Gopalpur beach is one of the offbeat sea beach located in Ganjam District of Odisha. Beach is quite nice and wide. One park is there which has added the beach more beautiful. Bathing Area is too narrow as the bathing Area is occupied by the shops. If the shops were on the entry point of the beach, beach Area and the scenario could have been better. However I have seen a positive thing there, most of the Shopkeepers are women. I think it implies the women empowerment.

It is a very beautiful beach which is very neat and clean. The beach is open from morning 05.00 am till night 10.00 pm. You can experience the scenic sunrise with your friends and family. You can relax yourself in the weekends besides the sea and enjoy nariyal Pani. The waves are quite strong and the water is clean and white. It is very crowded during the peak season and especially during the evenings. Best period to visit Gopalpur beach is in between November to February. There are a couple of resorts with the best resort being Mayfair beach resort. It is appx 16 kms from Barhampur railway station.

Respectively lone and clean beach. Tides are low here so you can enjoy sea swimming. I personally recommend to take a visit. Only fault is parking charges and less availability of vehicles nearby. There is also less availability of variety food centres. Otherwise it is a place to relax.

This place is good but having so many light poles there's no electricity at all. After sunset 🌇 due to lack of light one can not take any pictures and also can't enjoy the view. During the day time everything is perfect.

Year on year the local development authorities have been improving this Beach. All kinds of fast food available here. Perfect place for evening recreation. Hopefully they reopen the lighthouse to public soon.

The beach is great and serene. It is not very crowded like Puri and has quite a number of stalls for food and drinks. There is a beautiful lighthouse as well. Additionally, you can also find turtle shells and bones on the beach which I thought was pretty cool. There are a couple of broken-down and barren buildings as well which adds to the scenic beauty. Overall it is a great place to spend time looking at the sea. In the evening, there are a couple of stalls open selling chaat and popcorn for consumption.

Good beach to see the sunrise and fun with family & friends. I am so happy that I started my 41st birthday at Gopalpur beach in the early hours of this morning. Need cleaning and development. The thing that bothered me is the way to the beach is filled with dog poops and cow dung. The village needs to do something about taking away cows, dogs and pigs.

The beach has improved a lot with respect to time. Overally it's busy place to explore during weekands. Would recommend to visit on early morning or would request people to plan the day bit early to experience the sunset with lovely sea food and snacks.

To speak the truth there is nothing special in this beach. You can not enjoy bathing as the waves are very devastating and lash against sand with high speed. The rate for sea faced hotels are beyond the capacity of middle class people. There is no wind in the beach. Sea food is unhygienic. The sea foods are either rotten or formalin mixed. Crabs, prawn, vetki, maya, all the fish are fried . No fish is mixed with spices or kosha is done with other masala or onion, ginger and garlic. So , before going to Gopalpur , think deeply . You can enjoy more fun and more food at Digha in less than half spendings.

It has got 7/8 feel depth withing 10 meters, so please be very very careful while batching. In a full moon night, the beach shine like pearl, so don't miss it if you are there at that time. The parking staffs have some really rude or extreme behaviour. They are always fighting there near gopalpur sea beach with visitors for less space . Bad experience with parking always . It’s better to walk if staying nearby . There is a lighthouse as well but not sure if we can climb up there. There are few vendors selling food items as well as things like toys, jewellery, etc

A lot of food stalls and hotels are there you can try out. Also, the sea is not that rough but always be careful. Very soothing. A cool breeze is blowing around. One must visit Gopalpur beach if you are visiting Odisha. Also, you can have a bath in the sea beach. And there are few hotels there including Panth Nivas where one can stay & enjoy the sunrise, sunset and beauty of the sea.

The Beach is less crowded especially in morning hours. It's clean and kept well managed by the locals. Few water sports are also available if interested in one.

I visited Gopalpur beach after 6 years. It has improved drastically from what I saw back then. Renovated beach side walk is a treat to roam around. Few but good stalls have come up to serve decent snacks for a nice evening stroll. The best thing is - stopping of tourist vehicular movement near the beach, which reduces a lot of ruckus I encountered last time. Overall nice beach to spend time with friends and family.

Just to let u all know, this area is improving gradually, and a lot is changed till date...so do not come up with great expectations. But you will not regret coming here, nice weather and food will not disappoint you. During daytime one can enjoy boat ride, banana ride as well

Nice calm sea. Adequate parking fees but charges compulsorily paid 500 Metres before reaching beach. Main beach one has to walk quiet a distance not advisable for elders or people on wheel chair. Few recreational activities possible. Food stalls are present.

Overall it's a pretty clean beach. Marine Drive is not huge. There are many shops on the beach in the evening, only a few eateries (just some snacks and coconuts) during the day. The waves of the sea are not as huge as Puri, but they are not bad, you can bathe properly. No water sports activities are arranged here. Right next to the beach there is a very old ruined building, probably a merchant's residence/trade center/warehouse. It once spread over vast areas, but now many hotels have sprung up occupying most of it, and many parts of it on the beach side have gone under either under water/sand or completely destroyed. Now it has become a place of drinking for the local people.
