Most disgusting meal I’ve ever had in my life. There is no way this was an accident. So please be aware of what they are serving you when ordering from this restaurant because they like to mess with the clients health. The only plate they will be serving you is food poisoning and stomach problems. This is something that every client should be aware of cause who knows what’s really going on in the kitchen. Also who knew that in this day in age now you even have to open up your food. Long story short, I was there with someone close to me, and we ordered what is on the receipt. Keep in mind that I was the last person at the window, and there was about ten cars in line before I took my order, and another ten customers while my order was being taken. I understand it was busy and close to closing time but that’s the reason why I called in advance to make sure my order was going to be made properly if not so I can respectfully just come in at another time. So I don’t know what type of burrito they made but this must be something new because I’ve never seen something like this in my life. The reason why I knew it was done purposely is because with there being so many clients that day, approximately 15-20 clients, I’m sure there would have been more than one complaint. There’s no way anyone would eat this. I’m sorry but this is something that should be taken seriously. I hope you guys get your Karma cause that’s dish is best served cold.

First time driving there today. Went through the drive-thru. They do require mask up-front. Overall my experience previously was great as I absolutely love their hardshell tacos. The shell has nice crunch with the shredded meat which was juicy. The yellow cheese adds a smooth texture with the meet while the lettuce and tomato adds a refreshing taste. If I had to get one critique is price of these tacos which were $3.xx. But why are you so good?! Definitely recommend. Customer service was great this time and the last few times I was here.

The wet burritos here are phenomenal!! Every thing we've ever tried at Pepe's has been very tasty and fresh! Top notch Mexican-American food.

Love Pepe's, the food is delicious. The employees are nice. The drive thru in the evening is always busy but the food is worth the wait. Their chili verde wet burrito is delicious. My husband and son love the shredded beef enchiladas. Their refried beans are homemade and delicious. Can't say enough about Pepe's!!! The pics are: 1)Wet Green Buritto 2)Shredded Beef hard taco 3)Chicken sope All.sooooo good. Delicious 😋

Try the tacos at this place for the first time! You order beef and chicken, and I would say the shredded beef was a little bit drier than I expected, but the chicken was super moist and delicious. I will probably change the score once I tried the traditional carne asada versions but for now, I would say these are very good, but I've had some from food trucks and other restaurants that were a bit more flavorful. Still a good spot!

Love this place! I've been coming here since I was little. Everything is so yummy! Love their loaded nachos and fries! All their burritos, bomb! Lol taquitos and hard shell tacos with guacamole, yummy! Even their bean and cheese burrito, one of my favorites! Had taquitos to start lol so hungry, didn't take a pic. Then, I started on this huge breakfast burrito, barely got halfway.. saving it for later😋 Can't forget their green salsa, I put it on everything! 🤗😉 This location is the best! Their staff are always nice, the service is quick and it's well kept, it hasn't changed! Love it lol

Always has been great food but they are skimping and portions of food have decreased. Bean and cheese burrito is half the size that it used to be. All I’m eating is tortilla. Cali burrito has not much meat in it. Green salsa is still good

Great drive through service and the bean burrito was excellent AND ENORMOUS (see photo). Rice in green sauce very very good too, and service was excellent too. The whole beans were very disappointing because they had good flavor but were so salty that they burned. Maybe it was a mistake but was terrible and didn't need to be. Guacamole just okay. Buy I'm definitely going back for the breakfast torta

I'd been looking for greasy Mexican food in the area for like a year. You know, the one that leaves puddles at the bottom of the box. This is it. Their burrito al pastor is fantastic. Pastor, beans, rice, cilantro, and onions. Absolutely perfect. 10/10, you need to go.

When I arrived the drive thru line was around the building and overflowing into the street (obvious sign this place is good). Ordered a California burrito since I've been craving one for months since I live in Vegas and we don't know how to make good Mexican food. Have to say the food and portion size did not disappoint. Highly recommend!!

The best Mexican food in town. The portion size for the Pepe’s dry burrito and carne asada fries are gigantic. Shareable size for 2 each. The price is surprisingly affordable. Good quality food and affordable price. Boyfriend doesn’t compliment food establishments easily. He freaking loves it and is impressed by the quality of the food.

