1) They leave waitors on their first day unsupervised in the bar, creating chaos and resulting in multiple guests waiting 40+ minutes or more for their drinks. Guys, the waiter didn't even know where the glasses were in the drinks bar. No joke... 2) They rent out bikes but don't grease the chains, so the bikes make loud sounds. 3) The sink's drain in the rooms is strangely designed so that the toothpaste just stays in the sink after you spit it out. (ew) 4) They don't tell you when the breakfast ends, so when you get there at 9:30AM, they will literally kick you out at 10:00AM, and they are very rude. "Leave, we will clean.". It's freakin 10:00AM. Rude staff. 5) No salads in the breakfast menu, eggs cold tasting my cardboard, juices dont get refilled, 2/5 breakfast. Not good if you want something healthy. 6) Not enough glasses, cutlery, nakins, plates in the breakfast. You need to ask for it. 7) Showers in the room are not regulated, - so it's either hell-fire or antarctica. 8) Safe too small for my 15inch macbook. Come on, it's 3K... 9) No towels are readily available by the pool, you have to find a staff in the restaurant to be kind enough to get you one. 10) The rooms to the street view actually point toward a HUGE public trash pile. It's a trash-view room, not a street view room guys. 11) I asked for 1 hour late checkout, because of an important business call. The lady at the reception was super helpful and said it's ok given that we're a 3 times repeat guests. And then I overheard her female manager being angry at her for having extended the stay a bit for a 3x return guest... Come on, the staff management really isn't good. (look at all reviews here) 12) SUUUPER noisy rooms. I woke up at 7:00AM nearly had a heart attack, because the cleaning lady was cleaning the balcony 2 rooms to the left of us. the friction of the cloth against the glass woke us up. crazy... Be prepared to wake up in the morning my the slightest noise. 13) The rooms locks have issues in multiple rooms aparently. great, since my macbook doesnt fit in the safe,eh? 14) No coffeemaker, kettle or anything in the room. 15) Everytime single you come into the room, the TV sound switches on blasting the song "crazy town-butterfly". It's a bit douchy, - and just turn the music off. 16) Turning off the AC/Heating is difficult, because the system isn't at all intuitive to use. Fiddeling on these buttons feels like programming software.. 17) Everywhere it says: No bathing clothes in the lobby or restaurant.. Well you have to pass the restaurant to get to the pool, depending on your room... 18) checkin feels like opening a bank account. 5 signautres on a million papers, passports left right and center, credit cards for deposits and more... Guys, these are all things that don't cost the hotel anything, just pure "attention to detail" & staff training could have made our stay better. All in all, not bad, but not excellent either. A solid 3 star hotel that could be a 4 star if these details would be fixed properly. :) For 200$ not worth it. For 100$ i would have not said anything. :) Beds are comfortable, most staff was very nice, and the salt-water pool is lovely. :)

For a good standing hotel, it could be better. There's no way to take a shower with stable temperature, going from too hot to freezing cold, the room's lock door was not working anymore and the safe is really too small to keep a 15"laptop. At least the room was clean, comfortable and with a "good" noise proof. The restaurant waitress were fun and professional.

We live in the Herdade (the area around the hotel) and we would love to come here more often but whenever we do there are no staff at the bar. Even when we ask reception for someone to come, we are left to wait and then ask a second time. It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful location and I’m sure there are lots of people who would use it more often if the service was better.

We spent 5 days and we are actually considering to go back next year as additional holiday. I took time to read other reviews, and yes I can agree that the scramble egg was poor, however everything else was nice, after our first breakfast we simply forgot about asking for the scramble egg and requested an omelette of our preferred choice , it was bloody delicious. The staff was professional and helpful. As for the rooms the're spacious, very well looked after and I love the simplicity of their design including the balcony area. In regards to the hotel, I believe I can say the same, I also love the way it is lit during the day and evening. I can only recommend that during booking that you should consider the garden or the pool view, otherwise you might have save yourself some additional costs, however the view from the front of the hotel is below average, unless of course you don't mind. The swimming pool and the surrounding area is fabulous. If I can only add that maybe the hotel should do something about the vestibule of the outer building leading to the pool area, as it isn't leading up to the general standards of the hotel. All in all, we are giving thumbs up and hope to see you next year!

I can’t even imagine why there are negative reviews about this place. This is the last day of trip and by far this is the nicest place we stayed at. The staff is extremely accommodating. I just asked for a wine opener and one of the dining staff came to my room to open our bottle for us . He was super kind and informative. The rooms are really cozy and modern and the pool is fantastic. So do I like the hotel your asking? Uhmmm …yes very much. Don’t be fooled by the negative reviews,😇😊

Very nice hotel with nice rooms. But hardly no amenities unfortunately. So no coffeemaker or kettle. We had a room with a view on the garden/pool. I would highly recommend this! Breakfast is ok, not superb. Just a very cold, very hard boiled egg if you like eggs. No other options like a fried egg or omelette. Yes and of course the scrambled powderegg you find in almost every hotel, but that doesn’t count imo. Chairs in the room/on the balcony are great! Beds comfy. Would probably stay here again!

