Dr. was very rude about my dog not being microchipped (something we declined due to risks of tumors in the breed). She was also incorrect about OFA policy. She tried to turn me away, claiming OFA required a permanent id (they don't) and insinuating I might be lying about who my dog is (ridiculous). When I pointed out her error and OFA's very clear, written policy, she went full Karen. I didn't back down and my dog got her images done, but withiut sedation which IS counter to OFA guidelines. Later, she seemed almost gleeful that my dog got a negative diagnosis from her hip images. It was a very upsetting experience, largely because of her ego and poor communication skills. It was such a bad experience I felt it necessary to get a second opinion, and paid $700 for new images at another clinic, just in case she misdiagnosed her out of malice. It's a good thing I did because this Dr. actually overlooked a separate, serious condition in her knees. I would never trust this vet with my pets again.

This was our vet for our senior cat and they always treated us with kindness and answered questions throughly. When we found out our cat’s health was declining, they listened and answered all my questions, and I never felt rushed by them. They guided me realistically but also compassionately. When we had to put our cat down they were so patient, kind, and compassionate from the moment I walked in. The woman who helped check me in (I wish I knew her name) was SO kind and I can’t thank her enough for how sweet she was. The vet that conducted the procedure was so calm and walked us through the whole procedure and showed so much empathy. All the staff were so professional, empathetic and understanding which made it a little easier knowing they also truly cared to make the experience the least traumatic. Thank you so much.

I am so glad they were taking new pets and could get us scheduled when so many places had no availability. You do have to put down a deposit for your appointment when you schedule it, so be prepared for that. Dr. Hershey was lovely to my dog and took time to listen to my questions and concerns, and then she helped price out the cheapest option for me to have her covered for h Worms, fleas, and ticks. The staff was lovely and they had their own dogs peacefully hanging out at their feet. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere made it easy on my anxious girl. Would definitely recommend this place to others. I got sick of companion pets never having any availability and I'm glad I found this place.

I've been going to Aloha Dog and Cat since 1999. Even after we relocated from Aloha to Hillsboro, we've continued going to Aloha Dog and Cat despite the longer commute. The staff is amazing ( the veterinarians, as well as the techs and the front staff). I always feel like my dogs are getting the very best of the best care. They truly love all three of our dogs (and previously our two cats who have now passes). They know them each by name.

I can't tell you how thankful I am that I found this vet! My dog has no more anxiety when visiting, in fact she loves to go now! If you're new to the area or just need a new vet, I highly recommend them! Everyone in this office is so nice and professional, I know my babies are in the best hands possible!

They were great the first year, but when we came back for a yearly check up this time, the different vet literally spent 5 mins to see our dogs. The vet also came in and started looking at dogs with no introduction at all, and my dogs didn’t behave well, which did not happen last year. Last year, the vet took her time to get to know our dogs so they feel comfortable and she made sure we ask any questions we have and get our answers. The appointment was nearly 45 min long and made us feel so good we chose this place for our dogs. This year, it felt like such a rip-off as we didn’t get any information about our dogs. We literally left with nothing and feeling so unfulfilled.

Absolutely amazing staff! I just got home with my giant fur baby from AD&C. We've been dealing with a bad skin condition above her eyes and her regular vet ( Hannah the Pet Society) kept saying there's nothing wrong. Well, 6 months down the road now and I finally got her medical records so I could bring Snow here and I'm so happy I did! Snow is usually pretty vocal at her vet appts because all Hannah's has is drop off appointments. AD&C let me stay with her the entire visit and they answered every single question I had. We got her a Cytopoint injection and antibiotic ointment. I'm so grateful for this place! They really truly care about their patients as well as the moms and dads who bring them. Looks like we found our new vet for Snow!

The veterinarians are new to me and to my family and my family's animals. My daughter has been taking her puppy to Aloha Dog and Cat and recommends them. All of the staff are friendly, professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. Each staffer listens closely to their pet owner's and to their concerns.

Front desk staff was kind and explained all the costs of the visit. We showed up early for our visit and were seen on time. The Doctor was very professional and actually took the time to answer all our questions and was very kind and professional. I'm happy to have my pups as new patients here and am glad to have a good, reliable, local veterinarian.

The vets, technicians and staff are professional, kind and caring. The hospital, from reception to ther back door is squeaky clean and sanitary. Our pets are given the best possible attention in their care for more than a decade.

I brought my old boy Prince Charming to see them and they were so kind and thorough. They gave him so much affection and were informative about any concerns we had. Cannot love them enough and will definitely be bringing Prince there in the future should he need it!

We moved here from out east back in 2020 and asked a local friend for her vet recommendation and ended up here, I'm so glad we did! I have since recommended them to several friends who have moved here, or people looking for a new vet. They respond quickly to emails (within a day, usually, please be realistic in your expectations), when we've had medical issues with our pets they've gone above and beyond to fit them in with a drop-off appointment, if we're up front about a budget they do their best to stay in it (again, please be realistic in your expectations here! we spent $330 on our most recent medical issue, and that's a steal). Sometimes it's still hard to realize how expensive vet care in general is now, especially compared to coming from rural east coast prices (RIP my wallet) but that's not their fault! Their prices are very reasonable! Their current exam price as of May 2023 is about $80 and a tech visit for an injection is $40, this is of course subject to change or have different circumstances, plus tests and meds are obviously extra, but just as a very basic reference for cost, since my first visit here after our move from a very cheap rural vet was a bit of a shock 😆 We have four pets who have all been here for regular care and in all those yearly visits, injection visits, dental cleanings, and medical issue visits, we've had ONE misunderstanding about the cost of a test and they immediately worked it out with us. They also very obviously care about our pets, and at our last emergency appointment (paw abscess) I asked if they had time, could they do his nails, but I understood if they couldn't - it's a dropoff appointment for an emergency! - and they managed to squeeze it in on top of everything else they did for him. They even let him exit out the side door to avoid the waiting room because sometimes he's not a fan of other dogs. If I could give them five stars twice, I totally would!

Been taking my cat here for a while, dog joining soon too. Priced well, friendly staff, I’ve always great experiences with the doctors. If it’s convenient for you, do it!

I have been bringing pets to Aloha Dog and Cat for almost three decades now. From my Moms cat being put down, to my childhood kitten and then our family dog. Now with my own two dogs and kitty as an adult. This practice has remained ever kind, gentle, patient and informative. I moved away and had to see other vets and not one has really met the level of excellence in care I’ve experienced here. My dog is blind and deaf so I am pretty picky about the care she receives…They have by far given my dogs the best treatment for the best price out of any vet in the area. They really take their time to hear out your concerns and thoroughly investigate your pets. I cannot recommend them enough!

Beyond just their top notch skills and knowledge, they have the most compassionate and friendly staff you could ask for. VERY fair pricing and no gouging or push to do tests that aren't genuinely necessary. Love this clinic. As do my pets. Have referred many people to them.