How to explain?... My experience is limited to the Alhambra location. My understanding is that this is a chain, so I can't speak for the chain as a whole, but the experience at the Alhambra location is very inconsistent, and mostly poor. My first time trying their soft tacos they were a bit too salty, but some lime juice and salsa made it more enjoyable. The following few visits (5 total at this point) have all had issues. Temperature; very crucial detail. 3 out of 5 visits my tacos were cold. Tortillas were cold and hard and the asada was lukewarm. I ate within a couple of minutes of ordering so it definitely wasn't left out long enough for that to be the issue. The diced onions on one occasion were clearly not fresh, they had that gassy, off taste like they were borderline spoiled. Very unpleasant. My most recent visit, again cold food, and bland. So you see, when the food quality and taste is all over the place it's tough to want to return. My best guess is that there are two or more different people in charge of cooking. One of them obviously knows what they're doing and the other is rushing and not paying attention to seasoning and temperature. I'm hoping someone with authority reads this and takes appropriate measures to improve the quality of the food. Service and speed are great, but if it's at the cost of key details like seasoning and food temperature we have a problem.

Another nostalgic visit. Ordered the (must have) tacquitos and a green Chile burrito. Just as good as I remember from 10 years ago. Still good value for the money and fast service. Highly recommend for food and service! Atmosphere is off-street, picnic-bench style dining.

Average food, average price, excellent service. Our food was warm when we received it…felt like it was sitting there for a while before we got it. There is seating at this location, which was nice because we had our dog with us. The tables were nice and clean. There is a small size for super nachos and fries, which is nice for a party if 1. Overall, it was OK. The workers are so nice and friendly. Would go back because of the workers!

Pepe's in Alhambra is one of our favorite local eateries. The food is pretty authentic and the services is fast. The lines does get long for the drive through so be prepared. It is also the original Pepe's.

Their carne asada fries were great! They were generous w the cheese and meat unlike a lot of places. Went right before closing (not a lot of options that stay open late in this area!) super good would definitely enjoy these again :)

My favorite spot to get my Chile Relleno burrito fix. Surprised that they now offer to put rice in the burrito... PASS! Eat it the right way without rice. But to each there own...

The first couple of times that I had this place, I don't think I really liked it. Or it could have been that I may have gotten it mixed up with another restaurant because my wife bought it for me when I wasn't there. That being said, this place has great Carne Asada. It's not the best that I've had but still very good. It's not dry and not gritty. I love the all meat burrito with cheese, cilantro, and onions, with a mixture of the red (hot) and green (medium) salsas. It's a shame that I have to go waaaaay across town to get a great burrito, but it's worth the drive.

When I ordered $3 for “Soft Tacos”, I was misled to believe there was more than 1 taco. The picture showed more on Doordash and the name suggested Tacos. I feel like I got scammed. This is what I got:

When they say the nachos are 9 dollars… they MEAN IT. You will for sure be getting 9 dollars worth of nachos. I consider myself a hefty guy, and even the small nachos would get me absolutely stuffed levels of full. Keep in mind that this is a more Mexican-American type place, so they use shredded cheese and those kind of slightly watery frijoles. Overall though, I love this place and their nachos. Drive thru can take a little while but it’s always worth the wait in my opinion.

This place has been around forever! The food is consistently delicious and I have never had a bad meal. It is an old school drive thru; tables out in front under an awning and cars lined up circling around the small building. I hate to even post because it means they will be busier than ever, but I have to give them a shout out for always satisfying my hunger. The green Chile pork burrito is my favorite.

The problem with this place is the consistency. Today I got a burrito with nothing but grease dripping from the bottom. I'm talking like atleast 3 tbsp of grease. Tablespoons of GREASE! Why? People have health problems based on diet and you're going to not even acknowledge that? I also didn't get the chili sauces I asked for even though it was left in comments and there to read right on the receipt. CONSISTENCY man. I mean I got a refund so I don't care anymore but, ... this really starts to help people decide if they wanna go back.

California burrito was loaded with meat. The tortillas and cheese were fresh. The red salsa was tasty and had just a little spice. We sat on the patio and watched as they moved cars every 30-50 seconds for the most part. Good crew and friendly as well. I'm glad we stopped here in our way home from LA. I will definitely be coming back.
