    Disappointed. We went from a noon reservation (birthday) to being seated at 12:45 no service until 1:30 with a packed table of 8 ( no otjer people were in the whole restaurant) We were told a large party came. It was hot, restaurant looked under construction, not clean, the hostess was clueless. Now Derrick, our chef, came to save the day. He cooked all orders to perfection and the table was happy. Derrick made the experience a 10 out of 10. Management should be ashamed. Stop using large parties as an excuse for the lack of order and basic customer service. Do better because you still charge the same amount of money for service.

    Tiffany is a fantastic waitress very attentive. Derrick the cook huge shout out to you I’ve never had my steak medium well but he’s such a great chef that he cooked it medium well and I couldn’t even tell. I will most definitely be returning to this location

    We went to Benihana (Alpharetta location) on July 27 to celebrate my daughter’s b’day. We had made reservation for 7:30 pm for 14 people, a day ahead. We got 2 tables/booth around 8:15 pm, drinks around 9 pm and the chef came at our table to prepare the food at 9:55 pm. The place looks run down, cleanliness is a big issue, and they are very short staffed. The staff is nice but if they have logistics issue then they should have refused to take our reservations, a day ahead when we called them. The hostess who was taking our order was also the bar tender. The only saving grace for this place is their the hostess/ bar tender and chef. They made sure our dinner was not completely ruined. I feel like the management who runs the restaurant does not staff the restaurant appropriately and yes cleanliness is a big concern. I had gone to the same location 2 years ago before Covid had hit us. At that time, they were very professional and place looked immaculate. But this time when I went to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, it was huge disappointment. I am definitely not going to this location again.

    I booked a reservation for 3 at 7:45… don’t seat us until 8:15 and sit for TWO HOURS without being served past the appetizers. The waitress stopped by a total of three times… once for our our, one to bring the drinks and one to bring the appetizers. They could not care less about the experience of their customers. No discount, complimentary items or anything. There were other tables served before us that were seated AFTER and they had no reservation! The waitress even lied to us about the number of employees working after several others at our table confronted her about the service. To add on, during these two hours not ONE table around us was cleaned after customers left. We sat there and saw the same 5 disgusting tables for over two hours. Unbelievable that a restaurant can run like this. And the stinger is that we paid $50 per person for this… go to Tokyo Boat instead of you’re looking for hibachi, or literally any decent steakhouse if you want something better for your money.

    Probably the worst and slowest service I've ever experienced. Our Reservation was at 8pm. It took 30 minutes for them to come take the drink and food order. Another 15 minutes to bring the drinks (25 minutes for one lady at our table because she got a mixed drink) then another 25-30 minutes for them to bring out the salad and soup. There was only 1 set of silverware on the table for 8 people, so someone had to go up to the host to get plastic silverware. At that time they still hadn't turned on the cooktop. So, over an hour after being seated, there was no chef or entrees in sight. We ended up leaving and no one at the front desk or any of the servers seemed to realize or care. I will not be recommending this place to anyone and will definitely not be returning. Waiting for almost 2 hours for food at the prices they charge is ridiculous. And the worst thing is that there was no apology or sympathy from anyone in the restaurant. The only thing we were told us that it's always like this where they are under staffed and over booked.

    We arrived around 8:15pm and were told only seating available without a reservation was at the bar, which was fine. The bartender Dasia was very friendly and gave great service. The food was slow to come out of the kitchen but tasted good other than the chicken being a little dry. We would recommend trying one of the local hibachi restaurants before the big chain as we've definitely had better experiences with some local spots.

    Waitress quit while we were being service. The cook skipped our table. Had a reservation and had to wait over an hr to be seated. I asked the manager mr.walter for some water while waiting. He brought me a half full glass of water. Dirty glass. No straw. I had to go to the bar and ask for a plastic cup. Bathrooms nasty. Workers and manager in pics. I”ll never come here again.

    "Very Long Wait, Great Chef" Visited Benihana for a birthday celebration. The reservation was for 7:00 pm, but please note that they do not seat partial parties, so everyone must be present. However, despite this requirement, we were not seated until 8:00 pm. Be aware that there is a significant amount of waiting time at this location. We placed our drink and meal orders approximately 15 minutes after being seated. The appetizers, soups, and salads, arrived about 10 minutes later. However, our chef did not arrive until much later. Nevertheless, our chef turned out to be the highlight of the evening. He was very understanding and provided an impressive show while preparing the meal. I must say, it was one of the better tasting hibachi meals I've had in a while. Shortly after we finished our meal, the drinks we had ordered around 2 hours earlier finally arrived. Since the meal was already over, we sent the drinks back. Unfortunately, we never had a chance to speak to the manager. Needless to say, if you decide to visit this place, be prepared to wait. 5 - Chef, 3 - Waitstaff, 1 - Bartender, 1 - Management

    I know the stars may be confusing, but we waited over an hour and a half with a reservation because they had no cooks. The food was good. Another chef cooked the food and brought it to us, so we didn't get a show or see our food cooked in front of us. The waitress was good as well, she checked on us frequently. I'm just glad I was with good company because of not I would have left. Arrived at 8:50 pm left at 11:20 just to give you a better understanding of the wait time.

