Wooow, greatly enjoyed the pan fried small baos from here (shengjian baos). For less than $10, you get a piping hot juicy fried soup dumpling. It tastes very authentic to how they do it in Shanghai, savory and sweet. They also sell other ready made Togo foods that sound really good. The pricing for the combos are great and I would come again for a casual lunch.

It is what you'd expect for a food court style restaurant. There is prepared food that can be pick from at the counter as well as a menu of short order items that can be ordered at the cashier. We had the wanton soup, beef chow fan, and pan fried bao. The wantons were delicious, but the broth left a bit to be desired, the beef chow fan was delicious and quickly made, and the pan fried bao were very tasty and large (although personally I would prefer a thinner skinned bao). It has a bit of the generic 'hole in the wall' aesthetics, but generally the service was good, and the food was great. I would definitely recommend for both a quick midday bite to eat or filling dinner

My wife and I love Kang Kang because this place has a plethora of dishes to try and they are all so good. The owners of Kang Kang are so sweet and kind, they treat us like family. I highly recommend you try their Sheng Jian Baos (pan fried juicy bao) if you haven't tried it before. Also try their four-item combo plate so you can select and try other entrees (ex: purple eggplants, pepper chickens, stir fried tomatoes and eggs, broccoli and beef).

One time I was here an old man yelled at the worker because there was hair on his pork feet. The worker told him a pig has hair. The old man yelled back that the hair should’ve been removed and then threw his food back at the worker. The workers here are truly happy working here. There was a fire here at this restaurant this morning. Karma!!!!

Their best item here is the Shanghai pan fried buns (上海生煎包). I’ve tried them in different restaurants in the area but kang kang does it best. You just have to be very careful when you eat them because they’re so freakin juicy. Their menu is pretty big. If their other items were as good as their pan fried buns, this place would get five stars for sure! There’s food premade sitting under heat lamps, but you can also order freshly made dishes. Once you order, you can sit anywhere you want. Make sure to clean up after yourself when you’re done eating. Oh yeah, their frozen dumplings and wontons are pretty good.

We had the best meal. The soup dumplings are delicious and worthy of their notoriety. They are some of the best dumplings I have had. I also loved the beef soup with noodles and the pancake. Everything was super tasty and authentic. The wonton soup was also excellent!!

After hearing everyone rave about this place, I've finally been able to pay a visit, and it definitely lived up to the hype. This place is such an authentic, down-to-earth, neighborhood staple. They make all the simple comfort food dishes so well and so cheap! The stars of the show shengjianbao and xiaolongbao were so juicy and simply flavor bombs! I'd definitely be driving out here more often!

My husband was craving Chinese food, so we decided to stop in this place. Super affordable and I like the food option, quality and huge portion. Should try their pan fried bao.

This Chinese snack bar is on the side of the commercial street, in a place with very busy traffic Very affordable and cheap $10 for four dishes and the soup tastes great I eat here often

Came here for their desserts although they have a really good food menu as well. The “ice cream” dessert is an Asian speciality and exactly what I like to eat when I’m visiting California.

Sheng jian bao and salted pork and vegetable rice! This place was very nostalgic and also cheap. 2 orders of baos and 1 order of rice fed 3 people and we were very full. The sheng jian bao were very fresh and tasty. Honestly comparable to the ones in Shanghai 😊 would definitely recommend this place and these specific dishes. I didn’t try the combo dishes but they looked great too!

Good noodle. Under cooked XiaoLongBao. And over cooked - rock like fried baos, it actually made loude noise when I grabbed one and hit the table. gotta have strong teeth to have those. Good luck. Never coming back that’s for sure.

A great place to pick up handmade dumplings. The prices are a deal compared to other frozen dumplings in the Los Angeles area. We got the pork, shrimp, egg, and chives dumplings which had huge amounts of fillings (maybe too much). The dumplings were a hit at a recent party. Will certainly be back to try the cooked food. Cash only

A SGV staple , I come here all the time for their Sheng Jian Bao, so juicy! I haven’t tried much else, but I do recall their shanghai style rice cakes being good as well.

An order with your eyes hot bar makes it easy to grab a quick combo meal for cheap. There's a menu above the buffet area, too. Loved the pan fried soup dumplings, but watch out, they squirt!

A really fast food Chinese restaurant. Food is ready on a tray and all you have to do is point just like at Panda Express. But the food is more exotic. There are ribs and the famous steamed fish head which is so delicious. You can order off the menu too for their specials. There are a variety of Chinese herb and fruit drink and cold coffee. Try the chili sauce.