The hotel itself is very nice and the staff is very attentive, there is a nice pool and there are plenty of activities to do in the area. Like going to the beach as it is 2 km away from the hotel it is very nice to walk through the villa area to the beach. The rooms are very beautiful and spacious. If you desire u can get them cleaned nicely every morning. The Pinebar has a nice look and has very tasty snacks and drinks. The restaurant has good food, although it is pricey for the amount you get, although this is doable with a dessert. All in all a good hotel and if after trying the restaurant you find that it is not quite to your taste don't worry there are plenty of good restaurants nearby! A good tip: The spare ribs at Golf d'Água are really fantastic!

D.Rosalia the resort manager was excepcional. Received me upon arrival and welcomed me. Ensured I had access to whatever was required and treated me very warmly. Another member of staff that was very pleasant was Patricia. I had a situation where I was not feeling too well and has a nose bleed. A member of staff came to supervise me and provided some ice cubes, I am not sure of her name , she is a young female. I would like to thank her for her attention. The resort is beautiful.

One of the nicest hotels in terms of simple architecture and design, tranquility with the large pool, surrounded by the pine trees and the singing birds. Very comfortable rooms, the only flaw was unstable water temperature in the shower. Good breakfast and nice staff.

Unfortunately all the complains for the place are real. 3 star hotel Taking a shower is a mission hot and cold. The building is nice constructed but customer service is very not there. At the end it makes hell your stay I have been requesting the invoice for more than a week, and they don’t even reply anymore.

The walls are way too thin! We could hear everything from the rooms next door. Other than that, we absolutely loved the place and would go back.

This could be an amazing hotel but it falls short on so many levels. It feels like there is no management present and while staff is friendly they look like they run around unorganized. Rooms are clean, but have a lot of broken things. The potential with regard to location and staff is there, but just isn't realized which is a pity.

Very nice hotel, the staff where amazing, especially Barbra the lady who runs the shuttle bus.

We loved coming here however the staff never briefed us on all the amenities of the resort so we actually only found out about the beach shuttles and yoga classes till the last day of our stay. The space is beautiful however the breakfast fabulous and the location dreamy. They seem to have a good number of families with well behaved children so even adults traveling without kids would enjoy it here despite it being child friendly.

Stylish hotel and very nice rooms (comfortable beds). Good breakfast. The location is quiet and nice. To get around a rental car or taxi/uber/bolt is required. Public transport is limited.

The location is fantastic and it is located in a condominium where golfing is just one more reason to want to stay! Close to the protected landscape of Mata dos Medes and the beach, the hotel has excellent accommodation with clean and comfortable rooms. The restaurant deserved a menu with more options and there prices are somewhat high. I would even say misfits for the given quality.

A very nice hotel both for Business and leisure, well located but of course away from the city center, close from the south beach. Service is good but not exceptional, rooms are a bit noisy if you are too close from the bar, breakfast is supposed to be at 7.00 but not ready at 7.00, steady temperature for the shower impossible with ups and downs...

I give it 2 stars because it s a 3 star hotel claiming 4. The location is nice but all else is just ok. An airbnb in the area is much better.

The hotel itself is very very nice and modern however, the big downside if it is the service and staff. I think it is not very well organised. We have complained about our shower on the day two and no one has done anything, not that we expected it to be fixed right away but at least inform us. I would recommend people to stay here hoping service will improve but myself I will most definitely not going to be returning

Very modern, clean, high ceiling (also room) hotel. The pool is absolutely beautiful too, the restaurant should be booked, as it’s good and we could not even get the table.. free parking, free yoga lesson everyday twice. wow!

The value for money is very good. All meals are excellent, and both the rooms and the pool are very large. The golf course is in a minimal running distance and in a super state of care. The staff is extremely polite and careful

Shameful service for a 4* hotel The hotel offers a transfer service to their beach club. You need to book the pickup time and the return trip beforehand. We booked the pickup at 11 and the return trip at 13:15. Not only did the driver come late both times but we had to wait 35 min under the sun for the driver to arrive at the beach club for the return trip. We called the hotel to ask whether the driver was on its way and they blatantly lied to our face saying it had been on time but had picked up 4 people and left. We had arrived to the pickup location on time and he was nowhere to be found. So after calling the hotel our guess was that they had forgotten they had our return trip booking and just sent the driver back for us. We went to talk to the manager and she told us the same lie again, then she excused herself saying that they only had 1 driver and they couldn't commit to be exact on pickup times. We headed to our room to get a shower and the room wasn't ready. We'll, not even close to ready, it was completely non-arranged after 3h of our leaving, despite the fact that we had left the sign requesting the room to be arranged. This was our second year in a row vacationing in this hotel. There won't be a third one.

Beautiful location — not far from Lisbon, and near the great Caparica beaches. Staff was kind. Breakfast could be improved. Overall really good price to quality ratio.

The owners of this hotel are super unpolite and rude people, screamed on our children because of the left bread crumbs in the kitchen. Shame on you!

Loved it! The hotel, the location and the surroundings are beautiful

The suites are very nice and comfortable. The furniture and styling is very modern and upscale. Breakfast and food is okay, but was not outstanding. We had some issues with the service being slow and not recognizing us on the pool, although almost no one was there. Overall we can recommend this hotel though.
