, a fresh scent, and a cute little bandana! They included a lovingly-made, well-thought out informational packet for my new puppy! A week later, I received a little card in the mail! It is abundantly clear to me that West Main Animal Hospital CARES A LOT about their business, their clients, and... OUR PETS!!!

We were first time clients and now this is my permanent Hospital for my Malshi(Maltese-Shih Tzu) puppy! Dr. An is so nice, respectful, attentive, professional, beyond what I can describe. He always makes sure he can get all your questions, there’s no rush and Dr. An makes you feel like you and your fur baby are truly cared for. An amazing hospital with amazing receptionists, technicians and of course Dr. An! I’m a Vet Tech myself and I definitely recommend West Main Animal Hospital for your fur babies! Thank you so much! They are COVID safe and professional.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! We had what we thought was an emergency with our 9 yo Boxer. Not eating, stomach gurgling, and some other gross things. We previously had a Boxer that had some of these symptoms, and it turned out to be cancer, so we were freaking out. Turns out it wasn’t as serious as we thought. A few days earlier, we called just about every Vet in the San Gabriel valley, and none of them could see us. The soonest any of them could see us was 7-8 hrs. We would have to wait there in line, and they couldn’t even guarantee that we would be seen. Most of them told us flat out couldn’t see us at all, or we would have to make an appt for next month. Not sure why, but we totally forgot about West Main animal hospital, even though I pass by it daily on my way to work. Well, clearly we saved the best for last! They managed to get us in because of a cancellation on the same day. They seemed really busy, but we’re very attentive to our needs. We filled out some quick paperwork, and in we sent our beloved boxer. Because of Covid, they’re keeping people out of their office, so we waited outside. During this time, they called me several times for questions, and to keep us informed as to what they were doing. I thought they should do X-rays, and they told me that they don’t think it’s necessary, and I should save my money. They did some blood work, and a urinalysis, gave her a vitamin shot, and me and the pooch were on our way. They said they would have the results in 2 days. I received a call the very next day from Dr Frics, letting me know that he believes she has Pancreatitis, because the enzymes were elevated. The treatment would be some antibiotics and a follow up in 3 weeks. It’s been a few days and she seems to be back to normal. Thank you, Dr. Frics, Gracie, Misty, Roxanne, and I know I’m forgetting a couple more. You guys are truly a class act!
