Good value budget self catering acomadation. Located next to the canal in a quiet village with a few pubs, shops, cafe and a Chinese takeaway. Great as a base for touring the area. Ideal for the family. Don't expect 5 star services from the acomadation but it works fine for a family. We had a lovely welcome pack in the house of fresh scones, milk and butter when we arrived which was a fantastic touch.

We stayed here at the end of January 2026 as a group of five and found it to be a warm, cosy and very good-value place to stay. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well suited to a family group, with everything we needed for a self-catering break. It’s set in a quiet village by the canal, with a handful of pubs, shops, a café and even a Chinese takeaway nearby, which was really handy. If you are the looking for a meal out near-by The Roches pub was a great spot with good food The location worked perfectly for us as a base for visiting family in County Kildare and for getting around the surrounding area. A particularly nice touch was the welcome pack on arrival... fresh scones, milk and butter... which made us feel very welcome. Karen was friendly, swift and helpful throughout. Overall, a solid, comfortable place to stay and one we’d happily recommend for a short or longer family break.

I want to give this place a one-star simply so no one else finds about this little piece of heaven. We only stayed here for a few nights, but it was a great home base to visit family, see Ireland, and even day trip into Dublin. The garden alongside the canal was a peaceful place to unwind after a busy day.

We have spent 3 months in Robertstown Holiday Village; on our arrival cottage was very clean and recently painted. Staff and specially Karen are very pleasant and very helpful , they dealt with our queries or very minor issue with no time and always there to help. I highly recommend this place for long or short stay
