Delicious, just make sure you have a reservation. If you have never done omakase before this is an expensive experience. But the chefs and the service are so good. It starts at 300$ per person so you've been warned.

Total experience was amazing. Stopped by during lunch to celebrate and was not disappointed. Im not the biggest uni fan but tried it again here and everything was butter. Everything in the omakase was a hit and nothing tasted fishy. Ambiance of the space is very cozy and intimate. Roe, Kwan, and Fumio san really take care of you from beginning to end. This is our new celebration spot 10/10.

An awesome new sushi place my friend recommended. A lot of pieces and courses were given. About 20 total. The ambiance was easily one of the best I've seen for a sushi place. Both chefs are partners and they both speak English. Definitely recommend everyone to come try. Wouldn't be surprised if they end up getting a Michelin star

Jazzy music helped set the mood. We made a reservation for lunch omakase and it was amazing. There are only four tables inside and enough seating for 4-5 pairs of people. My favorites were the Japanese mackerel and the ootoro. Also had a glass of plum wine with the meal and enjoyed that as well. Plenty of parking in the back. Highly recommend coming here if you have a chance!

An absolute gem of a restaurant. I had the nigiri omakase: service was sharp and friendly, and Chef Azumi and his team were so thoughtful with how they constructed the meal. Kogane is a worthy and exciting addition to the LA sushi scene, and, in my opinion, already one of the best.

Delicious, wonderful, friendly. Lots of thought and care put into every aspect of the experience- from all the interior decor (picked by the owners) to the ceramic plates and sake cups, to the service. Fresh hot towels, meticulously prepared courses, constantly refilled hot tea. I loved how friendly all the folks running this place were, from answering all of our questions to explaining certain methods of preparing ingredients (fish, junsai, ginger, etc.). The ensuing atmosphere was one of camaraderie, friendliness, and sharing. The foooooooood though, the best part :-) Jon (not sure if I'm spelling it correctly) was a treat to talk to as well ✨

Amazing omakase. Run, don't walk! The entire experience was great. Kogane has a few bad reviews on Yelp — ignore those people! Just because someone has the resources to afford good omakase, that doesn't mean they understand the experience. This is among the best sushi I've had in L.A. Don't miss it.

A fairly new establishment at the time of my visit; I was definitely impressed by both the quality and the presentation. I had lunch omakase and everything was right about it. Most likely the best sushi bar in Alhambra.

Amazing dining experience. First class service with the best omakase I've had. Every dish was an amazing and unique experience. In addition, the Sake pairings were done perfectly to match the progression of dishes. I can't wait for the next opportunity to go back.

A really great spot for omakase! The sushi is delicious, authentic, and each piece does have something unique to offer. Restaurant vibe is very relaxing and modern, and the chefs really try to make your experience special.

Loved the whole experience. We went for lunch which was different for us, we usually do the last seating. But lunch was fun and relaxing. Everything was so fresh and we left more than satisfied. We added uni as our last treat. With every penny, chef was generous.

True gem! Great addition to La omakase scene! Fish was fresh, right amount of everything, great tasting rice and everything served at the right temperature! My only wish the rice was not as mushi in some sushi but thats just me;)) if you like proper omakase go here! Definitely worth the price and a drive! Also chefs create great friendly atmosphere! Thank you, we will be back!

an absolutely wonderful Omakase experience. Booked the entire place with my friends and we all greatly enjoyed the dinner. The chefs and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The food is so good and prepared so masterfully. A very memorable night! Thanks KOGANE

This is not your Dads Sushi place. First of all there's a 4 - 6 week wait.list to get in. The restaurant seats 7 people and they have two seatings a night. It is an experience in Japanese Sushi immersion that is spectacular and like nothing I have ever experienced. Our group was absolutely enthralled by the chefs preparation and explanation of each of about 18 courses of specialty Sushi prepared in an intimate exclusive setting. The only way to experience anything like this you'd have to fly to Japan. Absolutely ruined any Sushi for me in a great way as they have set such a high standard that's impossible to attain without going back again soon.

Lunch omakase was incredible. Got to chat with chef Azumi throughout the courses he prepared and we had the opportunity to learn a lot about him and all fish he was preparing. He introduced us to nodoguro and it was one of the best pieces we had!
