I have chosen to stay at Days Inn Alhambra when I come to care for my 81 yr old mother bc it is conveniently located. I stay 3-4 nights every visit, which has been a total of 5 separate trips in 2021. The rooms are fine. They replaced the carpets earlier this year, and the King Size beds are super comfortable. On the flip side, the free breakfast is no longer hot foods, but instead now a granola bar, banana, yogurt, and apple juice. And don't look too closely bc the paint is peeling in the bathroom and the walls are marked up/stained. But for roughly $120 a night, this is all fine. Before this last visit, I would've rated this place 3, maybe 4 stars. But this past visit was so upsetting I doubt I will give them my regular business any more. Here's why... Normal checkout time is 11am. The night before I was to fly home, it started raining which in LA is pretty rare. I anticipated a flight delay (which it was by more than 2 hours) and requested a later check out since I book my flights timed to my checkout time. The young guy behind the counter said no problem and noted it next to my room# on some paper he had behind the desk. The next morning after I was all packed up, I went to Starbucks on the corner and when I came back at 11:30, I went to have the room key updated since i was locked out. The older man behind the counter gave me SO much grief, telling me 3 different times check out was at 11. I told him I was well aware, but that I already discussed it and got approval from the night time employee, which was noted on their check out paperwork behind the desk. He wouldn't let up about it, even though I just needed to be let in to get my luggage (I was 100% already packed up and ready to go). Not to mention, the cleaning lady had just started the room next to me, so I wasn't holding her up. I realize they don't want the late check out abused, but considering the reason I was asking, how often I give them my business, and that I had already gotten approval, this man's treatment of me was completely unnecessary and frankly very upsetting. I have worked in customer service my whole life and know that sometimes it's worth going the extra mile, especially for loyal customers. Apparently that's not true here, so next time I come to care for my mother, I plan to stay elsewhere.

Price is fair for the rooms, I enjoy coming here for the jacuzzi suite which is comfortable for two full figured adults. A bit of cracked tile in the restroom but harmless and not an issue, shower head needs to be cleared of calcium but works softly. Covers are very clean and carpeting is clean, very nice simple set up. Jacuzzi was great as usual and that's what's important to me, I'm a returning client at this location I enjoy coming for my anniversary every year. Convent location for local restaurants and stores near by within a walking distance.

Terrible service, filthy smell at room. We checked in with the front desk and was told to find a parking spot on our own, first come first service; if there was no spot, they would issue us a parking permit to park across the street. There was only one spot left at the parking lot (except the handicap parking), so we parked it in. Within 20 min, there was a car parked right in front of us and blocked us in the spot. We went in to talk with the front desk. The guy who checked us in blamed us not to ask him before parking. And the car which blocked us is belonging to another staff and he blocked us purposely. Come on, there is NO SIGN siting that was a staff parking or whatever. The front desk staff kept teasing and blaming us while the other staff was getting the key to remove the car. How rude?! The room was filthy and we had to leave the door opened for an hour to ease the smell. The cleaning team was nice and polite, other than that, there was nothing good about this hotel.

I been to this motel 3 times, me always having a big heart and thinking they are just having a bad day... But all 3 times they were really rude, Had me park out on the street... Blew me up at 11:30 when i asked for a late check out the night before... it got to the point where i had to Cuss them out on the phone and Hang up! The first time I went there the bathtub would flood ... but AGAIN i gave them a chance again and again, Thinking that things would be different but NAH... i do blame myself for coming back a 3rd time... but i was desperate and im from outta town...

Excellent customer service. Room was nice. The elevator was being worked on (only negative) but he let me know ahead of time. Definitely will stay there again

Want to rate this place more than a 3, the staff were very friendly and the service was great but some of the other guests are a bit worse for wear. Now, if you're only going to use this place for sleeping (which you should) then it's great. Very close to Main st, bars and restaurants were within walking distance. Will Def be back.

Rooms need updating! One time the sheets had specks of blood. Sloppy handy man work. Especially the patch work.

The nicest, quietest, cleanest, and most comfortable hotel I ever stayed at.

Great location. Everything is near by. Parking situation is not good. Only about 16 paking spots. The unlucky ones park in the street. but you will need to get a parking permit from the front desk.

The rooms are outdated but clean, and the price is right. It's remarkable how quiet it is despite being just off a popular thoroughfare. Literally three doors down are a ton of awesome restaurants and nightspots. The only issues we had were that our toilet struggled to flush, and the housekeeping staff was relentless. They asked us three times in one day if we wanted service. We kept telling them "no", but they'd come back and ask a few minutes later. We ended up just ignoring them after a while.

Room was clean with just minor wear and tear. I couldn't believe how quiet the place was the entire time we stayed. The fridge in the room is a good size. Breakfast was very nice with healthy options.

I don't usually write reviews, but here it goes. This place was not worth the one star I gave it. This place is absolutely disgusting In every sense of the word. It smelled The water smelled like chemicals. There was no hot water for a shower The microwave did not work. And the carpet was Filthy I was very uncomfortable. The other guests complained about the same smell. It smelled like mold It actually made me sick. Please do not stay here very bad experience

Room stink and bathrooms walls have mildew bathrooms can use a painting the room can use new furniture and a new rug. The only thing the room had going for it self is that the bed was very comfortable, get rid of your drapes just stick with your blinds, get better and bigger towels.
