Dangerous
and
unethical
care.
I
came
to
this
ER
in
crisis
and
was
seen
by
the
doctor
for
about
2
minutes
total.
In
that
time,
he
rejected
my
current
diagnosis,
diagnosed
me
with
a
new
condition
that
no
other
doctor
I've
ever
seen
has
mentioned,
took
me
off
my
current
medication
and
started
me
on
a
new
one.
It
seemed
very
suspicious,
but
I
was
in
such
crisis
I
just
did
whatever
he
told
me
to
do.
He
gave
me
his
number
and
told
me
to
call
him
to
schedule
a
follow
up
visit
ASAP
to
see
how
I
was
doing
on
my
new
medication.
I
ended
up
having
a
severe
reaction
to
this
medication.
I
felt
like
I
might
die.
For
three
days
I
called
his
office,
trying
to
schedule
an
appointment
so
we
could
reevaluate
my
care
plan.
He
never
returned
my
messages.
Eventually
his
office
staff
said
I
could
not
make
an
appointment
or
even
briefly
speak
to
him
on
the
phone
because
I
didn't
have
the
right
insurance.
Not
only
is
it
completely
unethical
to
prescribe
a
vulnerable
patient
a
new
medication
and
then
refuse
to
follow
up,
it's
also
a
legal
liability
for
him.
I
had
no
choice
but
to
make
decisions
about
my
own
treatment
plan
which
I
am
NOT
qualified
to
do
and
stopped
taking
the
medication.
I
now
know
that
it
is
dangerous
to
suddenly
stop
this
medication,
and
no
one
should
ever
do
so
without
medical
supervision.
This
doctor
put
me
at
extreme
risk
and
couldn't
even
take
5
minutes
to
talk
to
me
on
the
phone.
Disgraceful.
Coming
to
this
ER
was
a
huge
mistake.
