After seeing so many people lining up outside, we decided to come here on a whim. We had a hard time getting a table, but it wasn't impossible. Eventually, we sat at the bar. The cafe is small, sells churros and after trying them, I can say that they are excellent, probably even better than those I had in Mexico City. I ended up ordering the Decaf Latte Special with 3 Churros. We returned another day just to get the churros again, yes, they are that tasty.

Nice little place near the center of town. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. The churros were great but I’ll give less than 5 stars to the chocolate. There was an interesting corny tone in the flavor that was unexpected, but it wasn’t bad. Maybe I’ll come back some time for other staff in the menu and change my mind :)

I think this is the typical example of an overrated place, in my humble opinion, the score should be significantly lower than it actually is, let me explain: Regarding the taste of the food: We ordered chilaquiles, churros, enmoladas and enchiladas, none of them were above average, they didn't taste bad at all, but they are definitely not remarkable, at least I was expecting the churros to be the best I'd had in my life, but they tasted exactly the same as in every Mexican town, no innovation, just plain and simple stuffed or single churros, I'm Mexican and I've tested all those dishes many times, none of them would fit in my top 100. Regarding the place: Very small and uncomfortable (not cozy as I read in the comments), tables are super close to each other. I definitely don't recommend to go with a child in a stroller, you won't be able to get the stroller in, so your baby will have to sit in your lap. Also they don't accept credit/debit cards, everything has to be paid in cash. Regarding the service: They were not rude, but not polite either, just neutral and gave me the impression of being super overwhelmed. There was just one waiter for 8 tables approximately, poor guy, I'm sure he tried his best. One other guy making the churros, also overwhelmed, churros have a high demand so, if you're planning to have some to take out, then you'll have to wait at least 20 minutes, if everything goes well. If you're planning to get a table to eat there, there's a waiting list of 40 min - 1 hour approximately. Not that it would impact too much but the staff doesn't speak English, I saw a lovely couple asking for the time to wait to get a table and they were having troubles to communicate with the hostess, I helped a little and the couple decided to leave. In summary, I recommend going somewhere else that's less crowded, you are not losing any remarkable experience by missing this place. I'm sure you can get better churros and better breakfast in another place nearby.

I enjoyed the place a lot, I came twice the first time to have dessert at night! Which was amasaazing and I wanted to try the breakfast the next day, and I enjoyed it a lot. The prices comparing with the area are good and the quality of food is great. The design of the place is nice as well, and they have a nice view to the street in a couple of the tables. Plus the churros are super crunchy and fresh 🥰

I came here because it was recommended by a blogger and honestly the churros weren’t as they were described. I’ve had better, but they were ok despite them being cold. Also, they took a long time to bring us an orange juice. We were almost done with the churros and they had not brought us the juice. It wasn’t even busy.

This place was so amazing, we came back the next night. We didn't try any of the food, only desserts, but they were delicious. The best churros I have ever had!

Churros are freshly made and no bad oily smell. It’s good combo with churros + hot chocolate. The only thing I will complain is the long waiting and no clear instructions. If you see waiting line (more than 3 parties), skip it and come back another time. It’s good but don’t waste your time here rather than checking out the beautiful town

The hot chocolate and dulce de leche stuffed churro were AMAZING. So was the chocolate frio :) It was a nice afternoon pick me up.

This is a must! In San Miguel de Allende. We just had their famous churros and a hot chocolate which were delicious. Would totally come back here next time I visit the town❤️☺️

They have a small menu with food, but I think most people come for dessert. They have several types of hot chocolate that come with churros. Ask for freshly made churros. There are other desserts too, including some ice cream. Downside is they only take cash. No credit cards.

Authentic churros. With so many years this place has been here it has not changed much. Sitting is an adventure and people must wait quite a bit for pick up or sitting. The drinks are good and rich when accompanied by the churros. Must visit at least once.

Especially with a child, we were very happy with the service. We were greeted, seated, given a baby chair as well as extra cutlery. The food was really good as well and decently priced given the location. The only complaint was that the desert was brought before the main dish.

Churros are just ok. The hot chocolate is very good though. Service felt rushed.

Good taste, good price and nice waitresses especially Valeria, she is really attentive. Love your service. I ordered hot chocolate mix, churro with a filling of rompope, an energy juice and an omelette with turkey ham and mushroom. Everything tasted good. Love it! 100% recommended

Very tasty chocolate and churros! Highly recommended and definitely worth waiting in line (it actually goes by fast). We had the chocolate español con churros rellenados de canela.

I only order Chocolate Español (muy caliente, por favor - soy canadiense!) and one churro relleno con Nutella. Perfecto, siempre. The hot chocolate is thick, not too sweet, and rich with dark chocolate. See - it's so good I forgot to take a picture before I finished it. Be prepared to wait in line.

Their Churros, omg those warm not too sweet and crunchy Churros are definitely something I will remember from my visit to Mexico. There was a line waiting for a table but they also had the take out option which was great because the place was packed so having Churros in the park was not bad at all. I'd definitely buy them again I had the Cajeta and Nutella ones.

Decent churros. I visit every time I come to San Miguel. Just be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes for a table. Also to note, the last time I visited they no longer served the churros warm. I wish they would return to serving freshly baked hot churros. Tip: order churros for take out for faster service.
