Asia's one of the biggest library! It was like a dream come true to be a part of this university and visit this huge library. Everything is so amazing here. I could not resist my eyes to get wide open.. Learnt about the OPAC, Manual Catalogue system. It was really nice to use the services provided by them. Especially the washrooms were really clean ! They have immense number of services one can have. One of the best libraries I have ever visited in my entire life !

✨❤️Molana Azad Library ❤️ ✨ The Central Library of Aligarh Muslim University popularly known as Maulana Azad Library is one of the largest university libraries of the world which possesses more than 14 lakhs volumes of printed books. It is a world famous repository of rare manuscripts and books in Urdu, Persian and Arabic languages. Molana Azad Library is the central library of the Aligarh Muslim University with more than 110 sister libraries (college/departmental libraries). There are six large size reading halls apart from eight small reading rooms with a seating capacity of about 2000 students at a time. Almost all current newspapers and magazines of English, Urdu and Hindi are available in the Library. Back files of some reputed newspapers are also being preserved and maintained. The Library has a separate room in which books written by Sir Syed as well as on Sir Syed are kept. The Aligarh Institute Gazette started by Sir Syed in 1866, Tahzeeb-ul-Akhlaq started in 1870 and Aasar-us-Sanadeed (about monuments of Delhi) are also available in Sir Syed Section which is consulted widely by scholars from India and abroad. It possess about 1.5 lakh books in Persian, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi and Sanskrit languages on almost all the subjects taught in the University. * One of the special features of Maulana Azad Library is its service to the visually impaired students through Braille Section. Apart from the books in Braille script, a large number of documents in electronic format and devices are also available in this section which is provided to the students.

Location and atmosphere of library is perfect. But facilities can be improve. Chairs are very old. Modified table with covered charging facilities with comfortable chairs should be provided. Extension of RD section is needed.

Maulana azad library is the Asia's biggest Library so you can think about its and there are so many facilities available there if you are amu student then you have your library card and you can easily take a book but you have to return the book on time because there rules are very strict so you have to follow them and any damage to book will lead some amount of charge to you. So this is your responsibility to take care of the book. You can also sit inside the different rooms of Libray also there is water-cooler and washrooms facilities provided and outside the library there is a canteen and a grear museum.

Research Division Section of Library is one of the best reading room where only research scholars are allowed to study and conduct their research work. 💚💫