    We had an amazing date night experience with chef Derrick tonight. This was my first time at this location and certainly not my last! Milani was an excellent waitress and checked in on us frequently. Please request Derrick. The hospitality and quality of the food was the best I’ve had at any Benihanas!

    The service was great but food was amazing. Our chef Derrick made THE best food we’ve had here in the last year. Everything was seasoned to perfection, the steak was tender and tasted AMAZING!     Solid hibachi with a fun chef, great food and presentation. Took a little longer then a usual hibachi experience to get started but once it did - they made it for it with the right culinary and entertainment experience.

    Derrick was very nice!!! He made the food and it was sooo good!! I enjoyed my first time here and he did some different things I’ve never seen at another hibachi I loved it! I’m going to request him all the time! And we were served fast and everyone was nice !!! Loved it and the food wa great c:

    My first visit to Benihana I was ecstatic when I arrived, but disappointed when I had to wait 30 minutes past my reservation time just because they were cleaning a table. My colleagues and I were promptly seated, and they began taking our orders. I ordered hibachi shrimp and fried rice. The chef demonstrated an amazing attitude while cooking in front of us, displaying nothing but laughter and practical jokes! The correct portion of food was thereafter served. It completely satisfied me and left me with a substantial amount of food. It's safe to assume that we all went home with leftovers. Overall, for my first visit to Benihana, it was a lovely evening, and I would return.

    Food was good but not awesome, the Chef had a great attitude and made up for the other parts and that is why servixe is not at 1 star... The hostess at the entrance told us the wait would be about 40 minutes with an attitude that looked that they preferred we would have left... Then it looked that they had a lack of managers in place, the staff was in the kitchen joking loud and screaming, the place had brooms and garbage collectors by the entrance looking very disorganized...

    If I could give absolutely 0 stars I would. Let me start off by saying (and this is coming from a black woman herself) this is by far the FIRST Benihana I have EVER went to that was completely, absolutely and utterly GHETTO. The wait was horribly long we waited an hour to be seated. Once we were seated they took our orders brought us some water and we waited an Hour for the Appetizers. While waiting for the appetizers there was a bug crawling on the table which kind ? I have no idea but my Boyfriend squashed it 😭😭😭😭 that should’ve been our first and only indication to leave but a Manager came over so I felt a little sense of relief but when I began to tell him my concerns about the condition of the restaurant he responded very rude and said that he’s only ONE of the managers which lead me to believe why the place was in shambles the whole 49 mins my boyfriend and I were waiting to be seated there was a table across from us that didn’t get cleaned I’m assuming its probably still dirty this instance bc the restaurant was nearing closing time shortly before we left, the young lady that was supposed to be cleaning tables was far too busy bumping her gums the whole night on her phone, then fraternizing with her fellow male employee . I guess the employees their have never heard of “theres a time and place” they continuously chatted instead of cleaning even with the presence of the possible not possible Manager on site, then you had one of the fellow chefs making very uncomfortable race jokes all dang on night. I felt humiliated for the patrons seated at his table. So after sitting in misery for well over an hour and talking to the “Manager” we decided wed let him know we’re leaving, we wasted enough time at the Circus today but thanks for the Soup and water!

    We came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and it was incredible. The manager RJ came by to check on us multiple times despite the restaurant being very busy. Chef, Steven Davis was quite incredible, very personable, and original in his commentary and cooking presentations. Our server Matthew was very attentive. Overall a remarkable birthday experience!

    I went to Benihana for my birthday dinner and it was amazing from the front door to my server and cook. Also I would like to thank the manger Belle as well for the great hospitality! Would recommend to visit!

    It was an overall good experience. Only tried the sushi bar section during this visit, not the hibachi section. Pros: The food was pretty tasty. We got a lunch boat, eel sashimi, and a banana berry smoothie. The staff was punctual and polite. The place was a bit empty just before lunch hour, but that made getting seated much easier. Con: I was a bit disappointed because I've been told time again that this place is where higher class people go and expected luxury food and service. There are more extravagant places to go to, such as Canoe and the rotating restaurants that are also in Georgia.

    Besides the overly, extended, long wait, the service from our waitress and chef was more than amazing!!! Their professionalism and sweet hospitality made up for the lack or service we received while waiting forever for a table! The food was great!!! I couldn’t even finish eating all of it. My chef made sure that we got our monies worth!

    We took 47 people. At first I was a little upset because I had made reservations, had wanted 4:30 but they asked us to come at 4. When we got there they had forgotten we were coming, I guess? They weren’t ready until after 4:30. HOWEVER…after that it was WONDERFUL! Food was delicious, serving staff was kind and happy, chefs were fun…it was a BLAST! They all were so nice and on top of everything. Definitely recommend this location!

    The experience started of slow, but improved with the attention to detail the chef and server provided. The food was good and better by the staff. While my family and I, frequent similar establishments in our home town, Charleston, SC, it is the first time we've encountered a black chef working in this forum. Be that as it may, I would recommend this place.
