Unfortunately a large part of it was shut and the rest was dirty. I did love the plants and flowers though. I found no facilities and it’s kind of hard to reach, the bus stop was rather far and the stop which was closer was served by buses that ran every half an hour/ hour. Maybe it’s better connected and lively during the high season.

Beautiful park with little waterfalls (and a bigger one as well) and pretty flowers. Free to enter. Perfect for an afternoon walk. Easy to access from Alicante city centre, plenty of buses go in that direction. Definitely worth seeing while in the area!

Great place to visit alone or with family and friends. Only minus is that there is no bus stop close to get out of there in Alicante direction. You can get there easy but return is a hassle. There is a lot of car park space's available if you have a car.

It's a pity that this time half of the park is undergoing some maintenance work and therefore unaccessible, including the children's playground. Really pleasant park area with native plants and a good amount of water features. There are several play areas for children, a few areas have free access to exercise machines, a few seating areas with tables for those people taking picnics and a reasonably priced cafe serving coffee, beers and burgers etc. Just accross the road is the beach/sea area. The position is just off the main road on South of Alicante,bit tricky to get onto approach road for the park, but plenty of free parking once there.

What a beautiful place. Smaller than I thought, but was still enjoyable. There's picnic areas, a little Cafe bat with good priced snacks. The waterfall is beautiful. I used Google maps to get there, it was a little incorrect for the car park/entrance, it took you pass the turn off. I didn't see many parking spaces so guess in main holidays/fiesta days it could be quite difficult to park.

This parc was ok to visit, the waterfalls weren’t working when we visited and the water had lots of debris within it., We trekked from the centre of Alicante and felt it wasn’t worth the visit from what we saw on the day!! First off, a confession. I navigated us to here instead of taking us to the similarly named park in Elche. My wife doesn’t know we visited the wrong one and, to be honest I didn’t either until coming back to Google Maps to write the review. Parc El Palmerar is less of a botanical garden and more of a municipal park that is planted with palms and cacti of many shapes and sizes. It’s really well maintained and has a café in the centre. Unlike a botanical garden, this park caters for all sorts of activities. Kids can paddle in the water. There’s a zip wire. There are sports courts and even a BMX cycle scrambling area. None of the plants have labels, so if you’re looking to brush up on your tropical horticulture, you should see what the Elche version has to offer. For those that just want a bit of jungle, it’s great.

Second or third visit here... Its shame that there is no notification to advise part of the Parc is closed due to works being carried out. Beautiful parc nonetheless

I love this park. It is not large, however it makes up for it in beauty. It's a lovely place to relax. Good for all users to get around. Good cafeteria. Great for all ages. It is a good 3 or 4 Kms away from the centre. On a bus route. Toilets, boating area seasonal. Lots of tables and chairs for picnics. You have basketball and football hard surfaces. You have playgrounds. There is a beach down from this area on the way back to town. Locals use it. It runs beside the road.

The only downside of the park is that it is not in the city center. So you need a car or a cab to get there. Otherwise it's beautiful. Absolutely recommend for a visit.

I have very nice memories of this park visiting with my children a couple years ago, it seemed we wandered from one playground to another. Unfortunately as many have mentioned, the renovation work is in progress and there is very little for young kids to do. Also the park has quite a bit of litter, but I can't bring myself to take off more than one star as I'm sure the improvements and extra access will reinvigorate the park soon.

This is a lovely park. It is a nice setting to walk around. Lots of plants and trees and pretty water falls. There is an enclosed football/basketball area. Play parks with climbing frames, a zip line, and plenty of seating all around. We had a lovely picnic at one of the picnic benches in the shade. (there is a cafe/bar but it wasn't open on our visit)

Green oasis next to last buildings of Alicante with same name Palmeral. Japanise style park with gazebos, waterfall, bridges, playground for kids, benches and small coffee area. I would recommend to put a sign where is the restroom or a map of the park next to entrances, hard to find WC (it is downstairs, just left from one of the entrances). Can be hot during the day even under the shade so make sure you drink plenty of water. Highly recommended!
