Close to the park in the historic center of San Miguel de Allende, this local gem is not a tourist spot, and provides authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. We got a cucumber basil water, which I highly recommend! They made it fresh in the blender, so the flavor was light and fresh with every sip. Our waitress brought out some bread with incredibly good jam. I love a tasty chicken soup, so I had to try theirs. I'm so glad I ordered it, because it was filled with shredded chicken and the broth was amazing. For entrees, we enjoyed the Chicken Mole, from a Oaxaca recipe, which was very tasty with just the right blend of spices and flavors. The enchiladas plate was very good from the beans to the filling. The means were just the right size and very good. Friendly service. I'd highly recommend this quiet spot for really good food. Colorful, welcoming cafe. 4.7 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing breakfast! I had the huevos with mole and my husband had the chilequiles and they were both terrific. Fantastic coffee, generous serving of fresh juice, wonderful service. It's our new breakfast place!

One of the best breakfasts in SMA. Delicious fresh juice, great coffee, and an interesting menu (with all the usual dishes available also). I had the Huevos Toluca and it was wonderful. Will definitely be a regular here!

What a wonderful dining experience at Cafe Casa Mexico. The food was delicious. The presentation beautiful. The owner delightful. The coffee to die for. For sure our best breakfast in SMA.

We had a wonderful experience at a charming Mexican cafe near the main plaza in San Miguel! The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with its delightful decor, comfortable seating, and the sight of two chefs working their magic in the kitchen, giving it an authentic local feel. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with great care and presented beautifully. If you're searching for an authentic brunch spot, this place is a must-visit. However, I would suggest that the café consider adding a few more fans for the comfort of their guests. The small space tended to get quite hot while we were dining.

Stopped in for lunch with six family members. The food was wonderful! The menus had English on one side and Spanish on the other side - very helpful for us as non-Spanish speakers. It took a little while to get the food as it was prepared just for us. But, who is in a hurry in San Miguel? The decor is fun too. Highly recommend this little cafe

Super cozy place, great coffee and natural juices. Small menu but they're deliciously made and great presentation! Juices were feshly squeezed and tasted super refreshing! They include an intensity chart for the coffee so that's super helpful.

Got breakfast at this little hole-in-the wall cafe based on the reviews. They have maybe 6 tables and a small bartop near the open kitchen. Food was tasty but definitely more expensive than a lot of other places around. Staff was friendly, service was quick. I had an omelette with chorizo and potatoes, it was $130MX. Did not try any beverages. My meal also came with bread and a sweet dipping sauce which was both tasty and a nice surprise! They also have a window you can walk up to and order take-out from the outside.

Great food. The molcajete was outstanding. Service was fast and friendly and prices were really low. Can't wait to go back for breakfast.

As others have mentioned, excellent strong coffee, took a little while but definitely worth the wait. Breakfast menus were in Spanish and a l little on the small side but the food was very good and extremely reasonably priced. We both had a large breakfast and cappuccino for less than $17 US, including a 20% tip. Recommended!

Nice place near city center. Food is delicious and the staff is really nice. Decoration is beautiful and cozy. The price is Ok considering that San Miguel is expensive. I had "Omelette de la casa" for breakfast and it was tasty. Coffee is also very good. I got for free bread with mermelade :D I will recommend the place.

👍 Today, I visited La Gruta and, based on other people's reviews, I really didn't know what to expect. So let me tell you ALL about it! First, the entrance fee is wildly inexpensive. $250 mxn - that's about $12.10 us, 11.90€, or a little under $18 au - and for a spa you can visit all day, that's an a...
